Some individual hits, but overall felt inconsistent. Not sure how I felt about this one,

Can't believe I've never listened to this front to back. Maybe one of the best four song stretches ever. Everything felt so tight, crisp, and intentional.

Some tasty drums and keyboard fills.

First experience with Hole. A lovely grunge punk surprise. Jennifer’s Body is my favorite off this.

Trying not to let her passing impact how I viewed this listening, but hot damn this is gorgeous. Incredible songwriting, fun instrumentals, and easy to listen to.

Gave it a try. Unfortunately felt empty. Great synth and bass only gets you so far.

Oh I was not familiar with your game

I have a hard time with Bowie. Sometimes great, sometimes confusing, sometimes boring.

Out of my element in the best way with this one. Already gave it a second listen. Groovy when it needs to be.

Overall a fun listen! Some real weird choices at times but it works. Not quite a 4 but definitely more than a 3. Probably won’t revisit.

Fond college memories with this album. Lingers at times but held up well.

It’s alright

The highs are high and the lows are okay. I’m not too familiar with the Rolling Stones but they’re never what I expect. Worth a relisten.

Incredible disco funk pop. A little conflicted since it’s basically a Nike Rodgers and Chic album, but I won’t let that take away from the fact that I had a fun time.

Didn’t finish this one. It’s not for me, but there is some talent and a couple highlights from what I did listen to. There are plenty of people who do like Slipknot and I love that for them.

This was a real blind listen. Thought it sounded familiar and then saw the band lineup. Tracks 4-8 were the highlights.

What a fun time. I’ve heard all the singles but never done a full listen through. Emotional, angsty, and a great blend of grunge and alt with some pop elements.

I had a weirdly eerie feeling listening to this one and after some reading, it makes sense. A weirdly powerful yet fragile album that was a little unsettling at times through the funk. Might be the most fascinating listen so far.

The charming allure of Don’t Know Why fades quickly. Some of the arrangements and her voice are beautiful, but this felt extremely mediocre overall and just plain boring.

Phife and Tip arguably at their best just trading bars back and forth. A slightly darker departure from their previous work that still holds up.

Spacey vibes and great production don’t fully compensate for the fact that I was just bored.

Vulnerable and creative listen. Everything feels so intentional yet authentic. I loved everything musically and lyrically. Up there with Sly for my favorite listens so far.

The Clash is one of those groups that I know, but haven’t listened to much outside of their hits. Expecting a punk album, I was pleasantly surprised to hear ska and some blue inspired rock. Felt a little contrived at points, it overall solid. Probably a 3.5 personally but I’ll give a 4 for now and revisit.

An enjoyable listen with some fun moments. Not too serious, not too silly. Lags a little at times but was definitely worth a listen. Probably a 3.5.

Sample looping can go wrong quickly, it this one works. I got J Dilla vibes at times, which is a positive. Maybe it’s my ADHD brain that enjoyed this, but it’s an absolute gem.

Shoegaze is hit or miss for me. This wasn’t a total miss, but definitely not a hit. I’ve liked their other stuff more.

Brit pop slop. Not super into it, but does have some fun moments. Closer to a 3 than a 2.

Mmmmmm it's alright. I find Jack White to be polarizing musically. There were some real hits for me like Blue Orchid, Little Ghost, and Red Rain, but there was also some extremely boring moments that felt like experimental misses. I've enjoyed other White Stripes stuff more.
