I might get crucified, but i've never been a massive fan of joni - i respect the music but, it's just never had a mass appeal to me. However, I think this is one of, if not her most, accessible albums, it definitely has its place
Bringing It All Back Home is an undeniably influential album, but it doesn't completely click with me from start to finish. The electric first half is exciting and groundbreaking, while the acoustic side has brilliant moments, though it loses a little momentum overall.
Live/Dead is a really interesting snapshot of the Grateful Dead at their most free-flowing. The extended jams are obviously the main attraction, especially "Dark Star" and "The Eleven", and when they lock into a groove, it's incredible. That said, it's definitely not an album I reach for every time. Some of the improvisations feel a little too loose for me, and the long tracks can make it feel like a bit of a commitment.
