Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Aug 17 2026

This album was very shoegaze adjacent, more than I thought it would be, but without the kind of grating noise that the worst examples of the genre are folly to. I liked the clean guitar sounds, and the lyrics that invoke the title of the album are very striking.

Band On The Run by Paul McCartney and Wings

Did not like it. Kinda understand why John and George left the way they did.

Really enjoyed this! Was expecting more hip-hop and was pleasantly surprised by the electronica/trip-hop elements

Blood On The Tracks by Bob Dylan
Sep 01 2026

this is Bob Dylan at his finest - still the same provokingly imagistic lyrics but paired with an elevated musical sensibility from his work in the 60s. "you're gonna make me lonesome when you go" is so delightful in its yearning and melancholic joy and it is a true Dylanesque song in that no one can cover it well - it needs the unique grain and timbre of his voice "lily, rosemary, and the jack of hearts" might be one of the greatest examples of storytelling wrapped up in ghazal form "tangled up in blue" has such a strong, pulsing rhythm from the get-go and the color contrast between the song title and the album cover has always been one of my favorite details
