something about prison inmates enjoying a live country music concert is kinda wholesome
ok mr. brightside duh but the rest are lwokey bangers. "glamorous indie rock and roll" surprisingly an earworm
groovy and I love r&b as much as the next person but did start getting kind of repetitive as the album went on. easy listening ig
rip dolly
TIL noise rock exists. first two songs or so were meh, rest of was actually sort of cool, but everything is rather forgettable after the fact. I can do without most of the vocals. i probably wouldn't relisten unless i Want background noise playing that is more interesting than White Noise so there's theoretically a use case at least
the lyrics are peak but the arrangements >> how her voice tends to sound to me.. got used to it as the album went on tho... some of the later songs hit hard, overall this was a really great listen, would listen again, but only when i wanna get deep in my feels or something
(jingle bells jumpscare for the saddest song bruh :sob: why'd she twist the knife like that)
wooooo big band
cool
we're the robots mentioned o.o
basically we got daft punk at home. I would like this more if it some of the songs weren't so long and repetitive. there were cool sounds but not cool enough to really justify the lengths
the lesser popular ones on this album were decent sounding but i personally i can sort of tell why they are not as popular lol
Legit dont remember anything oops
somehow very unmemorable (except for that one part of that one song with weird vocal effects). could not care less. wouldn't really listen again
peak entertainment and kinda sad which then became full on sad. all in an enjoyable way
girl was going through it but i do like a lot of the lyrics
Her voice is nice. many songs feel like a warm hug. some got my head bopping in some places
it's just all pretty good? i am biased toward liking this genre overall. not much specifically stood out. a reluctant 4 stars because i did technically like everything i heard and it would be a fine addition to my collection (might relisten to whole album sometime)
"its tricky" being iconic is kind of what is pulling the weight here
the other songs were fine sounding but idk most raps weren't quite so memorable aside some of these people's names
great beats, smooth bars, although for some reason i started to get a bit tired after "can i kick it" (which i did like), but prob just a skill issue on my part. "ham n eggs" was hilarious so i got back into a good mood starting from there
ah yes sounds like tripping on and coming down from ecstasy and LSD not that I know what that feels like. didn't hate it or anything but as the album progressed it just kind of just made me feel kinda depressed (coming down must be awful), started becoming less standalone nice to listen to and more like the type of stuff that requires you to be high while listening. "movin' on up" is really great tho
Every song was ok (i dont remember) or pretty good, except the third just caught me off guard and not in a good way... what was that
absolute jazz
meh i thought this was gonna be semi iconic, but i guess not my cup of tea
saxes go brr
i have learned that i actually tend to enjoy blues
a bit too much misogyny for my taste!
however if i pretend i am not hearing english but i am just hearing cool ~vocal flow~ then ok
holy nostalgia (for that one song) but the general vibe of the album gets my approval
I mean it's alright
(*reads wikipedia article description* thanks i hate it)
The non-singing vocals annoy me, but i like the instrumentals.. and apparently the album influenced Arctic Monkeys which checks out sonically so I will slightly tolerate it
nice vibe
big shrug
man idk
that early 2000s sound i enjoy
