First Band On The Moon by The Cardigans
Sep 21 2026

Good, overall. It's an album I'd enjoy listening to at the right venue (a coffee shop or maybe like a Bed Bath and Beyond) but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to listen to it. With that being said, Lovefool is a good song I enjoy listening to, and the first few tracks felt like they were continuously teasing this song.

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Sep 22 2026

Hated the piano in Aladdin Sane and then it came back at times. Overall, not very notable. I wouldn't come back to it.

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Sep 23 2026

I liked "Down to You" Good for a cafe setting, but not something I'd go out to listen to

Ghosteen by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Sep 25 2026

Overall, not my tempo. I hated the first track, "Spinning Song," because it was weird. I'd describe the genre as high vibration, mystic, spoken word -- something that I'd listen to at a weird yoga studio or stumble onto via a YouTube video called something like "high concentration, high vibration study music." But, in my quest to define what I had heard, I learned that this album was created after the loss of the singer's son. I have a newfound appreciation of what it is, but still don't "get" it. So, I respect it, but if I was ever listening to it and someone said, "yo, what are you listening to?" I'd lie and say that I was listening to something less embarassing.

Melodrama by Lorde
Sep 29 2026

Greenlight is a good song, I haven't heard it in years, it seems. Overall, a pretty solid album. The issue I'm running into these is that I wouldn't really go out of my way to listen to most of these. In the least critical way, I think this album would hit so hard if I was a teenage girl.

Hotel California by Eagles
Sep 30 2026

Hotel California and Life in the Fast Lane really set the album to a fast pace, but I liked Wasted Time and Pretty Maids a bit more. This album is between a 4/5 for me, but I'll round up.

Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin
Oct 01 2026

Alright. Unnotable. We listened to it in the office and I kinda forgot it was playing. Madi said 3.75, I say 3.

Oct 02 2026

This was a pretty fun album. Very 80s and something that would be a good, upbeat change of pace. The only song I recognized was "All of My Heart" but tbh most of it sounded the same.

Station To Station by David Bowie
Oct 06 2026

A good listen, but no songs stood out. 3 stars.

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Oct 07 2026

Pretty unnotable.

The Rising by Bruce Springsteen
Oct 08 2026

On first listen, it was alright and nothing notable. Nothing like the earlier Springsteen hits and songs I'd relegate + never seek out in his discography. But then, I got to My City of Ruins - a song about Asbury Park and modified to pertain to the 9/11 Attacks and NY's rebuild. With my proximity growing up to both places, the song -- and the album, retrospective to my listening -- takes on entire new meaning. This isn't my favorite album, nor do I really "like" it, but its meaning should not be lost. I think there are some albums that require context and, for me, at least, this is one of them. Bruce emerged from the dust to sing the feelings of Americans, New Jerseyans, firefighters, and those going through devastation and rebirth. In some ways, the personal connect transcends what I hear. 4/5 stars, with the added boost.

Let Love Rule by Lenny Kravitz
Oct 09 2026

Unnotable. As another reviewer of another album opined, if the songs are easy to work to, that usually means that they may receive a lower score. This album seemed a bit unnotable to me. I'd never seek it out. I did not like the song "Mr. Cab Driver" because it sounded like a montage song they'd use in a children's cartoon when a character begins work as a cab driver or driving his friends on his bike. I skipped that song and I think it's been the first song I skipped before finishing.
