The Story So Far is the third album by punk pop/rock band The Story So Far. It's a pleasant album and if it was from the early 2000s it would have been interesting. Being from 2016... I heared it all before, not once, twice or a few times. The songs are fine, the performance is good, but nothing stands out. At least not to give it four stars or more and listen to it a third time. "Heavy Gloom" and "Solo" are interesting songs.

Rating: 9/10 Best songs: Smile, Heavy gloom, Solo, Mock, How you are, Nerve, Scowl, Stalemate

This does such a perfect impression of an era of music I feel a lot of nostalgia for that I genuinely had a hard time believing the release date isn't just a typo. This would've been absolutely enormous in the emo scene when I was in high school.

A new artist for me but truly the absolute best kind of pop punk/emo from my youth. Best played loud in a car full of friends

Pop punk. Está bien. Un 4, venga.

This throws me back to the angsty teenage years. I did not know this particular band that well. But I liked it a lot

Surprisingly good

I've listened to them casually but never a full album. It's solid pop punk. Doesn't really break the mold but it does its job well. Kinda derivative especially coming in 2015 though.

It's good, but nothing stands out as unique. Really sounds like a lot of other albums and artists on this list already. Maybe it gets better with time...

I knew Nerve and Stalemate from The Story So Far but not the whole album, plus some of their other singles/known songs like High Regard and Clairvoyant and Things I Can't Change (my favourite of those), but a lot of it sounds really similar and I think it's why I've never really taken them on as a band I really like from a genre that I'm big on. It's not really creative enough, it's too safe for pop-punk, and there's a predictability to the vocal arrangements where it feels like they're just imitating a lot of their predecessors. It's still good like, I could listen just fine and not be bored like countless 2/5s, but it's too plain to really excite, so a low 3.

A change of pace for this list and I got super excited as it lead off. The vocals are pretty "one-note" though.

This album adds nothing new. It's fine but this type of album is on here a ton. My personal rating: 3/5 My rating relative to the list: 3/5 Should this have been included on the original list? No.

I like the 11th grade art class project pen and ink fantasy cover art. Musically it rests solidly in a genre of so-called punk that always struck me as more just rock with a harder edge. It's well constructed and well performed, not sure it brings anything terribly innovative but not a bad listen.

Lots of mid pop punk recently

Fun, but nothing particularly original.

Interesting poppy punk album that went down pretty easy. Pretty good.

I was super moody the day I listened to this and that was perfect

J’ai accumulé un incroyable retard, j’ai pas le temps à perdre avec ça

Reminded me a lot of Hundred Reasons, which I listened to after this. I didn’t mind this album but lacked a little something for me.

я не могу слушать музыку за этими голосами, зачем же они так надрываются…

Another where I would love to know why it was nominated. Must be something there. I just didn’t see it.

This sounds like every other shouty pop-punk thing. It's so fatiguing. Not going to get the lowest score because it's only half an hour long, and that's very considerate of them.

It's very serviceable emo, but indistinguishable from a great amount of other emo.

Just some standard pop punk? Didn't really wow me or challenge any conventions of the genre in a meaningful way. About 1700 albums in at this point, there's been more than a few LPs that sound exactly the same as this one and the repetition is getting annoying.

At the age of 14 you choose two or three emo pop albums that you will consider masterpieces until the day you die and every other emo pop album will sound like boring imitations of those two or three albums you hold dear. Alas, this was not one of my two or three.

Would have loved this if it came out in 2005, sadly 10 years too late for my taste.

Yuck! This subgenre of late 00 scream singing aged like potato salad left in the sun at a BBQ.
