1999
PrinceI just don't get Prince, there I said it.
I just don't get Prince, there I said it.
Now this is the weird shit I've been waiting for. Never heard of Can before but I love this type of music. It feels very ahead of it's time. I span this a couple of times today and will do so again as it was a trip. Keep this stuff coming.
This style of music is just so uninteresting to me
R.E.M. are a weird band. Objectively I understand why people like them, but at the same time find it wild that people could think this is the greatest music they’ve ever heard!
I once heard this described as a 'riff Bible'. It is such an incredible album and it does surprise me that it is on this list, even if it is my favourite Sepultura album.
It's fine, it's old school reggae, it's Bob. Easy listening for a Sunday morning, but doesn't get me going. Got Three Little Birds though, and that will always make me think of my Dad.
I had a friend who, about 20 years ago, used to play REM's greatest hits all the time. I was not a huge fan of them back then; some of the hits aren't bad but this is my first album experience. I'm not shocked that nothing here has changed my mind on the band. It's the guys voice I find a bit annoying I suppose, and the fact I just find this music really bland. More power to the people who like this but I like a bit more meat on my musical bones. Ohh, Strange starts off a bit like a watered down Green Day song, that was the highlight of the album. I can appreciate the hits from this album; they are solid enough. There are actually a few other flashes in here that go beyond mediocre.
Where to start? I got into Green Day back in '02, when I was 19. I played the shit out of International Superhits! When American Idiot dropped I had just seen Green Day headline Leeds festival (my first festival and Green experience) so to say I was in the height of my fanboy phase is an understatement. I remember watching the American Idiot music video weeks before and no joke, every single damn one of my friends owned this album. The end of 2004 and going into 2005 was a great time in my life and this album was the soundtrack. It was everywhere I went. House parties? Gaming with friends? While I was at work? This album was on constant rotation by me and everyone I hung out with. It was huge. It was my favourite Green Day album for the longest time but I rarely listen to it now. I have listened to it so many times that I kinda ruined it for myself. It will always be a 5* album for me though. The one song I can still happily revisit is Jesus of Suburbia. That song has everything. The other highlights for me are American Idiot, Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, St. Jimmy, Give Me Novacaine, Wake Me Up When September Ends and Homecoming. Pretty much the whole album.
Metallica have been in my musical DNA from a very early age, thanks to my older brother. I fell in love with them hard, myself, when I was about 20. They were my gateway into metal and for the longest time they were my all time favourite band. They have since been surpassed by Coheed and Cambria, but Master of Puppets remains a top tier Metallica album for me, as well as being one of the greatest representations of metal at it's finest. I love all the songs here, with the exception of Leper Messiah. That song leaves a bit to be desired but every other song is a banger. They've all been reviewed a million times but the longer songs Orion, and the title track are the best for my money. Not to say the others are slouches. Battery may be the single greatest metal opener, alongside Angel of Death and Clenching the Fists of Dissent. My first live experience watching Metallica was Download Festival 2006. It was the 20 year anniversary of this album and they played it in it's entirety and I kid you not when I sat I had an out of body experience! I there my whole being, body and soul into that show and was lucky to make it out alive! Perfection, or close enough.
It's a fun Christmas album, but still a Christmas album. I'm not someone who listens to certain music in certain seasons, other than at Christmas of course. I knew the majority these songs, and they are Christmas classics. A really good Christmas album is still just a Christmas album. I would never have much use for it outside of the season. Due to this I can't really rate it highly, even though it does what it should really well.
I don't listen to a great deal of old school hip hop, it's basically NWA I listen to. This is fine though, I've head some Public Enemy before, and definitely Bring Da Noise, due to being a metal head. You could argue that song was the precursor of Nu Metal. I might give this another spin in the future.
I can't say I've ever listened to a Neil Young album, so going in blind here. I'm not sure I even know any of the songs on this record. It's always weird rating an album with so much history and personal connection, when you have none yourself. I love that this COULD have been hugely influential on my music taste, had I been exposed to it as a kid. This starts of nicely enough and has a bluesy/country feel that I was not expecting. I can hear some Dylan influence in here as well. I gave this a second spin immediately after first, so I guess it was pretty good.
Another classic I never got round to checking out. Of course I already know the majority of the songs. I've always loved Highway Star, and it is still the highlight of the album as far as I'm concerned. Just a really great rock album that is rightfully loved by many.
I recognise the album cover but never listened to this band before. Due to the name I was going into this hoping it would be way more Psychedelic! It was pretty good though and I'd give it another shot sometime.
Not bad sound, I guess they were pioneers of this genre? Not what I was expecting but pretty good.
I always kinda liked Maggie May. I never would have listened to this normally and neither of my parents were particularly fans. I felt I'd like this more than any of his later albums. It's nicely bluesy and country in places. A nice listen for sure.
A very pleasant listen. I obviously knew the hits but also liked things like the little orchestral interlude. Not a band I've ever has much inclination to delve further into, but this is nice.
I went in open minded, but I felt this wouldn't be my thing. It's got that 80s vibe, and I am really not a fan of 80s pop. I'll continue to spin these sort of albums to see if I can be surprised but this one didn't do it for me at all.
Yea this was nice. You can't really go wrong with all these classic 60s albums. I already knew a few songs and I'll likely revisit.
Nice enough listen. Not much grabbed me but pleasant enough.
My first Elvis album experience. Not bad by any stretch, and I can see why people are such huge fans. I would've liked to listen to this with my Dad ❤
This wasn't a bad listen musically, but I am REALLY not a fan of Morrisey's vocal delivery, I find it kind of grating. It certainly effects my enjoyment of this album and brings the score down. I know I won't be revisiting this but I'm OK with that.
It took me a long time to really get around to giving Radiohead a good go. I started to delve into them just over a year ago. I've listened to all their albums, and although I have no clear favourites this is up there. I know this album will continue to grow over time, but at the moment it is a solid 4.
Now this is the weird shit I've been waiting for. Never heard of Can before but I love this type of music. It feels very ahead of it's time. I span this a couple of times today and will do so again as it was a trip. Keep this stuff coming.
Pretty middle of the road rock, or at least that's how it feels to me. It's alright.
A pretty solid album. The songs aren't quite as memorable as those on Machine Head, but still really good.
This album exactly how I expected an 80s goth pop album to sound. I'm not a fan of 80s pop for the most part and this has too much of that era in its sound. I'd be interested to hear any of their later albums, and may give the band another try at some point.
I've never heard of these guys before and had high hopes, based on the album cover alone. This was fine, but very of its time. Unfortunately the 80s aren't a time that I particularly love so it wasn't as enjoyable for me as I'd hoped.
There's a reason I don't listen to anything pre 60s. I'm sure this is great, it's just not pushing my buttons.
I've never had a problem with Jane's Addiction, however nothing I've heard has ever made me want to listen any further. This was a really nice surprise. I liked this way more than I thought I would. I will 100% be spinning this again, great stuff.
Nice, this is like the French answer to Mike Oldfield.
This album did very little for me. I can't even really remember much about it and I've only just finished it!
One of my fave Beatles albums. Its punching for their best, for me, but just falls slightly short. Still undeniably great though.
Despite it not being my thing, it had moments that I didn't mind.
Loving the lyrics on this. I'll probably give it another go sometime. Nothing game changing but lyrically interesting if nothing else.
I don't listen to as much hip hop as I used to, but this is pretty good.
My first Kinks album. It was fine but I was a bit underwhelmed, it didn't feel to have any classic songs on there.
Yea this wasn't bad I suppose. I've not listened to a full Springsteen album before. It kinda sounded how I expected it.
Nice to have a more current release chucked in the mix. Not sure how I've never heard these guys, although I am aware who they are. I'll probably give this another spin, thus is really nice and the production is really good.
I wanted to like this, really I did. I can kind of appreciate it but it just isn't for me unfortunately.
I'll be honest, I got quite bored of this and couldn't finish it.
This album frustrated me a bit. I really liked parts of it, but it's all the 80s production that puts me off. I think if this album had been recorded and released 10 years earlier, I would've liked it more.
My brother is a big George Michael fan, and I don't mind the odd song. Of course I know Faith and there were a few other nice surprises in there. Considering I don't like 80s pop, pretty much in all cases, this was nice. It was bordering on a 4 if I'm honest.
This is why I am here, to discover bands and albums that I have no clue about. I went into this hoping for good things. It was fine though, nothing special on first listen.
Nice female fronted punk. Reminds me of a slightly more modern Souxsie and the Banshees
This, and Americana by The Offspring, were the first two albums I owned. I was 16 when this album came out and my brother burnt me a cassette tape of it. I have vivid memories riding the bus to college listening to this album on repeat. It was huge to me and totally suckered me in. I loved the follow up album but by like 2003 I was starting to move towards metal and punk rock. I still listen to this album from time to , and rate it highly.
Korn have always been one of those bands where I like a handful of songs, but never really fell for any of their albums. Of course this has Freak On a Leash, amongst a few other hits.
This is one that I have on vinyl, an original press that belonged to my dad ❤ I obviously had to bust it out for this. I don't have a great deal of experience with Zappa, outside of this album, but I do really dig this. It's a great listen top to bottom and that fuses jazz with prog rock at the time. Great stuff
A nice pleasant enough listen. I might revisit one day as this was alright.
I don't have too much of a problem with Robert Smith's voice, although I thought I might. This is quite a nice listen but didn't particularly enthrall me.
I found this really bland. I may be holding a prejudice against this band as The Dear Hunter are one of my favourite bands, but people always think I'm talking about this band when I mention them.
Yea, not really my thing.
Lovely listen, it really is. I can repeat an album that has an 11+ minute funk epic!
I'd heard lots of praise for this in recent years and it was pretty good. Will definitely be spinning again. Very synth heavy in places and it's almost like a post-rock album at times
A nice country/folk album. Quite a pleasant listen
Mainly instrumental and not half bad.
Banger after banger on this one. Not the sort of music I'd usually choose to listen to, but this is good.
Another nice album from the era
This album is fine. Quite why it is in the list of 1001 greatest albums, I don't know.
I dunno, it seems like fairly uninspiring hip hop to me. If anything he sounds as bored as I felt.
A second hip hop album that pretty much underwhelmed me. It was the first genre I fell for but I guess I'm happy just listening to the hip hop I know, and not too hot on looking for something new.
Never been a huge fan of The Doors, this album is as good as any of the others I heard. A few nice songs and I can see why others like them.
I liked this. You could hear the influences this band had on many bands that came after them.
Another day, another Bowie album. Like most I can take it or leave it. It's a nice album to listen to but nothing that really makes me want to come back to it.
My Dad was a fan of all things prog, and Traffic were one of his favourites. I have a copy of this on vinyl that belonged to my Dad. I can't say I love it as much as my Dad did, but this is pretty good.
Great album. I vividly remember my sister got a CD player and this album, back in 94, for her 15th birthday. She played this album a lot and I always kinda liked it. Haven't played it in years but it's still great.
Full of bangers. This album has got to be one of the most accessible hip hop albums of all time. Great stuff.
A nice relaxing jaunt.
Pretty sweet. I don't think I've ever actually listened to Sonic Youth before but I'd check this our again.
I gave this a go but country is really not my thing.
Honestly not bad
Of course I know the hits but first time listening to an album. I love punk but generally not the classic stuff. This is better than average though and reminds me of The Dead Kennedys.
Nice enough for my first Gaye album. The sort of thing my wife and I could probably listen to together.
I get why people like this but I don't really think it's my thing. It's fine though.
My Dad would have got a kick out of me listening to this for sure. I can respect it but it just doesn't do anything for me.
A landmark album. I am a huge metal head but I can't listen to a great deal of grindcore. I prefer the longer songs, so especially the first half.
This takes me back 20 years! My brother was really into his early 00's RnB/Hip Hop. Nice listening, for nostalgia's sake, but wouldn't revisit.
I'm not as in love with Nirvana as the majority of people seem to be. This is clearly a landmark album though and I can't really fault it.
It's country, and as much as it's pleasant, country doesn't do anything for me.
Nice enough, I remember Maps being on Guitar Hero, or Rock Band or something. Nice listen.
These old school albums are very much of their time. Unfortunately The Beatles have always been as far back as I can go.
I was already pretty sure Roxy Music wasn't for me. This only proved me right, couldn't finish it.
Another classic band/album that I have already experienced enough to know they're not really my thing. I wasn't proven wrong.
Another 80s pop album, which is definitely not my genre.
Yea it's fine, easy listening.
I get why she is loved, but not for me.
Better than that other REM album on this list.
Good songs but not my bag.
I'm not generally a fan of the classic punk era but I do like The Damned!
It's a no from me.
One of my all time favourite albums and possibly my favourite by Stevie.
It's quite bloated but it's not terrible.
It's a classic for a reason. I'm a big fan of Dream Theater, who were in many ways just a heavier Rush. Outside of a few sings though I've never got into Rush.
Couldn't even finish it.
Another day, another album that is just fine.
It was fine but really don't see how it made it into this list.
Pleasant but a bit boring if I'm honest.
I can kind of appreciate Kate Bush, but it's not my thing.
I just don't get Prince, there I said it.
Nice
Kinda cool I suppose.
It's fine as far as old school blues goes.
It's nice background music but the album was too long for me.
A bit of a blander listen than I was hoping for, but not bad at all.
60s music for me is usually completely overshadowed by The Beatles. This is great. Obviously the singles are the best, but it's all good
More blues, it's fine
As far as modern music goes, on the pop side of things, I like it
I just can't get on with Morrisey's vocals, I find them really grating!
Another Country album! Still not my thing.
Really cool psych rock
Easy listening but not my jam
Pretty good hip hop
I don't like 80s pop
Now this a band I've always kinda liked but never deep dived into them. Pretty good.
It's fine but I don't really get the appeal.
I'm not a huge Rush fan but this may be my favourite of theirs
Just a but boring
A gave this a go. Really not my jam but actually more likeable than I imagined
Yea it was ok
I can deal with some eras of Madonna. This is not one of them.
Rocking! Loved them for years and good to see them on here.
I liked it a lot and will definitely revisit. Reminded me of Mike Oldfield.
This is a nostalgia hit, my sister used to love this band.
I used to like a few Kid Rock songs as a kid, I couldn't finish this though.
I gave it a go.
Yea this was pretty nice actually
As a huge metal head, I've never really actually got on with Iron Maiden. This ones ok
I had no idea this was an industrial band/album. It reminded me of Ministry, which I was fine with. Nice surprise here.
This is the sort of thing I like to get thrown my way. Totally out of my wheel house, and I've never heard of him before.
A nice listen
Country just ain't for me
Nice enough jaunt
Nice to have something that's kind of in my wheelhouse, that I'd not heard of. This was OK but nothing amazing
I love the 90s. Yea, another album full of hits from my childhood
This is OK for what it is but it's too dated for me really. I know I'd never choose to listen to it.
Not quite what I was expecting from my first Kraftwerk experience. This is way more atmospheric than I imagined it'd be. Nice
I've been aware of this band for ages but never heard a lick. This wasn't bad but I was a bit underwhelmed. I may revisit though
Easy listening but nothing much to it.
Not bad at all, quite relaxing and nice to find an artist I'd never heard of.
I'm just not a fan of REM. I can't actually believe this is the third album of theirs on here!
Not bad as far as this type of music goes
I'm no expert on Radiohead, but of all the albums of theirs I've heard this is not one of the best. Not bad though.
Nice little album of it's era, not that I know many of the tunes off this one.
This is Latin American jazz. I don't know or listen to enough Latin America jazz to distinguish if this is great or not. It's fine but I wouldn't choose to listen to this.
One of my first rock records. Amazing album
I liked this enough to definitely revisit.
Nice, better than the other PJ Harvey album I've listened to I think.
Dark and brooding, nice
More of the sort of alternative music that I was hoping to hear more of. This is lovely relaxing music and the sort of thing my wife likes. As expected, when listening to this she asked me who it was.
I'm not really a huge fan of Pink Floyd but I know about Syd and his history. I was interested to hear this and I'm sure I could love it more on further listens but I'm not sure I'll revisit often.
I can't say I ever choose to listen to this style of music but it's nice enough. I don't really have a point of reference as to whether this I'd exceptional or not.
Objectively this isn't bad at all, but it's just really not my jam.
Pretty damn good
Not bad
Some nice smooth reggae. It helped that I was listening on a Sunday afternoon
Yea it's OK, I liked that other album of theirs more
My first listen to a My Bloody Valentine, which is a surprise. Not sure what I was expecting, other than to maybe like this more than I did. It was solid though.
I liked this WAY more than I thought I would!
So I guess I know most of these songs 😅
Funky fresh,it was alright
I remember checking this out a few years ago. I liked it, even though I'm not super into this style of music
Not the sort of music I'd ever find myself going back to. It was fine though
This sort of thing will only ever be background music, and the sort that I would personally never play.
I've been looking forward to getting some ABBA. I think I only knew one song from this album. It was OK but think I'll dig some of their classics even more.
Chock full of hits. The is the kind of Carpenters type music I can dig
Nice chill stuff, would listen again
I think I've got this on vinyl somewhere, it's fine, nothing special though.
The Stooges are ok and this is an alright listen. As a huge punk fan this doesn't do much for me.
As far as soundtracks to movies I've never seen go, this isn't too bad.
I didn't realise the Mastodon cover of A Spoonful Weighs a Ton was a Flaming Lips song. This was surprisingly better than expected.
Not as good as their later albums but clearly a sign of things to come.
As with many albums I seem to be rating, it was OK, nothing more
I just don't get how people can listen to this at all, let alone rate it one of the greatest albums of all time! This is coming from someone who listens to some unlistenable music
What an album! Yes there's the issue with the inaudible bass but it's Metallica at their most technical, on the cusp of world domination, when they were still pissed off. They were grieving for Cliff and they put this monster out. What I would give to be able to go back and see them on this tour.
What a great album. It's one that I've only fairly recently started listening to, which is weird.
As this someone who can't stand Gene Simmons, I have never listened to a KISS album. I went in with an open mind and this wasn't terrible. They're actually pretty cheesy and remind me of Meatloaf
I've been a casual Cypress Hill fan for years, but never heard this album before. A sign of things to come I guess, but not their best.
I've listened to enough David Bowie to know he'll never be my favourite artist, but I respect him. Hunky Dory is my favourite.
Really great actually, I'll be sticking this on again
This was more punk rock than 80s pop than I was expecting. Not all that bad
I'll admit, I went into this sure that I'd dislike it. I didn't love it, far from it, but it was more complex and varied than I'd thought a Police album could be.
Bit fed of saying albums are just 'fine', but here's another one 😅
Another 60s rock album that I probably didn't need. It was fine.
A great start to the band and heavy metal as a genre. Some real classics in here.
Classically beautiful but not the sort of thing I'd listen to regularly.
I prefer my punk to be American skate punk/melodic hardcore from the 90s, but this is ok
Not heard this album before, although I of course know some of the songs. A sign of greater things to come.
Actually quite a pleasant listen. I obviously knew the singles but there other nice songs as well.
Nice. Another I'd likely never have heard without this site. Not a genre I'd obsess over but this was something different
As much as Outkast are a nostalgia hit for me, this album is too long
I remember getting this the Christmas of '97. I wasn't interested in the slightest. Angels was alright but this was Robbie from Take That, and that was what my sister listened to! Outside of the singles this feels like Robbie trying to establish himself in the Britpop scene, as here are some serious Oasis/Blur similarities here. He was a little too late to the show but this isn't bad.
Quite nice for what it is
Dreary indie album is dreary
Pretty unoffenssive rock. It's fine but not particularly great.
It's reggae, I like reggae
I am just not a fan of 80s pop.
As far as jazz goes, this is pretty good background music
One of the better hip hop albums and one I definitely should've been into back when I first got into hip hop.
Another classic my sister used to play a lot
Not my fave Offspring album but an absolute banger
Getting tires of saying albums are just 'fine', but here's another one that is just that.
Surprisingly good. I went in with low expectations but this was pretty cool.
Not my jam but pleasant enough.
I went into this expecting some sort of 90s Britpop album but this was way better than I could've imagined, great stuff
For some reason I thought I was going to like thos more than I did. It was ok
I'm generally not a Kanye fan, and I had low expectations. This was OK,if a little overlong
Quite dull I'm afraid
Not for me
A stone cold classic that is just full of hits!
Not my favourite björk album, I think she clearly got better as she went on, but a pretty solid debut
A nice listen
I once heard this described as a 'riff Bible'. It is such an incredible album and it does surprise me that it is on this list, even if it is my favourite Sepultura album.
It's fine, another 60s album that doesn't sound as good as The Beatles
Bit more Psychedelic than some of the other generic 60s stuff. Nice.
Yea a really interesting listen
Fine, if a little on the boring side
It's pretty much flawless right? How many bangers can you fit on one album?
Another example of something that I'd never heard of, that us up my street. I dig things that are post-hardcore and this is nice.
I don't get Prince, probably never will
Very of it's time, but not something I can listen to.
Lots of songs I knew here that I didn't know who the actual artist was. Not bad.
More 80s pop, oh dear. This is slightly better than some of the other albums that have come through, but not by much.
Pretty solid funk, soul album, not what I was expecting, in a good way.
Loving brit pop at the moment and this is another classic
Yea a nice listen
Yea another solid one, good vibes
Some flashes of good stuff but generally quite middle of the road
More generic 60s rock, but nothing bad about it
Not bad I suppose
Simply Red were always one of the bands I said I HATED! All the singles I've heard have been atrocious and headache inducing. I went into Rhos with an open mind, and you know what it wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting!
Yea not bad I guess
Really nice collection of covers, cool stuff
Couldn't really find anything I liked if I'm honest
Ice Cube has always been one of my favourite rappers but I've not actually heard this album before. It's bordering on a 4/5 but just misses the mark.
Not my cup of tea
This was really quite good
Yea not bad
Went on a bit and not as good as I was hoping
Yea it's fine
It's not bad, just not my thing
Just not for me I'm afraid
Nice Mike Oldfield/movie soundtrack vibes. Pretty good.
Yea not bad
Nit really my jam to be honest
Another 60s album, what else can I say
It's a bop
Quite entertaining
This album is full of some really great samples, but I found altogether uninspiring
Another day, another Bowie album. It's fine
A pretty easy listening grunge album, not bad
Irish folk with some great outside influences actually pretty cool
It's fine, but nothing special
More average music that's not my thing
Yea, fun album
This is nice enough, and I get a lot of Led Zeppelin parallels. They probably harm it a bit though as it's not as good as any Led Zep album
Couldn't make it through it, really not for me.
It's far from their best and I'm surprised it made it onto the list to be honest
A whole album of Toy Story songs 😅
I understand that it's highly regarded and I like prog, but I don't love it as much as some
So I really don't like U2, but I gave this a chance. Not as terrible as I'd thought it might be, but still not my thing
Fun enough album that doesn't overstay its welcome
I don't mind the yeah yeah yeahs actually
Yea this album ain't bad
Sounds like it could've been released in the 50s
Yea it's not bad I suppose
How apt. I'm not too much of a fan of The Smiths, mainly because of the vocals. Unsurprisingly this didn't do much to change my opinion.
Another day, another average album
I listened but don't actually remember much about it
Nice, really nice
Yea pretty good, and a bit out there, which I like
I actually don't mind Beyonce but I didn't feed these songs particularly catchy, not her best
Not as good as the other Britpop albums I've received
Funky fresh
I can appreciate it for what it is,but would I relisten? No.
Not as Psychedelic as I was hoping
It's fine, but another one I don't understand
I knew more of these than I remembered. I'm not huge into this style but these are quite infectious songs
Of its time, but fine
Not as weird as I'd hoped
Everything I dislike about 80s music. It breaks my heart tat albums like this have a place over others
Definitely a nice listen
I'm as surprised as hell to find I enjoyed this. I'll be spinning again 👍
Overrated if I'm honest, I prefer The Wall or Wish You Were Here
Yea it's fine, not bad at all
Quite nice actually, beautifully trippy.
Hard to believe this is 16 years old! Like a more modern oasis. Not my favourite style but I can appreciate
Not bad, I hope other Jamiroquai albums will feature as this is far from their best
A nice trippy listen
Not bad, soulful voice
I appreciate what he is trying to do here but it is just not for me
The sort of jazz I can dig
Far from my favourite Ice Cube album. It's not terrible though, although some of it hasn't aged well.
This is the most like The Beatles I've ever heard them sound. Unfortunately, not as good, although some songs are killer.
Already knew some of these songs. I can hear some post punk in here, which is cool
I'm a huge punk fan, and this is fairly good punk. I'm not too into the classic punk bands/sound but The Buzzcocks are pretty good.
This was some good Britpop. I could hear Jarvis channelling some Bowie and Roger Waters
Yea it's alright. Didn't realise Airbourne owed them so much
Paul Simon is just not really for me, I know this
Not my favourite hip hop artist, but not bad
Another album that's OK, nothing stood out particularly
Quire a long one, but a good performance
Just full of bangers. Is it possible to listen to MJ without moving?
Not for me
Today was the first time I realised I've only really listened to Elephant. Thos was alright, but not quite as good.
Not bad
Bit of a let down compared to the other Suede album I heard.
Just a bit boring
It's surely another Kinks album
Long, and uneventful
Pleasant
This was close to being a 5/5! Great album.
Not my jam but I can respect it
I can appreciate the importance, but I'd not listen to it again
Surprisingly good
Nice ambient/atmospheric stuff, but not sure I'd revist often
I can appreciate her voice but just find this boring
A bit long, but some bangers nonetheless
Literally nothing wrong with this album
Easily my favourite Bowie album, but I'm far from a huge fan
Just a bit boring to be honest
Surprisingly great
I think Nirvana are overrated but this is still a good album
As always, this was fine
Not my favourite Stevie, but damn good
Really pretty good, although not my usual thing
Pretty good
I'm not the biggest Incubus fan, although I probably should be
Pretty generic, but not bad
Yea ok I suppose
I don't get all the fuss, in all honesty
I can't remember literally anything about this, an md I just listened
I can't stand the Pet Shop Boys
It was fine, no more
Short songs that were fine
For an 80s pop album, it wasn't terrible
I do like a bit of trip hop
Yea, I couldn't get through a 2 hour hoe down
It's a pretty cool mixed bag, long though
More Psychedelic than I was expecting
Pretty good rap album
Never heard of them, but pretty good
Nice catchy punk
Can't deny it's quality, even if I can't stand Axl Rose
Bit fed up of saying it, but this is fine
God that was dull
God, I found this dull
Some bangers no doubt. A little long, but good
Grungey goodness
Average

Some great hits off this one
Nice, real nice
Fine I guess
An absolute beaut
Very middle of the road
Dug out the vinyl for this. Pretty good
Pretty good
Great band, great album
Black Hole Sun is a classic. The rest is ok
I'll reiterate, 80s stuff generally isn't for me
Corker
I just always feel solo Beatles albums are lacking.
Fun enough
Not my bag
Pleasant I guess
I definitely prefer letter iteration of the band
It was fine
Not the best
Actually way better than I imagined, but probably the only Gorillaz album I could get into
A beautiful album
It's fine hip hop, but not my favourite
Ugh, U2. I tried, I did
Bit lame
Inspired most of the ska punk bands I love, classic
Inspirational to almost all the punk I listen to, but does little for me
Bangers
Yea, weird but not too bad
A little long, and a little dull, but not terrible
Not my usual thing, but surprisingly good
Can't really argue with The Chronic
Wow, this takes me back to '98. One of my Dad's favourite albums, rest his soul.
Not my favourite Sepultura but damn good
Nice listen
Yea, it's ok
Yea another pleasant listen
Bloody old timers
Surprisingly nice
Not my usual jam, but decent
Classic for a reason, although some of the lyrics give me the ick
Couldn't get through it, not for me
Really funky stuff
Not the best of the britpop
Perfect start to gangsta rap
A bona-fide classic
Another 80s album that does little for me
Nice enough
Really nice, with some welcome trip-hop vibes
Megadeth's #2 album and just quality from start to finish
Very atmospheric but not particularly interesting
Average britpop
Varied and funky, obvs
I'm sure it's great, but not my style of music

Entertaining enough
More fineness
Toy Story guy
Funky fresh
Yea not bad
This was great!
Classic
Not bad
Surprisingly like Meatloaf
It's alright
Nothing special
Not as good as I hoped it'd be
This is the sort of album I've been hoping to get for a while
So many hits on this album
Alright I guess
I don't think it's great musically, except for Dry Your Eyes, but it's a great statement and social commentary on he early 2000s. Very nostalgic
Yea it's fine
Great Queen effort
Just incredible
I'm really not a fan of the classic punk bands, but I do like the Ramones
Classic stuff
Not really a White Stripes fan but this album is amazing. So mamy great songs

I appreciate the influence but it’s far from my favourite metal album
Pretty nice
It’s fine
Yea it was alright
An album title that perfectly describes the album.
I liked it more than I thought I would

Not as good as The Beatles
No totally my jam
Can’t even remember most of this.
Fine for what it is, but not my jam
Just an incredible album
This is really damn cool, and exactly the sort of album I was hoping to get recommended. It’s like post-rock/jazz/trip-hop!
Not for me
Yea this is good. Nice punk rock vibe, would listen again
Not bad I suppose.
I didn’t find this to be a particularly special hip hop album.
A bit darker than I was imagining
Yea pretty good. I should probably spun again.
Can’t really understand the need for it
Can’t fault it. I don’t really like 80s pop, but MJ is one of the few exceptions.
Yea not bad
R.E.M. are a weird band. Objectively I understand why people like them, but at the same time find it wild that people could think this is the greatest music they’ve ever heard!
It baffles me that someone create such an erratic sounding album, that ultimately must have some sort of structure holding it together. I don’t know if any of these songs were ever played live, but I can only assume the live arrangements would only loosely follow the studio versions. For an album that sounds completely improv, surely it must be.
Lacking in some big hitters, but decent
Not my thing but I can appreciate it
Not as good as Bitches Brew mind
As with many others, not my thing but not bad
God, that final song is terrible
Not for me, too 80s
Just fine

It’s a bluesy beaut
Not as good as Songs for the Deaf, but pretty good

Yea it’s fine
SLLLLAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYERRRRRRRRRRRRR
Really nice
I enjoyed it a lot
Nice to hear something new
Fine enough
This is a blast from my past? It’s been 20 years since I last listened to this, and you know what? I love it!
Yea pretty good.
Don’t know why, but thought they were an indie band
Some pretty cool dark jazz or something
Just not a fan of U2
This feels like some early industrial
Not my jam
Nice listen
Yea it’s fine
What you’d expect from an album from this era.
As a huge metal head I’m not much of a Maiden fan
No bad by any stretch, but overrated I feel
Quite nice

A goodie
Yea not bad
Pretty dope
Not my jam at all
Yea it was kinda fun.
A fun morning listen
Couldn’t get the full album, but I got the gist.
Cowboy sounds
Think I see where Nobuo Uematsu’s other influences come from now.
What is there to say, it’s fucking Led Zeppelin IV!
Absolute banger
Yea it’s fine. Also, Father Ted theme!
I was hoping for something more psychedelic
Undeniably good, obviously
I’m just not a fan of the 80s
Not my era. My mother in law would love it however.
But full to be honest
Really quite pleasant
Fine for what it is, but I wouldn’t revisit
More fine-ness
Yea it was ok
A lot of fun
Definitely different, which I like. Early industrial I guess, but not wholly my thing.
Bit boring

It’s fine
It’s alright
Pretty good
That was surprisingly good
It was alright

A slog to be honest
Yea I can admit it's pretty damn good
This music does absolutely nothing for me.
Flawless masterpiece, my favourite Led Zeppelin
Yea, not bad
I'll begrudgingly admit, this wasn't terrible
Fun enough
Now this is more like it. Proto-Rammstein
Yea that was pretty dope. Some jazz influences in there as well
It's fucking Revolver!
Disco fun
Last two songs dragged, but not bad
Not my thing
It was ok
Nice to hear an album I have zero preconceptions about.
It was ok
Fun enough
An absolute classic
Fun times
Quite nice actually
Yea really nice actually
Yellow drove me mad when it first came out, but this is nice
Can't deny the singles are banging on thos record
Bit boring to be honest
Surprisingly fun
I'll be returning to this, really good.
