Can
4/5
Now this is the weird shit I've been waiting for. Never heard of Can before but I love this type of music. It feels very ahead of it's time. I span this a couple of times today and will do so again as it was a trip. Keep this stuff coming.

R.E.M.
2/5
R.E.M. are a weird band. Objectively I understand why people like them, but at the same time find it wild that people could think this is the greatest music they’ve ever heard!

Sepultura
5/5
I once heard this described as a 'riff Bible'. It is such an incredible album and it does surprise me that it is on this list, even if it is my favourite Sepultura album.

Bob Marley & The Wailers
3/5
It's fine, it's old school reggae, it's Bob. Easy listening for a Sunday morning, but doesn't get me going. Got Three Little Birds though, and that will always make me think of my Dad.
R.E.M.
2/5
I had a friend who, about 20 years ago, used to play REM's greatest hits all the time. I was not a huge fan of them back then; some of the hits aren't bad but this is my first album experience.
I'm not shocked that nothing here has changed my mind on the band. It's the guys voice I find a bit annoying I suppose, and the fact I just find this music really bland. More power to the people who like this but I like a bit more meat on my musical bones.
Ohh, Strange starts off a bit like a watered down Green Day song, that was the highlight of the album.
I can appreciate the hits from this album; they are solid enough. There are actually a few other flashes in here that go beyond mediocre.
Green Day
5/5
Where to start? I got into Green Day back in '02, when I was 19. I played the shit out of International Superhits! When American Idiot dropped I had just seen Green Day headline Leeds festival (my first festival and Green experience) so to say I was in the height of my fanboy phase is an understatement.
I remember watching the American Idiot music video weeks before and no joke, every single damn one of my friends owned this album. The end of 2004 and going into 2005 was a great time in my life and this album was the soundtrack. It was everywhere I went. House parties? Gaming with friends? While I was at work? This album was on constant rotation by me and everyone I hung out with. It was huge.
It was my favourite Green Day album for the longest time but I rarely listen to it now. I have listened to it so many times that I kinda ruined it for myself. It will always be a 5* album for me though.
The one song I can still happily revisit is Jesus of Suburbia. That song has everything. The other highlights for me are American Idiot, Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, St. Jimmy, Give Me Novacaine, Wake Me Up When September Ends and Homecoming. Pretty much the whole album.
Metallica
5/5
Metallica have been in my musical DNA from a very early age, thanks to my older brother. I fell in love with them hard, myself, when I was about 20. They were my gateway into metal and for the longest time they were my all time favourite band. They have since been surpassed by Coheed and Cambria, but Master of Puppets remains a top tier Metallica album for me, as well as being one of the greatest representations of metal at it's finest.
I love all the songs here, with the exception of Leper Messiah. That song leaves a bit to be desired but every other song is a banger. They've all been reviewed a million times but the longer songs Orion, and the title track are the best for my money. Not to say the others are slouches. Battery may be the single greatest metal opener, alongside Angel of Death and Clenching the Fists of Dissent.
My first live experience watching Metallica was Download Festival 2006. It was the 20 year anniversary of this album and they played it in it's entirety and I kid you not when I sat I had an out of body experience! I there my whole being, body and soul into that show and was lucky to make it out alive!
Perfection, or close enough.
Various Artists
3/5
It's a fun Christmas album, but still a Christmas album. I'm not someone who listens to certain music in certain seasons, other than at Christmas of course.
I knew the majority these songs, and they are Christmas classics. A really good Christmas album is still just a Christmas album. I would never have much use for it outside of the season. Due to this I can't really rate it highly, even though it does what it should really well.
Public Enemy
3/5
I don't listen to a great deal of old school hip hop, it's basically NWA I listen to. This is fine though, I've head some Public Enemy before, and definitely Bring Da Noise, due to being a metal head. You could argue that song was the precursor of Nu Metal. I might give this another spin in the future.
Neil Young
4/5
I can't say I've ever listened to a Neil Young album, so going in blind here. I'm not sure I even know any of the songs on this record.
It's always weird rating an album with so much history and personal connection, when you have none yourself. I love that this COULD have been hugely influential on my music taste, had I been exposed to it as a kid.
This starts of nicely enough and has a bluesy/country feel that I was not expecting. I can hear some Dylan influence in here as well.
I gave this a second spin immediately after first, so I guess it was pretty good.
Deep Purple
4/5
Another classic I never got round to checking out. Of course I already know the majority of the songs. I've always loved Highway Star, and it is still the highlight of the album as far as I'm concerned.
Just a really great rock album that is rightfully loved by many.
The 13th Floor Elevators
3/5
I recognise the album cover but never listened to this band before. Due to the name I was going into this hoping it would be way more Psychedelic! It was pretty good though and I'd give it another shot sometime.
The Fall
3/5
Not bad sound, I guess they were pioneers of this genre? Not what I was expecting but pretty good.
Rod Stewart
3/5
I always kinda liked Maggie May. I never would have listened to this normally and neither of my parents were particularly fans. I felt I'd like this more than any of his later albums. It's nicely bluesy and country in places. A nice listen for sure.
Eagles
3/5
A very pleasant listen. I obviously knew the hits but also liked things like the little orchestral interlude. Not a band I've ever has much inclination to delve further into, but this is nice.
Neneh Cherry
1/5
I went in open minded, but I felt this wouldn't be my thing. It's got that 80s vibe, and I am really not a fan of 80s pop. I'll continue to spin these sort of albums to see if I can be surprised but this one didn't do it for me at all.
Jefferson Airplane
3/5
Yea this was nice. You can't really go wrong with all these classic 60s albums. I already knew a few songs and I'll likely revisit.
Emmylou Harris
2/5
Nice enough listen. Not much grabbed me but pleasant enough.
Elvis Presley
3/5
My first Elvis album experience. Not bad by any stretch, and I can see why people are such huge fans. I would've liked to listen to this with my Dad ❤
The Smiths
2/5
This wasn't a bad listen musically, but I am REALLY not a fan of Morrisey's vocal delivery, I find it kind of grating. It certainly effects my enjoyment of this album and brings the score down. I know I won't be revisiting this but I'm OK with that.
Radiohead
4/5
It took me a long time to really get around to giving Radiohead a good go. I started to delve into them just over a year ago. I've listened to all their albums, and although I have no clear favourites this is up there. I know this album will continue to grow over time, but at the moment it is a solid 4.
Can
4/5
Now this is the weird shit I've been waiting for. Never heard of Can before but I love this type of music. It feels very ahead of it's time. I span this a couple of times today and will do so again as it was a trip. Keep this stuff coming.
Bad Company
3/5
Pretty middle of the road rock, or at least that's how it feels to me. It's alright.
Deep Purple
3/5
A pretty solid album. The songs aren't quite as memorable as those on Machine Head, but still really good.
Sisters Of Mercy
2/5
This album exactly how I expected an 80s goth pop album to sound. I'm not a fan of 80s pop for the most part and this has too much of that era in its sound. I'd be interested to hear any of their later albums, and may give the band another try at some point.
Afrika Bambaataa
3/5
I've never heard of these guys before and had high hopes, based on the album cover alone. This was fine, but very of its time. Unfortunately the 80s aren't a time that I particularly love so it wasn't as enjoyable for me as I'd hoped.
The Louvin Brothers
2/5
There's a reason I don't listen to anything pre 60s. I'm sure this is great, it's just not pushing my buttons.
Jane's Addiction
4/5
I've never had a problem with Jane's Addiction, however nothing I've heard has ever made me want to listen any further. This was a really nice surprise. I liked this way more than I thought I would. I will 100% be spinning this again, great stuff.
Rod Stewart
2/5
Jean-Michel Jarre
3/5
Nice, this is like the French answer to Mike Oldfield.
Talking Heads
2/5
This album did very little for me. I can't even really remember much about it and I've only just finished it!
5/5
One of my fave Beatles albums. Its punching for their best, for me, but just falls slightly short. Still undeniably great though.
XTC
2/5
Despite it not being my thing, it had moments that I didn't mind.
John Grant
3/5
Loving the lyrics on this. I'll probably give it another go sometime. Nothing game changing but lyrically interesting if nothing else.
Nas
3/5
I don't listen to as much hip hop as I used to, but this is pretty good.
3/5
My first Kinks album. It was fine but I was a bit underwhelmed, it didn't feel to have any classic songs on there.
Bruce Springsteen
3/5
Yea this wasn't bad I suppose. I've not listened to a full Springsteen album before. It kinda sounded how I expected it.
Fleet Foxes
4/5
Nice to have a more current release chucked in the mix. Not sure how I've never heard these guys, although I am aware who they are. I'll probably give this another spin, thus is really nice and the production is really good.
Fiona Apple
2/5
I wanted to like this, really I did. I can kind of appreciate it but it just isn't for me unfortunately.
Brian Eno
2/5
I'll be honest, I got quite bored of this and couldn't finish it.
Dire Straits
3/5
This album frustrated me a bit. I really liked parts of it, but it's all the 80s production that puts me off. I think if this album had been recorded and released 10 years earlier, I would've liked it more.
George Michael
3/5
My brother is a big George Michael fan, and I don't mind the odd song. Of course I know Faith and there were a few other nice surprises in there. Considering I don't like 80s pop, pretty much in all cases, this was nice. It was bordering on a 4 if I'm honest.
Mekons
3/5
This is why I am here, to discover bands and albums that I have no clue about. I went into this hoping for good things. It was fine though, nothing special on first listen.
Le Tigre
3/5
Nice female fronted punk. Reminds me of a slightly more modern Souxsie and the Banshees
Eminem
5/5
This, and Americana by The Offspring, were the first two albums I owned. I was 16 when this album came out and my brother burnt me a cassette tape of it. I have vivid memories riding the bus to college listening to this album on repeat. It was huge to me and totally suckered me in. I loved the follow up album but by like 2003 I was starting to move towards metal and punk rock. I still listen to this album from time to , and rate it highly.
Korn
4/5
Korn have always been one of those bands where I like a handful of songs, but never really fell for any of their albums. Of course this has Freak On a Leash, amongst a few other hits.
Frank Zappa
4/5
This is one that I have on vinyl, an original press that belonged to my dad ❤
I obviously had to bust it out for this. I don't have a great deal of experience with Zappa, outside of this album, but I do really dig this. It's a great listen top to bottom and that fuses jazz with prog rock at the time. Great stuff
Brian Eno
3/5
A nice pleasant enough listen. I might revisit one day as this was alright.
The Cure
3/5
I don't have too much of a problem with Robert Smith's voice, although I thought I might. This is quite a nice listen but didn't particularly enthrall me.
Deerhunter
2/5
I found this really bland. I may be holding a prejudice against this band as The Dear Hunter are one of my favourite bands, but people always think I'm talking about this band when I mention them.
Stereolab
2/5
Yea, not really my thing.
The Temptations
3/5
Lovely listen, it really is. I can repeat an album that has an 11+ minute funk epic!
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
4/5
I'd heard lots of praise for this in recent years and it was pretty good. Will definitely be spinning again. Very synth heavy in places and it's almost like a post-rock album at times
Emmylou Harris
3/5
A nice country/folk album. Quite a pleasant listen
Neu!
3/5
Mainly instrumental and not half bad.
Sister Sledge
3/5
Banger after banger on this one. Not the sort of music I'd usually choose to listen to, but this is good.
Tim Buckley
3/5
Another nice album from the era
The Cardigans
2/5
This album is fine. Quite why it is in the list of 1001 greatest albums, I don't know.
Gang Starr
2/5
I dunno, it seems like fairly uninspiring hip hop to me. If anything he sounds as bored as I felt.
Jeru The Damaja
2/5
A second hip hop album that pretty much underwhelmed me. It was the first genre I fell for but I guess I'm happy just listening to the hip hop I know, and not too hot on looking for something new.
The Doors
3/5
Never been a huge fan of The Doors, this album is as good as any of the others I heard. A few nice songs and I can see why others like them.
The Byrds
3/5
I liked this. You could hear the influences this band had on many bands that came after them.
David Bowie
3/5
Another day, another Bowie album. Like most I can take it or leave it. It's a nice album to listen to but nothing that really makes me want to come back to it.
Traffic
3/5
My Dad was a fan of all things prog, and Traffic were one of his favourites. I have a copy of this on vinyl that belonged to my Dad. I can't say I love it as much as my Dad did, but this is pretty good.
Blur
4/5
Great album. I vividly remember my sister got a CD player and this album, back in 94, for her 15th birthday. She played this album a lot and I always kinda liked it. Haven't played it in years but it's still great.
Run-D.M.C.
4/5
Full of bangers. This album has got to be one of the most accessible hip hop albums of all time. Great stuff.
Air
3/5
A nice relaxing jaunt.
Sonic Youth
3/5
Pretty sweet. I don't think I've ever actually listened to Sonic Youth before but I'd check this our again.
The Byrds
2/5
I gave this a go but country is really not my thing.
Manic Street Preachers
3/5
Honestly not bad
The Undertones
4/5
Of course I know the hits but first time listening to an album. I love punk but generally not the classic stuff. This is better than average though and reminds me of The Dead Kennedys.
Marvin Gaye
3/5
Nice enough for my first Gaye album. The sort of thing my wife and I could probably listen to together.
Primal Scream
2/5
I get why people like this but I don't really think it's my thing. It's fine though.
Frank Sinatra
2/5
My Dad would have got a kick out of me listening to this for sure. I can respect it but it just doesn't do anything for me.
Napalm Death
4/5
A landmark album. I am a huge metal head but I can't listen to a great deal of grindcore. I prefer the longer songs, so especially the first half.
Missy Elliott
3/5
This takes me back 20 years! My brother was really into his early 00's RnB/Hip Hop. Nice listening, for nostalgia's sake, but wouldn't revisit.
Nirvana
4/5
I'm not as in love with Nirvana as the majority of people seem to be. This is clearly a landmark album though and I can't really fault it.
Kacey Musgraves
2/5
It's country, and as much as it's pleasant, country doesn't do anything for me.
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
3/5
Nice enough, I remember Maps being on Guitar Hero, or Rock Band or something. Nice listen.
Buddy Holly & The Crickets
2/5
These old school albums are very much of their time. Unfortunately The Beatles have always been as far back as I can go.
Roxy Music
2/5
I was already pretty sure Roxy Music wasn't for me. This only proved me right, couldn't finish it.
The Cure
3/5
Another classic band/album that I have already experienced enough to know they're not really my thing. I wasn't proven wrong.
The Teardrop Explodes
2/5
Another 80s pop album, which is definitely not my genre.
Otis Redding
3/5
Yea it's fine, easy listening.
Tracy Chapman
3/5
I get why she is loved, but not for me.
R.E.M.
3/5
Better than that other REM album on this list.
Adele
3/5
Good songs but not my bag.
The Damned
3/5
I'm not generally a fan of the classic punk era but I do like The Damned!
The B-52's
1/5
It's a no from me.
Stevie Wonder
4/5
One of my all time favourite albums and possibly my favourite by Stevie.
Electric Light Orchestra
3/5
It's quite bloated but it's not terrible.
Rush
4/5
It's a classic for a reason. I'm a big fan of Dream Theater, who were in many ways just a heavier Rush. Outside of a few sings though I've never got into Rush.
SZA
1/5
Couldn't even finish it.
2/5
Another day, another album that is just fine.
The Youngbloods
2/5
It was fine but really don't see how it made it into this list.
Belle & Sebastian
2/5
Pleasant but a bit boring if I'm honest.
Kate Bush
2/5
I can kind of appreciate Kate Bush, but it's not my thing.
Prince
2/5
I just don't get Prince, there I said it.
The Temptations
3/5
Nice
Primal Scream
3/5
Kinda cool I suppose.
Muddy Waters
3/5
It's fine as far as old school blues goes.
Keith Jarrett
2/5
It's nice background music but the album was too long for me.
Mudhoney
3/5
A bit of a blander listen than I was hoping for, but not bad at all.
The Beach Boys
4/5
60s music for me is usually completely overshadowed by The Beatles. This is great. Obviously the singles are the best, but it's all good
Muddy Waters
3/5
More blues, it's fine
Lorde
3/5
As far as modern music goes, on the pop side of things, I like it
The Smiths
2/5
I just can't get on with Morrisey's vocals, I find them really grating!
Willie Nelson
2/5
Another Country album! Still not my thing.
Iron Butterfly
3/5
Really cool psych rock
Fiona Apple
2/5
Easy listening but not my jam
2Pac
3/5
Pretty good hip hop
The Go-Go's
2/5
I don't like 80s pop
Pearl Jam
4/5
Now this a band I've always kinda liked but never deep dived into them. Pretty good.
Talking Heads
3/5
It's fine but I don't really get the appeal.
Rush
4/5
I'm not a huge Rush fan but this may be my favourite of theirs
George Jones
2/5
Just a but boring
Goldie
2/5
A gave this a go. Really not my jam but actually more likeable than I imagined
John Cale
2/5
Yea it was ok
Madonna
1/5
I can deal with some eras of Madonna. This is not one of them.
Turbonegro
4/5
Rocking! Loved them for years and good to see them on here.
Robert Wyatt
3/5
I liked it a lot and will definitely revisit. Reminded me of Mike Oldfield.
Suede
3/5
This is a nostalgia hit, my sister used to love this band.
Kid Rock
2/5
I used to like a few Kid Rock songs as a kid, I couldn't finish this though.
Tina Turner
2/5
I gave it a go.
Steely Dan
3/5
Yea this was pretty nice actually
Iron Maiden
4/5
As a huge metal head, I've never really actually got on with Iron Maiden. This ones ok
The Young Gods
3/5
I had no idea this was an industrial band/album. It reminded me of Ministry, which I was fine with. Nice surprise here.
Baaba Maal
3/5
This is the sort of thing I like to get thrown my way. Totally out of my wheel house, and I've never heard of him before.
The Cars
3/5
A nice listen
John Prine
2/5
Country just ain't for me
Shuggie Otis
3/5
Nice enough jaunt
Lightning Bolt
3/5
Nice to have something that's kind of in my wheelhouse, that I'd not heard of. This was OK but nothing amazing
The Verve
4/5
I love the 90s. Yea, another album full of hits from my childhood
Marty Robbins
2/5
This is OK for what it is but it's too dated for me really. I know I'd never choose to listen to it.
Kraftwerk
3/5
Not quite what I was expecting from my first Kraftwerk experience. This is way more atmospheric than I imagined it'd be. Nice
Pavement
3/5
I've been aware of this band for ages but never heard a lick. This wasn't bad but I was a bit underwhelmed. I may revisit though
Elvis Costello
3/5
Easy listening but nothing much to it.
3/5
Not bad at all, quite relaxing and nice to find an artist I'd never heard of.
R.E.M.
2/5
I'm just not a fan of REM. I can't actually believe this is the third album of theirs on here!
Travis
3/5
Not bad as far as this type of music goes
Radiohead
3/5
I'm no expert on Radiohead, but of all the albums of theirs I've heard this is not one of the best. Not bad though.
The Beach Boys
3/5
Nice little album of it's era, not that I know many of the tunes off this one.
Tito Puente
3/5
This is Latin American jazz. I don't know or listen to enough Latin America jazz to distinguish if this is great or not. It's fine but I wouldn't choose to listen to this.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
4/5
One of my first rock records. Amazing album
Talking Heads
3/5
I liked this enough to definitely revisit.
PJ Harvey
3/5
Nice, better than the other PJ Harvey album I've listened to I think.
Leonard Cohen
3/5
Dark and brooding, nice
Shivkumar Sharma
4/5
More of the sort of alternative music that I was hoping to hear more of. This is lovely relaxing music and the sort of thing my wife likes. As expected, when listening to this she asked me who it was.
Syd Barrett
3/5
I'm not really a huge fan of Pink Floyd but I know about Syd and his history. I was interested to hear this and I'm sure I could love it more on further listens but I'm not sure I'll revisit often.
Ray Charles
3/5
I can't say I ever choose to listen to this style of music but it's nice enough. I don't really have a point of reference as to whether this I'd exceptional or not.
Kelela
2/5
Objectively this isn't bad at all, but it's just really not my jam.
Supertramp
3/5
Pretty damn good
Neil Young & Crazy Horse
3/5
Not bad
Peter Tosh
3/5
Some nice smooth reggae. It helped that I was listening on a Sunday afternoon
Arcade Fire
3/5
Yea it's OK, I liked that other album of theirs more
My Bloody Valentine
3/5
My first listen to a My Bloody Valentine, which is a surprise. Not sure what I was expecting, other than to maybe like this more than I did. It was solid though.
Billy Joel

Jerry Lee Lewis
3/5
So I guess I know most of these songs 😅
The Isley Brothers
3/5
Funky fresh,it was alright
Thundercat
3/5
I remember checking this out a few years ago. I liked it, even though I'm not super into this style of music
Koffi Olomide
2/5
Not the sort of music I'd ever find myself going back to. It was fine though
Bill Evans Trio
2/5
This sort of thing will only ever be background music, and the sort that I would personally never play.
ABBA
3/5
I've been looking forward to getting some ABBA. I think I only knew one song from this album. It was OK but think I'll dig some of their classics even more.
Carole King
3/5
Chock full of hits. The is the kind of Carpenters type music I can dig
Penguin Cafe Orchestra
3/5
Nice chill stuff, would listen again
Neil Young
3/5
I think I've got this on vinyl somewhere, it's fine, nothing special though.
The Stooges
3/5
The Stooges are ok and this is an alright listen. As a huge punk fan this doesn't do much for me.
Rahul Dev Burman
3/5
As far as soundtracks to movies I've never seen go, this isn't too bad.
The Flaming Lips
3/5
I didn't realise the Mastodon cover of A Spoonful Weighs a Ton was a Flaming Lips song. This was surprisingly better than expected.
3/5
Not as good as their later albums but clearly a sign of things to come.
Leonard Cohen
3/5
As with many albums I seem to be rating, it was OK, nothing more
808 State
1/5
I just don't get how people can listen to this at all, let alone rate it one of the greatest albums of all time! This is coming from someone who listens to some unlistenable music
Metallica
5/5
What an album! Yes there's the issue with the inaudible bass but it's Metallica at their most technical, on the cusp of world domination, when they were still pissed off. They were grieving for Cliff and they put this monster out. What I would give to be able to go back and see them on this tour.
Faith No More
4/5
What a great album. It's one that I've only fairly recently started listening to, which is weird.
KISS
3/5
As this someone who can't stand Gene Simmons, I have never listened to a KISS album. I went in with an open mind and this wasn't terrible. They're actually pretty cheesy and remind me of Meatloaf
Cypress Hill
3/5
I've been a casual Cypress Hill fan for years, but never heard this album before. A sign of things to come I guess, but not their best.
David Bowie
3/5
I've listened to enough David Bowie to know he'll never be my favourite artist, but I respect him. Hunky Dory is my favourite.
Bob Dylan
4/5
Really great actually, I'll be sticking this on again
Pretenders
3/5
This was more punk rock than 80s pop than I was expecting. Not all that bad
The Police
3/5
I'll admit, I went into this sure that I'd dislike it. I didn't love it, far from it, but it was more complex and varied than I'd thought a Police album could be.
Steely Dan
3/5
Bit fed of saying albums are just 'fine', but here's another one 😅
The Young Rascals
2/5
Another 60s rock album that I probably didn't need. It was fine.
Black Sabbath
4/5
A great start to the band and heavy metal as a genre. Some real classics in here.
Ella Fitzgerald
3/5
Classically beautiful but not the sort of thing I'd listen to regularly.
The Replacements
3/5
I prefer my punk to be American skate punk/melodic hardcore from the 90s, but this is ok
The Prodigy
3/5
Not heard this album before, although I of course know some of the songs. A sign of greater things to come.
ABBA
3/5
Actually quite a pleasant listen. I obviously knew the singles but there other nice songs as well.
Femi Kuti
3/5
Nice. Another I'd likely never have heard without this site. Not a genre I'd obsess over but this was something different
OutKast
2/5
As much as Outkast are a nostalgia hit for me, this album is too long
Robbie Williams
3/5
I remember getting this the Christmas of '97. I wasn't interested in the slightest. Angels was alright but this was Robbie from Take That, and that was what my sister listened to! Outside of the singles this feels like Robbie trying to establish himself in the Britpop scene, as here are some serious Oasis/Blur similarities here. He was a little too late to the show but this isn't bad.
Aretha Franklin
3/5
Quite nice for what it is
Wilco
2/5
Dreary indie album is dreary
Hanoi Rocks
3/5
Pretty unoffenssive rock. It's fine but not particularly great.
UB40
3/5
It's reggae, I like reggae
1/5
I am just not a fan of 80s pop.
Charles Mingus
3/5
As far as jazz goes, this is pretty good background music
Wu-Tang Clan
3/5
One of the better hip hop albums and one I definitely should've been into back when I first got into hip hop.
Elastica
3/5
Another classic my sister used to play a lot
The Offspring
4/5
Not my fave Offspring album but an absolute banger
Todd Rundgren

3/5
Surprisingly good. I went in with low expectations but this was pretty cool.
Nina Simone
2/5
Not my jam but pleasant enough.
Beck
4/5
I went into this expecting some sort of 90s Britpop album but this was way better than I could've imagined, great stuff
D'Angelo
2/5
For some reason I thought I was going to like thos more than I did. It was ok

Steve Winwood

Not for me
4/5
A stone cold classic that is just full of hits!
Björk
3/5
Not my favourite björk album, I think she clearly got better as she went on, but a pretty solid debut
Gil Scott-Heron
3/5
A nice listen
Sepultura
5/5
I once heard this described as a 'riff Bible'. It is such an incredible album and it does surprise me that it is on this list, even if it is my favourite Sepultura album.
The Byrds
3/5
It's fine, another 60s album that doesn't sound as good as The Beatles
Love
3/5
Bit more Psychedelic than some of the other generic 60s stuff. Nice.
Ananda Shankar
3/5
Yea a really interesting listen
Leonard Cohen
3/5
Fine, if a little on the boring side
Michael Jackson
4/5
It's pretty much flawless right? How many bangers can you fit on one album?
Drive Like Jehu
4/5
Another example of something that I'd never heard of, that us up my street. I dig things that are post-hardcore and this is nice.
Prince
2/5
I don't get Prince, probably never will
Fats Domino
2/5
Very of it's time, but not something I can listen to.
The Sonics
3/5
Lots of songs I knew here that I didn't know who the actual artist was. Not bad.
The The
2/5
More 80s pop, oh dear. This is slightly better than some of the other albums that have come through, but not by much.
Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
3/5
Pretty solid funk, soul album, not what I was expecting, in a good way.

The Boo Radleys
3/5
Not bad I suppose
Simply Red
2/5

Couldn't make it through it, really not for me.

It's far from their best and I'm surprised it made it onto the list to be honest

3/5
A whole album of Toy Story songs 😅

Richard Hawley
3/5
Sounds like it could've been released in the 50s
Bauhaus
3/5
Yea it's not bad I suppose
The Smiths
2/5
How apt. I'm not too much of a fan of The Smiths, mainly because of the vocals. Unsurprisingly this didn't do much to change my opinion.
The Jesus And Mary Chain
3/5
Another day, another average album
Grateful Dead
