1001 Albums Summary

Bob Dylan probably just isnt my thing. I might enjoy it more if I try focusing on/reading the lyrics as I listen.

Good example of the type of music. Probably wouldnt listen again, but it might be worth finding a few favorite songs on the record

Didnt hate it, like I have some Bob Dylan. His voice is kind of grating and the harmonica can be annoying, but I understand the lyrics are cool stories and stuff. Some great cool guitar stuff though.

Pretty good overall. Last song had some questionable lyrics which makes me wonder if the rest did too and I wasnt paying attention

Cool to hear some traditional South African music. The last song is an interesting story of the colonization of South Africa, so far as I could tell on the first listen.

Good stuff. Not just the new-wave synthpop I expected, but a bit more like post-punk.

Surprisingly, I did not hate this. A lot of it sounded like the kind of stuff bluegrass bands play at Music on Main.

Very very folk-music stuff. That isnt very descriptive. It was fine, but I think it is really some story-telling music that may not be my thing. Worth listening to again.

Some fun songs, but mostly pretty annoying and cheesy. Smooth Criminal is good. Speed Demon and Man in the Mirror were better than expected.

Super fun and catchy. Realizing more and more why some rando on RYM described LCD Soundsystem as a carbon copy of Talking Heads (in a good way), even though he was totally wrong.
