Strangeways, Here We Come
The SmithsA fantastic album, from the vocals to the layered instrumentation everything fits together so well. Truly ahead of its time and certainly laid the groundwork for countless musicians to follow.

A marvelously put together concept that flows together so well. One of the most creative albums I've heard
The Roof Shook Ones Part II sample 🔥, otherwise a very well produced album and Mariah Carey obviously has an incredible voice. Just not the type of music for me
One of the greatest, RIP Phife Dawg
Way ahead of its time. Some great disco stuff in the second half and just a nice boppin album
Very good flow/lyrical content coupled with some timeless beats
Very chill easy listening, can definitely see why it is regarded as so influential
bretty good

Some solid Americana, only really liked the title track though
Solid and classic album through and through. Dre makes some timeless beats and while the subject matter in some songs are fairly surface level it's still an enjoyable listen

sex music sex music very funky tho
classic bowie, great title and fun little concept album
some real bops throughout and just an enjoyable listen all around
Some nice tunes/sounds but not really what I'm into
Way ahead of its time. Some great disco stuff in the second half and just a nice boppin album
Very sonically interesting, like the backstory behind the music and think it's a cool fusion of industrial sound with some more traditional aspects of music.
Some really jamming stuff, great blend of bluegrass and rock and a real lively performance

An all around solid album from a band I had no idea existed, just knew the main title track. Some great production and Bowie's work on the title track was phenomenal. Certainly a band that has been relatively lost in rock history
Some great atmospheric, grimy sounds throughout but besides Tainted Love, not a lot of stand out tracks
A bit of a departure from their previous albums, not as cohesive as I would like but some solid gems throughout
Wasn't able to listen to the whole album since it wasn't available. Nonetheless, a fun little early R&B album but nothing that really stood out to me
Some cool psychedelic stuff in the beginning but mostly forgettable in the second half
Great range of sounds in here, can see why Eno was such an influential figure
A few standout songs here and there like Waterloo Sunset, fun listen but nothing that really gripped me
Great big band sounds, some funny lyrics and well done mixture of english and italian influence
Real dancey upbeat bops, while the middle blends together a bit the high points outweigh the lows
One of the greatest, RIP Phife Dawg
Interesting narrative weaved throughout, recognized the pinball song but otherwise unfamiliar with The Who. Felt like relatively standard rock stuff, some cool sounds sprinkled throughout though.
A solid variety of different genres mashed together to make a distinguished soundtrack. Not sure if there is much replayability for me personally though
Liked the harder elements of the album, the soft whisper bits would go on a bit too long.
A classic obviously, great consistent sound and just a neato album to throw on
Listened to the wrong album first, nothing that really stood out to me. Good vocals I guess and a song here or there that was kind of cool to listen to but not something I'd come back to.
A few bops here and there but nothing I would go back to
Great punk elements throughout, a little too free form for my tastes but can definitely appreciate the sound they were going for
Actually much preferred this to his work with the Byrds, sound felt more fleshed out and realized. Very enjoyable.
Pretty generic and not really engaging, can understand the appeal and they certainly leaned into the whole notion of the band as a pure product but I'm not a fan.
A lot of good usage of distortion effects throughout and certainly a very distinctive voice that lends itself well to the music. Not quite what I was expecting going in but all around ok.
Solid rock stuff, walk on the wild side is a classic for sure
Really like the experimentation with sounds in this album, didn't know this is what ska music was like
Very haunting voice and eclectic sounds but a little too far out there for my enjoyment
Enjoyable, will have to check out other Tom Petty stuff
Good backgroundy stuff, but not my thing
Good stuff but nothing that really struck me besides the hits.
One standout track, otherwise not my thing
I've learned I do not care that much for DnB/Jungle
Couple songs I liked, was more interested in the story behind the band but some definitely solid rock stuff throughout paired with lyrical content that was fairly unique for the time.
Nice production and vocals but most of it seemed to blend together for me.
Too "Hey There Delilah" for me
Cool prog stuff
A little too samey for me, singers voice is good but it all started to blend a little too much
Great singer, too folky for me
Some all around good heavy sounds, nothing to really draw me back though
A lot of good variety in sounds and some killer guitar work/vocals
Not as good as their other work, some good guitar work and Morrissey's vocals are great as usual but nothing really memorable besides the last song
These guys can shred 🤘
Decent rock stuff, lots of songs about women, it's ok
Rolling stones ya know, classic songs on here of course but not my style generally
Good singing voice and some nice ballads
Interesting mix of country and rock elements, easy listening
Some upbeat bops, fairly jazzy stuff but no staying power for me
iunno tbh
Cool and fun electronic dance music, very minimalistic
Simply wonderful
Classic rap shit, great production and flows
Entertaining southern rock with some conscious lyrical content
Liked the second half more than the first, good vocals and some interesting production throughout
Nice indie rock stuff, cool collab with thom yorke thrown in as well
Sad radiohead noises, like Nude but overall not my favorite project of theirs
Nah
