Popular Reviews

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5

I don't like rap usually, I really enjoyed this.

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake

It's crazy how sometimes these album a day is just exactly what you need on a day. Nick Drake--particularly Saturday Sun, just hit the SPOT. It's raining and this is just hitting all the right notes.

Garbage by Garbage

LOVED oldschool garbage. My brother used to listen to them and the cranberries and so I was very much so indoctrinated at an early age.

Veckatimest by Grizzly Bear

Huge fan! Nothing more to say, was a great album to listen to. Bopped along happily all morning.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell

she's just a queen.

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Nov 10 2021

Take Five was definitely great (the seemingly most popular) Katherine told me it's in 9/8, which, means nothing to me other than it must be complex. However, I think my favourite song by far was Pick Up Sticks. I found myself stopping what I was doing to just listen which is my favourite moment when listening to music. When it transcends other activities.

The Cars by The Cars
Nov 11 2021

Nothing really jumped out at me. Maybe I was too afk doing work, but it really just sort of... melded into the background. Nothing like a Dave Brubeck that really captures your attention.

Deep Purple In Rock by Deep Purple
Nov 12 2021

the 1995 child in time remaster for 10mins and 15 seconds was just this yesteryear solos, neil young 'get lost in the music' style which I really enjoyed. I also really enjoyed a 20 song album. None of this 11 or 12 nonsense to optimise for spotify algorithms.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Nov 15 2021

look, I listened to this 3 times and I want the vinyl of it. There's just too many bangers. Surprised by the Chain this time, really rocked out.

Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominos
Nov 16 2021

Look. Layla. Just, perfection. Didn't have a ton of time for the rest of the album though, so it won't make my top lists.

Nov 17 2021

I went back just then to listen to take me to the river because I wanted to make sure of my opinion. Bear with. Okay, I relistened to their most played. Not my cup of tea. I recognise its historical significance. Just not something that's actually pleasing to listen to.

Veckatimest by Grizzly Bear
Nov 18 2021

Huge fan! Nothing more to say, was a great album to listen to. Bopped along happily all morning.

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary And Thyme by Simon & Garfunkel
Nov 22 2021

Ah, just... pure serenity. I'll get this in a record one day. The whole album was really cute. Listening to the 7 o clock news / silent night was also really touching. My dad dodged the vietnam draft (because he didn't want to cut his hair) and part of me is so grateful as I don't think he would've been the same human today, in fact, I know he wouldn't have been the same human today.

She's So Unusual by Cyndi Lauper
Nov 23 2021

It's good fun. Katherine had a field day.

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Nov 26 2021

And then it transitions to this gorgeous minimalist guitar descant over the top of simple piano. It really like, crescendo's and then realises you might need a small break and slowly builds back up.

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Nov 29 2021

WHAT. A. BANGER.

Elastica by Elastica
Nov 30 2021

Definitely felt like a standout few songs. Not my fave--made me want to listen to Garbage though.

Franz Ferdinand by Franz Ferdinand
Dec 02 2021

definitely one of my favourite bands of all time. Really enjoyed Darts of Pleasure more than I ever have before. Huge fan.

Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren
Jan 05 2022

not my cup of tea

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
Jan 06 2022

Brothers by The Black Keys
Jan 11 2022
Immigrés by Youssou N'Dour
Jan 13 2022

Look I can appreciate it—it was interesting—but I’d say not my cup of tea.

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
Jan 17 2022

I don't like rap usually, I really enjoyed this.

The Message by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
Jan 26 2022
Garbage by Garbage

The Specials by The Specials
Feb 09 2023

I strangely liked it, almost like punk vibes. There were a few songs that I'd heard just around the traps. I think too hot is used as part of memes?

Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park
Feb 10 2023

idk why this was on there, some of the least memorable linkin park songs except for in the end.
