Two songs I liked, but overall too many random noises. Can appreciate the classic rock vibe.
No stand out favorites, but this album surprised me. Has a fun rock feel. I like the longer guitar solos. Would listen to again. Nice energizing the background music for work!
Good vibes overall. Very groovy. Not for me. You can tell she is very talented though.
Other than the title track which gave me true flashback nostalgia to my guitar hero days, the rest of the album is kinda whack. Fun listen, but wouldn’t listen to again by choice.
Favorite song: Schools Out

Listened to this album on a walk outside on a beautiful day. Perfect “Glad to be alive music”! Enjoyed more than I thought I would considering it’s kinda folksy. This would also be great driving through Texas with the windows down music. He tells a great story. Would give 4.5 if I could.
Favorite song: Love Minus Zero
2/1/22
Not really my style of music, but enjoyed it for what it was.
Favorite Song: Cloud Nine
2/2/22
Very romantic vibes for an album with a darker sad message. Was a beautiful album and perfect to nap to lol!
Favorite song: no clear favorite. Liked it all as a whole. Each song flowed together.
2/3/22
Quirky. Fun. Background music.
2/6/22
Not for me. I don’t like his voice. The guitar solos in some songs sounds like nails on a chalkboard. Only a few songs I didn’t totally hate or skip through.
Favorite song: Passover
2/7/22
I liked most songs. I think this is an album that would really grow on me if I kept listening to it! I appreciate the indie vibes. The album gets better with each song. The few I didn’t really care for was mainly because their rhyme structure
Favorite song: Sprawl 2
2/8/22
Really appreciate the entire album as an artistic statement all together. I like how everything flows into one another. Album combines strong themes with cool beats and a fun energy that’s enjoyable to listen to. Very strong 90s hip hop influence which makes sense since it came out in 2002. Overall really enjoyed.
Favorites: High Fidelity, This is/Freedom, DDT
2/9/22
This album has a time and place and that’s on the beach. Hard to think I’ll listen to the whole album again unless I am on a beach, but I enjoyed it for the style it is. Definitely good vibes. The album gets better the second time you hear it!
Favorite song: Stir it up and High Tide or Low Tide and No More Trouble
2/10/21
Very politically charged. Less cohesive as an entire album. I appreciate it but don’t love the hip hop genre as a whole. The N word song really threw me for a loop at first!
Favorite: Shut Em Down

Favorite: Shut Em Down
2/14/21
Good vibes. Enjoyed it. Liked it more until I found out about multiple songs being covers, that kinda upsets me. For that reason I’m out (of giving a 4)
Favorite: Listen to the Music
2/15/21
Good background music. Would be great in an 90s sitcom soundtrack. I feel like I want to rebel against my parents when I listen for this. Overall all songs were very similar to me, did enjoy the guitar.
Favorite: No clear favorite
2/17/22
“What do you think it would sound like if aliens invaded the Catholic Church?”
This is how I picture the idea for this album came about. Not my vibe at all, could not take it seriously, but they get partial credit for playing the whole thing live and making it a continuous piece.
Favorite song: Nut Rocker
2/20/22
I don’t like his talk singy vibe. His songs are just kinda slow and depressing. Not for me, but not total hate.
2/21/22
It annoyed me. Had to skip through songs because the background noises were too annoying. Wasn’t the worst thing ever though, just wouldn’t listen to again.
Favorite Song: Ether
2/23/22
Wish I had this album on a Friday! Such a fun and upbeat listen with two songs I already knew which is always fun! A little too 80s for my daily music taste, but definitely enjoyed it
Favorite Song: We Got the Beat
2/24/22
Good background music and really nothing more. Can’t get into the jazz vibe but I appreciate each song for being a unique piece. Could definitely track a “story” throughout the album.
I refuse to listen to any more Leonard Cohen. I hate his music.
2/27/22
I think this album would be great study music. For me, it feels like background kinda music, but I’m going to give it a four because I would intentionally play it again. I also really liked the use of the trumpets.
Lead singer has a very groovy voice.
Favorite song: Family Affair
2/28/22
This album didn’t speak to me like some of the others have. Didn’t dislike it but thought it was a bit too shrill and chaotic for me. I hate that the lead single from this album is a cover. For some reason that really annoys me lol.
Favorite song: Jamie’s Crying
3/2/22
I’m torn because I like the composition and the sound of the album as a whole, but I hate their lyrics. I think the songs are stupid and a bit too repetitive. Feels like the B-52s but more chaotic. Overall not bad, but won’t listen to this again. Based off the lyrics I’m leaving towards a 2, but it would probably be 2.5 if I could.
Favorite song: When our love passed out…
3/3/22
Once again I am impressed with Pink Floyd for this composition. The album as a whole is beautiful and expressive. The guitar is amazing as usual. Each song flows and even without a ton of lyrics, a story is told. I really enjoyed the album, but I was slightly less captivated by this than I was The Wall. Would give a 4.5 if I could!
Favorite song: Shine on you crazy diamond part 1
3/4/22
I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. I really appreciated his lyrics and how emotional the album was. Also got wrapped up in the story of his life. That being said, I don’t see myself ever listening to this again. For that reason I rate a 3.
Favorite song: So Many Tears/Temptations
3/7/22
Fun album. Didn’t love it but it wasn’t bad. Mrs. Jackson is by far the best song, but I had heard two others before. The interludes included in this album are cool, never seen that in an album before. Makes me feel like I’m watching late night Nick lol!
Favorite Song: Mrs. Jackson
3/9/22
This album was fine. Nice enough for background, but only the French. The English version bothered me, probably because lyrics are such a big deal for me. Wouldn’t listen to again.
Favorite song: Come Si (French version)
3/14/22
I really enjoyed this more than I thought it would since it is kinda folksy. As Ben put it “Bad Moon Rising” is a bop. I want to give it a 4.5, but I am going to round down to a 4 because I didn’t add many songs into my playlists.
Favorite Song: Bad Moon Rising
3/16/22
I really liked this album. A very easy listen. Added two songs into my playlists. I want to be better about giving 5s so I might give this a 5, but I’m not sure. I wish this was on a 10 point scale because it would be a solid 9!
Favorite song; Babylon
3/18/22
I’m torn with this album because there are two songs I know (Time After Time and GJWHF) but I really don’t listen to either of them or include them in my playlists. The rest of the album was hit 80s garbage, just not for me. So overall as an album some songs I like enough and the rest I could tolerate. Won’t listen to again though.
Best song: Time After Time
3/23/22
This guy gives me modern day Bob Dylan with an influence of James Taylor. Added 2 song to my playlists. This would be a good calm study album for the background, but I did enjoy it! Easy listen!
Favorite Song: Come Pick Me Up
3/28/22
Super interesting to learn about Courtney Love and the history of this album. It was a thing that I am glad I heard but probably will never listen to again. Ish I heard this in the height of my emo phase in high school lol. But overall very classic 90s grunge which is super fun!
3/29/22
This album was enjoyable but very background to me. None of the songs I would ever seek out to listen to again. Lots of religious themes which was interesting.
Favorite song: Miracle Man
3/30/22
I don’t think this band is that musically talented. I appreciate the story telling and their spoke word piece was great, but everything else was just okay. Fell short in comparison to The Wall. Also many song are hand to understand lyrics wise which makes it a hard listen if you aren’t reading the lyrics. Appreciate the themes.
Favorite song: Three Great Alabama Icons
4/4/22
This album is the musical equivalent to me looking at some random object in a modern art museum and trying to figure out how this is art. I would like the album much more if I could take her vocals out because the actual sound itself is very chill-hop/rhythmic relaxing vibes. She just a bit too out there for me. I had to skip multiple songs because I just couldn’t do it. This album gave me a headache.
I bet this album is amazing if you’re high
Favorite song: Hidden Place
4/7/22
Fun Cajun vibes! Makes me want some crawfish. I like the voodoo feel but I couldn’t see myself actually listening to this. Very unique and cool vibes. Would like as background music.
Favorite song: Gris gris gumbo ya ya
4/7/22
The easiest 5 I’ve given yet! Such a fun album with the perfect blend of theatrics and talent. Excellent guitar as well! Really enjoyed every song in the album and the ending was amazing!
Favorite song: Bohemian Rhapsody
Favorite new song: ‘39
4/8/22
This album was odd and bad. The guys voice is not good. The first song is miserable and then it gets better but everything just blends together. I recognized one song from Sex Education. Overall, hard to get through and I will probably never listen to it again, but also not the worst thing I’ve heard.
Favorite Song: This is the day
4/11/22
Background music. Should be in a spy movie. All songs blur together.
Favorite song: Glory Box
4/12/22
I’m so freaking excited!! I love this album and have already listened to it all the way through many times before. Personally I think it’s one of Taylor’s bests with so many great hits that I can listen to over and over again! Fun lyrics and high energy this album is AMAZING! I literally know every word to every song on the album!!
Favorite song: Bad Blood maybe but literally I cannot pick a favorite I love them all!!
4/13/22
I was more excited for this than was actually realized. My expectations let me down and maybe that’s my fault, but I just wasn’t impressed. The two songs I know I enjoyed but other than those, I don’t really love Sheryl Crow.
Favorite song: All I Wanna Do
4/19/22
Very classic rock! Enjoyed the album a lot as a whole. No one song stood out to me as something I would want to add to my music specifically but I enjoyed the album and genuinely liked every song. Great guitar of course! Overall very enjoyable. I’m glad I finally listened to a full AC/DC album!
Favorite song: Highway to Hell
4/25/22
I loved this album! Such a fun listen, and my heart will always be with punk rock and Green Day is such a classic. Already knew a few songs on the album and Basket Case is one of my favorite punk rock songs! The entire album could be the soundtrack of an amazing 90s movie which I love. Sure, many songs do sound very similar, but I like the sound so no problem with me!
Favorite song: Basket Case
4/25/22
This album is 80s to the max. It feels like something that would be playing over the radio at my dentists office and that’s because this is what they play on daytime radio! I knew several songs, but I don’t really like any of them. Feel very neutral towards this album.
Favorite song: What’s love got to do
6/1/22
AHHHH!!! Screaming, crying and throwing up!! So excited about this! Absolutely love this album and have loved it for two years now! This is certainly not my first time listening all the way through.
The album starts out so strong with hits of Willow and one of my absolute favorites of all time, champagne problems. Plus we get No body, No crime on this album which is AMAZING as well!
So happy! Such a good day!
Favorite song: I can’t pick just one, but my tops are champagne problems and no body
6/26/22
I hate Elvis Costello. This album is odd and not the mood. The lyrics suck, his voice sucks. I actually did get through all of it which is why I won’t give it a one, but I don’t like it.
Favorite song: I don’t like them
7/12/22
Generally background, but I really liked how groovy it was. Actually enjoyed this.
I liked Song of Love and The Love Gangster
Overall thoughts:
Well it’s a depressing album, but it’s also haunting in an intriguing way. If I was making an indie horror/slasher movie I’d for sure use this album. Adding to the feeling is the lore behind his death. Figure 8 is straight out of American Horror Story Freakshow.
Favorite songs:
Son of Sam and Junk Bonder Trader
I’d like to preface by saying that I wouldn’t listen to these ever, but I want them in a movie. They’re creepy and I like it.
Overall thoughts:
This was a nice afternoon listen. No particular song really shined above the rest, but the album was pleasant and enjoyable. I read that Sally was about the Salvation Army, which made listening to the song a little creepier. Also I can’t head Smooth Operator and not laugh about Carlos Sianz (look it up)!
Favorite songs:
Smooth Operator and Cherry Pie
This is like seductive cowboy music with a Broadway like twist. I feel like this could be the soundtrack to a musical for sure, like major Chicago vibes. I also feel like she could have inspired Shania Twain.
Undeniably amazing vocal performance though!
Favorite song:
Miss Chatelain
Season of Hollow Soul
Seems like generic 60’s rock. Most of the album is a fine listen. Not quite the well know and loved Stones yet, but fine easy listen. I was excited for “Tell Me” since it’s the only original song, but it felt underwhelming.
Favorite song:
None - no clear standouts for like or dislike
Great vibes only on this Monday morning! This album is upbeat, soulful and fun! Soo many good songs, but it’s very long and I did start to loose steam by the end. Overall, strong album from Mr. Wonder! I did prefer disc 1 over disc 2.
Favorite song:
Sir Duke!!
Honorable mentions:
- I Wish
- Isn’t she lovely
- Have a talk with God
- Pastime Paradise: no clue Gangsters Paradise was a sample!
The fuck
You simply CANNOT convince me that these people have any talent or that anyone who likes this has a single brain cell. The only thing I enjoyed was the song titles, but to borrow from track #2, I’d like someone to hit me with a rock when I listen to this machine porn garbage.
“Songs” that didn’t make my ears bleed:
- AB/7A (closest to actual music)
- Hamburger Lady
