When I first listened to this album, I put this repeat for 3 or 4 times then I read the lyrics for each track and my first thought was how much research she should have done to write like this ? Then I found out she spent about two and half to three years on researching. It has definitely paid off. Brilliant album. These are highly poetic songs full of rich dreamy melodies which reminisces the poetry of Randall Jarrell. "Francis Ford Coppola can lay claim to the war movie. Ernest Hemingway the war novel. Polly Jean Harvey, a 41-year-old from Dorset, has claimed the war album."
One of the best live albums I've listened to.There isn't one bad song on the album. And the transition from one track to another is pretty amazing. As I read there is a big debate about how ‘live’ Live and Dangerous is. My opinion is who fckin cares? Live and Dangerous is a great sounding album, it’s perfectly produced and mixed. I'm gonna exclude the 2 songs I already knew, "The Boys are Back in Town" and "Jailbreak". Most favourite tracks from the album: Southbound Rosalie/ Cow girl's song Dancing in the Moonlight Still in Love with You Cowboy Song
I never have really listened to Iron Maiden 'til now. I like some of the music here but it's not enough to make me wanna listen to them. Favourite tracks from the album: Strange World Charlotte the Harolt
One, two, three, four! stars. Any album in the world sucks when it's sounded like a same song repeating, except this one. Short and punchy, totally a vibe!
Not the best Queen album but still good. Operatic influence on both vocals and chord progression is amazing. Most favourite tracks: White Queen(As It Began) The Fairy Feller's Master-Stroke Nevermore The March Of The Black Queen Seven Seas Of Rhye

Beautifully krafted werk! Have never listened to Kraftwerk album before. This felt like a symphony for celebration of Europe constructed on a synth. Really innovative and enjoyable record. Strong 4 to Light 5. Most Favourite tracks: Europe Endless The Hall of Mirrors Trans-Europe Express Franz Schubert
Better than I expected. Surprised by the themes of this record as well. Generation Landslide, No More Mr. Nice Guy, Mary Ann, and I Love the Dead all leaves a strong impression. Strong 7 to light 8 out of 10.
No words can describe how beautiful this album is. Flawlessly written, produced, orchestrated, and mastered album. There's tremendous songwriting over the entire album. And it's sounds so minimal while atmosphere is so magical and ethereal. Multi-tracked harmonies elevate that atmosphere splendidly. Most favourite tracks from the album: Cocoon It's Not Up to You Undo Aurora Sun in My Mouth Unison 9/10
Through the vivid melodies and smooth grooves it's easy to overlook the darkness of these lyrics, How they navigate through the themes of drug abuse (Boston Rag), class envy (Your Gold Teeth), post-nuclear devastation (King Of The World), and Material possession (Bodhisattva) is prodigious. I’m really surprised at how much I liked this. Bodhisattva, Boston Rag , Show Biz Kids , My Old School , Pearl Of The Quarter are my personal favourites from the album.
A solid album with variety, good writing and every song is decent. I loved the musical composition and orchestration. And the features are very noteworthy, esp. Nick Cave, Elvis Costello and Tom Waits. Only thing that keeps me away from giving 4 stars is her vocals. FT: The Part You Throw Away Little Water Song Punishing Kiss Purple Avenue The Case Continues Passionate Fight
Imo, it was great but not overly-amazing. But I love that jazzy arrangements on the record. Tears All Over Town, Shadow on a Harvest Moon, Goodbye Sunday, I Always Was Your Girl, I Don't Want to Talk About It are my personal favourites from the album.
Listened 4 times throughout the day. Not exactly odious, but a bit flat for me. FT: Frou-frou Foxes in Midsummer Fires Cherry-coloured Funk
Solid album overall, easy listening. Babylon, Sail Away, This Year's Love, White Ladder, Nightblindness, We're Not Right and Say Hello, Wave Goodbye all leaves a strong impression.
Love this album. No words can describe how beautiful this album is and there isn’t an one bad song on the album. 4.5
Better than I expected. Pretty solid album. Highlights: If I Should Fall from Grace with God Fairytale of New York (feat. Kirsty MacColl) Thousands Are Sailing Shanne Bradley
