Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Sep 06 2022

I liked this album, there were a few cuts I was unfamiliar with that I really enjoyed and will go back to. With that said, there was a lot of tracks I didn't like all that much that I felt dragged the project down. I'm thinking a strong 6/10.

Paul's Boutique by Beastie Boys
Sep 07 2022

There were a lot of tracks I like off of this. Some really neat sounds and definitely need to revisit. At the same time, there were some kind annoying sections as well that I don't want to hear again. Could get very 'winy.' Certainly a classic. I thinking a light 6 personally.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Sep 08 2022

I loved this project. I had heard many cuts from it before, but never the whole thing from start to finish. I look forward to playing it again and again.

461 Ocean Boulevard by Eric Clapton
Sep 09 2022

I really enjoyed this tape. A lot funkier than I had anticipated. A lot of soul and just easy listening all around. Will definitely return to it. 7.5/10.

The Queen Is Dead by The Smiths
Sep 10 2022

I'm glad I got exposed to this. Definitely wish to return to it, but not in too much of a hurry. Reminded of the Talking Heads if they were worst at some points. Cool songs and a really solid project. I thinking a 7/10.

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Sep 11 2022

I thought this was very mediocre. The singing was not good, the lyrics felt uninspired, and the instrumentals sleepy and off-target. Reminded of a worst Nick Mulvey.

Sail Away by Randy Newman
Sep 12 2022

This felt like B-sides from a Toy Story movie. There were some gems in here, but all I could think of was Monk and Pixar. A lot of tedious tracks as well. But some good ones. I'm thinking a light 4.

Songs Of Love And Hate by Leonard Cohen
Sep 13 2022

I did not really enjoy this project. I guess I'm glad I listened to it and will maybe return to a song or two, but otherwise don't see quite how it made this list.

Quiet Life by Japan
Sep 14 2022

This was a very interesting album. Reminded me a bit of the Talking Heads.. if they were worst. I'd definitely like to revisit this in the future.

Sep 15 2022

This album totally rocked! Super impressed, one of the best punk albums—or live album I've ever heard. Had never heard of these guys but will dig into them more and for sure being replaying this. Really resonated with me upon first listening.

Boston by Boston
Sep 16 2022

This album totally rocks! So many classics. Only one or two I didn't know, even though if you had asked me prior to this listen to name a Boston song, I couldn't. Really impressed with this.

Technique by New Order
Sep 19 2022

I liked a lot of individual aspects of this album, but didn't love it one the whole. Songs felt repetitive and sleepy. It is also kinda erratic, with some songs being heavy, synth loaded bops and others more like singer song-writer post-punk alt.

Sep 21 2022

This had some great moments on it but felt a bit tedious to listen to. You really have to be in the right mood for it, but it's some great punk. I can see a time a place for it but mostly I think it was important to hear once to better understand British post-punk.

Sep 22 2022

I did not enjoy this. It was laborious to listen to and maybe I just wasn't in the mood, but they just came off as so winey. Would not recommend.

The Real Thing by Faith No More
Sep 24 2022

First track I liked was 'Falling to Pieces.' 'War Pigs' is obviously a classic. Overall did not enjoy this record. A bit rocky a bit punk, but I'm not even especially glad to have heard it. Will not be returning to this one.

Vincebus Eruptum by Blue Cheer
Sep 25 2022

This is easily the lowest quality recording so far on this list. Can't say I'm enjoying it too much. Very raw? But I don't think it sounds good or that they're doing anything special.. No need to listen again.

Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Sep 27 2022

Classic. Love this. Feels very old and is just really easy listening. Quite good.

Cafe Bleu by The Style Council
Sep 28 2022

This was an unexpected treat! Really great. A lot of very different moods and vibes. Will for sure be returning to this in the near future.

Copper Blue by Sugar
Sep 29 2022

I didn't care for this. Super receptive, annoying voices and uninspired writing. Boring and a waste of time. Also, I'm in a real bad mood and haven't even finished but sounds like Nickelback.

Tical by Method Man
Sep 30 2022

This is dope! Finally some fucking hip-hop. This would appear to be Method Man's first album. The quality isn't great and some of the beats I find tedious and unappealing, but Method has such command with his distinct voice I could listen to him on just about anything.

Violator by Depeche Mode
Oct 01 2022

I didn't like this as much as I thought I would. I'll give it another listen for sure but nothing really stuck out.

Heavy Weather by Weather Report
Oct 02 2022

Wow! What a nice surplice. This was excellent. I see why they call the genre 'fusion.' Jazzy and funky and kinda perfect for early mornings. Will definitely return to this quite a bit.

Isn't Anything by My Bloody Valentine
Oct 03 2022

I didn't really care for this. Don't really see what the appeal is. Guess I'm glad I heard it and there may be one or two okay songs but will most certainly not return to this project.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell
Oct 07 2022

This wasn't it. Didn't really like any of the songs on this. Kinda repetitive and just didn't speak to me at all. Kinda boring frankly. Black Crow has some funk but I see no reason to return to this.

Oct 09 2022

This was fantastic. A lot of classics that were fun to revisit and some new songs like Jamaican Jerk that were fun to discover. Will definitely be returning to this.

Gold by Ryan Adams
Oct 12 2022

This was a nice surprise. Never heard of the guy, but this was some easy listening rock.

The Sounds Of India by Ravi Shankar
Oct 13 2022

This was unexpected and also pretty interesting. Definitely glad I heard it but not sure if I'll be returning to again any time soon.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Jan 26 2023

Total banger. Top notch album. Probably number 2 in their discography.

Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
Jan 29 2023

Nothing special. Just fine.

The Sensual World by Kate Bush

Didn't do much for me. Not even worth a relisten.
