Popular Reviews

Blood, Sweat & Tears by Blood, Sweat & Tears

Rock organ and horns? Sign me up! What I like is that it sounds natural/folk and experimental/progressive all at the same time.

Dookie by Green Day
Jul 12 2023

Kinda sick of green day - it's on rotation too much on the radio and I just can't anymore

With The Beatles by Beatles
Jul 13 2023

Quite nice, light pop. John starts to get the rock out on Money (that's what I want) previewing twist and shout energy. I liked it, it breezed by.

Boston by Boston
Jul 14 2023

This is a favorite, looking forward to this! Trying to remember if I often got to the end of the album when it was in regular rotation. The Hitch a Ride guitar solo is an awesome example of the soaring 70s guitar sound - amazing! More than a Feeling is a favorite song of all time.

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Jul 17 2023

This was pretty good, an album of Steely Dan is plenty by the end. I like the funk and the horn arrangements. It's very polished and has a great sound.

The Band by The Band
Jul 18 2023

Well, not my style, but I see the appeal to those who sung their praises in the 80s. Folk, predecessor to southern rock, I hear it, I like understanding the lineage through the songs.

Lust For Life by Iggy Pop
Jul 19 2023

Wow, great album! I really love Tonight - that sludgy, drippy discoesque croon. Overall I like the easy way the songs play out and feel easy, fun and just enough irreverence to feel like "who cares". Good listening for a summer day.

Too Rye Ay by Dexys Midnight Runners
Jul 21 2023
The Stone Roses by The Stone Roses
Aug 02 2023

Can't remember ever hearing this band's name or songs, but it sure hits a vibe from the late 80s/ 90s.

Blood, Sweat & Tears by Blood, Sweat & Tears
Aug 03 2023

Rock organ and horns? Sign me up! What I like is that it sounds natural/folk and experimental/progressive all at the same time.

Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons
Aug 04 2023

Emmylou makes everything better, yeah?

Morrison Hotel by The Doors
Aug 09 2023

5 stars for influential. 3 stars for I've heard it waaaaay too much.

Kala by M.I.A.
Aug 17 2023
Homework by Daft Punk
Aug 23 2023

Tough to put on and listen to all the way through

Blackstar by David Bowie
Aug 29 2023

Innovative, inaccessible, however a hard listen honestly.

I Am a Bird Now by Antony and the Johnsons
Aug 31 2023

What in the fluttery fluff

Immigrés by Youssou N'Dour
Sep 13 2023

Pretty dope for the 80s

Electric by The Cult
