Busy instrumentation, don't do anything interesting with their multiple instruments. OK as background. No actual bad songs, but it's just not my thing. 3/5

Started ok but every new song tried to prove to me that it could be worse then the last one. Almost took off another star for the last song.

Sounds like how I think old school hip-hop should would like. It's OK, but not my thing. 3/5

While it is not my preferred genre, there was no song on the album that I disliked. 3 - 4/5, still in doubt 3/5 as I will probably not play this album again afterwards 4/5 as it succeeded in selling me a genre I'm not a fan of

Don't mind Janis Joplin, but the album as a whole is not the best.

I feel like I have to like this because it is Miles Davis, but I noticed that I can only appreciate this album in bite-sized chunks and not in 1 sitting.

Listened to this on repeat when I was too young to understand what was said. Now that I listen to this again I realise how problematic this album is, but nostalgia keeps me from giving it low ratings. 4/5 but if I didn't know the album and listened to it for the first time now I would probably rate it 2~3/5.

A lot can be said about his political views, but that's not why I'm here. I tried to listen to this album without having who he is as a person influence my judgement. How to create this album: 1. Take a Rage against the machine album. 2. Remove the 'rage' part. 3. Replace the lyrics with lyrics about how cool Kid Rock is, how real he is, what he's doing to your mom, ... (Spend some time on Voicechat in any of the competitive multiplayergames that are popular with 13y olds if you need inspiration) 4. Profit The result is a slogfest of an album that made me physically cringe at times. The only reasons this gets 2 stars instead of 1 are 'Somebody's gotta feel this' and 'Fist of rage'.
