V unique sound, really fun and dancy. I enjoyed this a lot.
Chill, short, good lounge music
Varying energy, a couple of songs you'd recognise, better than I expected
Consistent sound, relaxed and upbeat
Punchy, as expected, would be brilliant live. Unique sound.
Pretty slow, annoying voice, discordant vocals and instruments at times. If someone put it on I wouldn't complain but I wouldn't enjoy it.
Infectious beat, unique & consistent sound. Love Chuck D's voice. Sometimes aggressive so needs to fit a certain mood.
Thought this was great
Punks not massively my thing, but it was alright
Metal not really my thing, I thought the lyrics were pretty uninspired and the music pretty easy to write
Really enjoyed listening to this
Great album
This was so good what the hell
Music was fine, album was an hour and a half too long
Decent, didn't stand out
Good album, pretty much what you'd expect
Surprisingly fun - a bit weird and a unique sound, but super enjoyable. Quite varied throughout the album
Enjoyed this because I would never have listened to it without this website.
This really did not feel like anything special. Uninspired melodies/chords and ultimately felt a bit boring
I really like soul, so this was bound to do well. Otis' voice is brilliant, and the brass sounds great behind it. Fun to hear him do these covers
Catchy songs, enjoyable listening - a good time had by all
The production on this was quite cool, I enjoyed this more than I expected to. Dance vibes
I listened to this while cooking and it couldn't have set the vibe better - so relaxing and smooth.
You could feel the energy of the live performance, which was cool, and fun to hear smoke on the water.
Pretty chill, a fair few songs I recognised. Probably wouldn't play this a huge amount myself but recognise it's pretty good.
28 songs in 33 mins was a plot twist - It definitely felt longer than 33 mins. The entire album was lots noise with grunts and yells. I don't think I'm angry enough to ever choose to play this.
I wanted to dislike this more, but tbh thought it was good. I haven't really heard any U2 apart from beautiful day
Bit weird - kinda enjoyable
Just a great album
Gentle, relaxing, I enjoyed it a lot
I genuinely believe I could write this. Moaning voice, repetitive music, pretty minimal creativity. Didn't enjoy the album
This album was so varied - It started with songs that were fairly ambient and chill, had a couple of interesting ones, and then played a couple of garbage songs that were v abrasive. I wouldn't listen to it through again, but there were a couple of songs in here that were alright.
Voice a bit droney, music pretty ok.
This was fun, I enjoyed it throughout. La Grange is an excellent song too. Guitar riffs were great
This was brilliant, I enjoyed it v much. The soul vibe!
Songs were very much a 3/5 average not bad, but to make 3 hours of them is self indulgent and a waste of everyone's time
This album was great! Really interesting music, a few songs I recognised, really cool name and artwork, I just like this a lot.
Gentle, easy music. All a bit similar, but still fairly nice to listen to.
Iconic britpop. The sound of blur. Bit of a repetitive sound throughout the album.
Good music, I'm not mad into punk, felt like a slightly worse version of green day, but still enjoyable to listen to.
Pretty chill, decent as background music. Didn't feel like anything too special.
This was always going to be a good time
Decent, peace frog was banging - I enjoyed the album but it didn't feel outstanding.
Production is super cool and rhythm of the lyrics I enjoyed too - quite a few songs I recognised. V fun this came up, I've been meaning to listen through for a while.
I feel it's hard not to give this a 5, even though it's not massively my music, because of the profound impact and popularity of abba.
Felt a bit mundane, uninspired and not that interesting
Easily the most enjoyable punk band - you get what you expect but it's also what you want.
Great album, a bit past their prime
Easy 3 - I liked a few songs, but wouldn't choose to listen to this. Felt very generic Paul Simon. Bloody loved call me al though.
I enjoyed the first song, the rest were meh. Wouldn't listen again, but not unpleasant. Chain reaction sucked.
I love 50s music, always makes me think of fallout. Big brass, lively music, classic blues riffs - super fun
It wasn't bad, but I definitely would have net preferred not to listen to this album. Wasn't really my thing, felt a bit repetitive and non-imaginative.
Cracking album. The intro is beyond banging. Really cool, super enjoyable.
I would never have listened to this, and actually kinda vibed to it. I also found the opening song quite interesting - it's a very different way to approach music than the standard western "this is 4/4 tempo, here's middle C and a C major triad".
Nothing wrong with the album, I just wouldn't listen to it again
Enjoyable, good music - I probably wouldn't hunt it out but didn't want to change to something else. The longer songs were particularly cool, ideally would give this a 3.5
I like his voice, and thought some of the guests he brought on were cool. I'm not mad on blues generally, but this was reasonably enjoyable
"a reputation as one of the most challenging recordings in the 20th century musical canon" Wikipedia didn't lie
