Blonde On Blonde
Bob DylanVery fun will revisit so that I can discover more of the meaning within the lyrics.

They sound like goats i forgot how many famous songs came from this album (baby driver, Cecilia, etc). Like this must have been a favourite album for many of the artsy kids with aspirations to move to New York in the early 60s/70s. Maybe the lame artsy kids - everyone knows the cool ones listened to the velvet underground.
Good vibes, Mick Jagger is not a great singer but there are a lot of bops. No skips but I probably would not revisit and definitely won't remember all the songs.
Very fun will revisit so that I can discover more of the meaning within the lyrics.
Jerry for the love of god I can't understand what you're saying but it does make me feel pretty cool. Yeah I'm a rooster don't mess with me 🐔🐔 ANGRY CHAIRRRRR
Oh god why - good music made by horrible person.
This sounds like exactly how the album looks. Supreme vibe will probably listen to it again.
Very Led Zepplin
Spiritual lyrical miracle individual.
Can critics pls stop recommending me white dudes from the 60s and 70s. I can see how other people may like this but I don't. It feels like the entire point of the album is to recreate a jazz bar setting atmosphere with a live studio audience. But that's a gimmick that I get tired of 1.5 songs in. Why don't people just listen to live recordings of jazz musicians? Or go to a jazz bar? Both options offer more enjoyable music. Why listen to a dude recite a script about how horny he is or how sad this random pretty woman's life is.
Accurate title.
If I had been born in the 50s I would have been obsessed with this.
Very good vibes got me dancing in my kitchen.
I have already listened to this album and enjoyed it hehe.
Not always my thing but def an album I revisit once in a while
This felt like a series of movie soundtrack songs (probably because they have been used as such). The one thing I know about Bono is that he was called Bone-o in the flash game celebrity pedigree.
In some songs I was really surprised by how progressive they were for 1987 - like there are aspects of little furry things that are considered experimental by today's tastes. A lot of the rest sounds like 90s indie rock which i guess they were a precursor to. Appreciate the novelty but did not enjoy listening to all the songs.
Gotta revisit
One of my mom's fave bands and she knows nothing about them 😞
The lyrics are pretty well crafted and she is a gr8 poet but I found the accompanying instrumentals too boring to enjoy it. Also fast car has been previously ruined for me. This is queer on queer violence. Sorry Tracy.
I really liked it! Never heard of such orchestral folk music before, also think her voice is super unique and cool. Hehhe the was a bread roll.
Some really good songs some more meh songs
Im happy this gave me a reason to revisit this album. Like it. Especially the lost in a supermarket song
My favourite parts of this album are the parts they sound like othe post-hardcore/emo bands that I enjoy. They make me wish I was listening to slint or dogleg instead 🥲. I get that they were like the fathers of emo or smth. The second half of the album was better than the first.
Stop giving me steely Dan albums 😭
This is a 4.5 and Hats is a 5. I find some of the instrumentals kind of funny, they remind my of when I was in year 7 and we had to start composing things on Sibelius.
Murica
I did not really enjoy it
It was fun
This is a 3.5 - was very nice and chill to listen to while going Christmas shopping am unsure if I will listen to it again. She has obviously influenced some artists I really enjoy.
My fave guitar bowing whiney bois
I liked, portishead coming in with the supreme vibes. Did not emotionally touch me much so it gets a 4.
This is what I listen to every time I'm on an airplane. For the longest time I had no idea what the second half of the album sounded like because I would always fall asleep. Every time I revisit I find a new thing to like.
Good vibes liked the more instrumental ones halfway through. Very comforting
I mean what did you think I would rate it
This entire album feels like this scene from SpongeBob https://youtu.be/cUZNXgIXM1c?feature=shared
The sound was so momentous at times I had to lie on my floor and vibe while listening. Also blends of so many genres done so well while never getting boring or hackey like other prog rock bands. Its like the spiritual ancestor of black midi. Also the first album I've seen on this list that I could confidently say belongs on it 100%. Time to listen to it again.
It was nice jack white is obviously very talented. I'll probably not listen to it again.
I really like the concept and Nick cave is literally the best person for making an album like this. I can't give it a 5 because altho I love both Nick and PJ Harvey I have never managed to sit through Henry Lee. Also Stagger Lee is a bi psychopathic icon.
Kind of hit and miss tho I wish I liked it better bec I really like PJ as an artist.
I mean I cant find anything bad about it but I did not enjoy it and got bored a couple songs in. I was googling Ray Charles while listening and unsurprisingly he was a huge womaniser.
I like that both the biggest trip hop bands of the 90s came from Bristol. I feel like Massive Attack is easier for a casual listen but thats because its less emotionally potent. Idk enough about Massive attack's discography to rank this album against their others. Still nice to vibe to. I also like that some of their lyrics are kind of dorky by today's hiphop standards. My baby just cares for me, well, that's funny Her touch tickles especially on my tummy I have done more googling apparently this is considered the first trip hop album and basically founded the genre so that's neat.
I am so grateful for having been born otherwise I would not be able to listen to Joni Mitchell's music.
There is so much distortion on everything I can barely hear the melodies. I like that they look like Minecraft YouTubers.
This was fun never bored also wild that hiphop used to be this. I like there's a whole song about shoes.
I stopped listening a couple songs in nothing really gripped me.
Breakfast time is a weird song. Otherwise really enjoyed!
Really cool to see how many artists they've obviously influenced. Although the sound feels a bit old, less dated than other albums from the 70s and definitely has passages that feel new and fresh which is quite remarkable.
4.5 rounded up how could anyone dislike this
This is has been played at least once in every sports bar. It's fun but not quite my thing.
House music is not generally my thing but I liked this.
Not sure how to rank this album against others so it gets a 3 but undoubtedly talented
I don't know enough about heavy metal to know if this is particularly good.
It is crazy that this is almost 20 years old and doesn't sound dated.
The second half is much better than the first, there's a reason that led Zeppelin and black Sabbath are better remembered than these guys. I'm sure actually seeing their concerts live is a phenomenal experience but this did not translate into headphones.
I loved this I can't believe I haven't listened to Brian Eno before
3.5, would have been a 4 if it was only the second half of the album
I'm sure if I made it past the first couple of songs I could have rated it better
This is a 5 because it's a perfect album and most definitely absolutely not because I'm afraid of what Radiohead fans will do to me if I don't rate it as such l.
One of my airplane albums
Nice
I really like the album cover. I don't remember the music.
Mayonnaise is one of my favourite songs of all time. But some songs are not very memorable - 4.5 rounded up.
This feels like they have a quirky SpongeBob kind of vibe but after listening to the last song about living with the trauma of sexual assault I read all the lyrics and damn they did not come through in the music.
What happened to you sheep woman to make you feel this way
Not very cohesive but i do really like some of the songs!
This band was made for making soundtracks. Very good at setting tone but can easily fade into the background.
I really loved tether when I was 12, and I had never heard anything like their sound at the time. To me they now sound a little dated.
Quite possibly the most ambitious concept album
I wish there was an Arcade Fire album I liked in its entirety. The highs are high the lows are boring. This particular album is really frustrating to me because there are so many songs that i could almost really enjoy.
Most influential rapper of the century. Reinvented rap + brought an entirely new audience into the genre. Most of the most famous rap/hiphop artists today influenced by him etc. etc. I don't like this album. Maybe because it's one of his least approachable, tho I do like other artists with aggressive, jagged beats like peggy and injury reserve.
One of my favourite albums that year. Witty writing, lush instrumentation, immaculate vibes.
My favourite LCD soundsystem album. The best songs I've heard about grief and losing control of your life.
