Well now I have to dig out the LP! YouTube is only so good. This really is the future. I’m a Numanoid synth fan and the songs metal, control and film are bangers. I’m still praying to the aliens. I suppose I got a deep love of electronic music, I guess it’s just modern nostalgia for the future.
I wasn’t familiar with X at all other than the hits on various punk compilations. I was under the impression it only had a girl singer, image my surprise. I liked it a lot, when our love passed out on the couch was my favorite.
Redundant but classic moody dark Cure with some good beats.
Formulaic punk redundancy with some pop kicks but I think every song is still good even if only two songs are different. Classic album.

I saw TV on the radio in 2004 and shortly after there 2006 album they fell off my radar. I still enjoyed the vocals but I felt this album was like one long run on song.
Corny Country with some mild counter culture flair. Not too groovy or rockin to me.
Lump me in with the psych suckers who truly enjoy this brand of jam. My cuppa tea! Not into his other stuff but I truly do love a couple songs on this record.
I have been effin’ my ear holes with this record for the past 30 years! My dad turned me on to this in my teens and it only gets better with age. Glam jams from a true rock god!
Like the title of the album says they really kick out the jams… and they go down the road …and into the gutter. It’s got some redeeming value and some good guitar work but it’s probably the reason I’m not a fan of live albums. Kinda messy and not in a good way.
Pure counter culture poetry set to some strange guitar riffs. I like the guitar on a couple songs but feel the album is slow & probably pretentious folk. I’m not sure if it’s 'deeper' than it actually is, or just pointless sorta meaningless drivel, conceptually or otherwise.
Guitar hooks for days! One of my absolute favorite Fall albums. At least 5 songs on the album get stuck in my head every time I listen to it. I’m definitely a fan.
Oh man I’m a really big FAN! It’s no Here Come the Warm Jets, Taking Tiger MTN or Before or after Science but it’s really super fantastic regardless IMHO! 11/10 all day ENO ILU
Well… I guess it’s half good. He sings like a girl on one. He plays these songs faster live. My husband is a big fan and had to break out the box set. Oh we oh not my fave Prince album tho.
Oh I very much like 5 songs from this album but the others are not bops of my taste. More importantly what’s up with the official reimagined videos for this album. No offense to the director(s) but what merde. Still a classic album of great importance to my heart.

Wasn’t what I expected from ELP but it was fun listening to in the bath!
Sorta folksy soft rock to me. I think shes got a good velvety voice and it makes me think of feminist festival music or outdoor craft show blues fest stuff. I feel like her guitar picking is holding it down with a sweet mellow buttery groove. The song tall in the saddle has some electro funk I like.
I admit I was a real white stripes hater when it came out and my husband rocked the cd driving around skipping to the popular song's … but here we are 24 years later and I remember some of the lyrics. So theres that. I guess it’s not that bad if you like the Beatles or Nirvana or an amalgamation of garage psych blues best of’s.
I like funk, I like jazz, I like noise, I like world music. There’s one good song and the rest is okay but reminds me of a 90’s plastic charm bracelet overloaded with trinkets.
I lived a full life listening to this long album and I don’t actually mind Fripps funky prog rock sound scapes yet for a second I thought it slipped and was listening to ye ole captain beefheart but I am ethically obliged to say it is refreshing 0 taste high maintenance music in symbiosis with pursuing lofty grad goals at stem school but winding up being a catatonic creative marketing consultant for marajuana dispensarys. Just play a synthesizer in your bathroom while setting up your dab rig and you’ll have the same energy. Neat strings and piano on some songs though. You won’t find any sound healing here. I will say gotta I like xylophone intros and smooth sailing sound effects. I think plants would like this album.
Not a single bad song on this album, if you like this sort of stuff and I do. CSNY sure had the harmonies and melodies that defined the peak 70’s folk rock genre. Let’s not forget that pedal steel and other guitar pieces that musta made for one hell of a good show back in the day!
When I first bought this cd I was really confused. I love talking heads, I love Brian Eno & David Byrne how could I not love this collab. I was like nope. Now when I say I love Eno apparently I love 1974-1978 Eno. But now I’m old and like some ambient, occasionally. When I say I love world music this is sorta what I mean. I am glad I gave it another listen because it is pretty neat but I don’t know if it’s going in to my regular rotation.

its okay. its got xylophones, saxophones, it's got marching arrangements, there's even a slide whistle and I really like VDP but I'm also a big baby and I like things that make me feel like a toddler learning new jingles but I am not really a beach boys fan I get that they had the chance to be real progressive psych rockers but the corporate machine got them where they wanted them. I guess its really good, I'm talking myself into it.... but good vibrations can suck it , ok I listened to it in its entirety again its better than ok its alright brb I have to go listen to The Smile Sessions (child is the father of the man) idk how is it so different it’s the same song and Pet Sounds now
I know what I like and although it tends to lean more towards Amon dul or can, my partner has been on an early genesis Phil Collins & Peter Gabriel kick the last 10 years so I’m pretty familiar with this album and it’s got one of my fave genesis songs on it. British prog rock perfection.
It’s good but it’s missing something or someone oh yea that’s John Cale. I do love moe tucker singing the last song and I will always love the velvet underground and there meandering melodies. I bet this album is better when you are on the pot, ya know the marajuanas …

No notes, perfect 80’s dancy new order album. Idk why it gets so much hate, what ….it’s not the best of. We refer to this as the bad new order album but we still listen to it.
I’ll admit that I was not a fan when it came out , it was really agro cock jock rock imo and I was more of a Dead Kennedys fan. But it’s not like that and I was wrong. It rocks and this album is definitely having a resurgence for reasons I am sure are a timely response to a certain political climate that finds the USA divided. Heavy guitars and good lyrics go along way.
ssookay I knew 2 songs from this album, ya know the two. Orange crush is good, I think this might be a good road trip album when you run out of your regular music. I've never heard it in its entirety before, it has a feel to it, not my feel but a 90s nostalgia that makes me think of Delia's catalog dresses and teen smoking.

The last song is the best but the rest of the album is perfect to listen to and do laundry!

This album has all the really good smiths songs on it. So does meat is murder. And there’s another one too. I grew up with this album. I like it a lot. It’s ingrained in me. As I recently told my friend. I can focus on the music and not the complications of the actual person, if we’re calling openly racist personality traits “complications”. I think Johnny Marr is a great guitarist I saw him play with Modest Mouse. My fat moody punk goth coming of age teen years had this album as one of the many that were the soundtracks to my life.
Picture it.. Tampa, 1995 Ybor city, the castle … half past midnight “this corrosion” comes on and you and all your teen goth friends run to the dance floor to paint the floor with their best moves. This album brings the hits … okay like 3 but it’s good but probably only very specific to a certain group of fans. Count me in! I still listen to this album regularly even if I skip songs to listen to good ones. We also went to a Bennigans after dark and danced to this in the restaurant turned nightclub. Spooky good times.
I love Neil Young and this album. It’s got depressing lyrics it’s got banjo it’s got western folk and slide guitar it’s got a couple great songs so this meh ones can play through. I like his voice.
You already know that Tomorrow Never Knows is a great song! There are some really great progressive songs here. It’s no sgt peppers or white album but it’s right up there with the best of them. Great job lads!
I’m not gonna lie I cried just seeing this album pop up. This has what we call big feelings songs. Sure it busts out the gate with the worldly disco funkish I zimbra and you can tell Eno influenced it. Every song is so touching for me. I’m a fan tho. I get that it’s more experimental than buildings and food and definitely more prog than punk but it’s great for just that reason.
Crazy about the Kinks! Definitely a Kinks album with some great songs and some meh songs but it is still a fantastic fun album. I recently read Ray Davies book and re listened to all of the kinks albums in order and it made me appreciate the music more. The book wasn’t very good unless you forgive the author for the experimental sci-fi stuff. Much like this album there’s some experimental arrangements but I’m here for it!

Super Catchy. A multitude of various styles and a stellar line up of musicians makes for an amazing album! I dig it, one of my first fave Bowie albums because of kooks and Andy Warhol.
I really don’t know why I like neil young so much but I really do. It’s got grating vocals, melancholy melodies, folksy piano and some upbeat songs. I love the title track and birds. The whole album makes me feel like I am a 70’s teacher with corduroy elbow patches wistful about radical change in the world and how the future is in the hands of the youth.
Siouxsie is an absolute iconic vocalist. I had the 7” of spellbound then bought this album. I wish it was all like Spellbound. I am a big fan of Budgie too. Good stuff. I’m more of a hits person when it comes to the banshees. Deep cuts are always cool but the psych pop stuff is just so good.
Yes please and thank you lazy Sunday afternoon has had my heart for a long while. If you can deal with the heavy British accent you get blessed with some cookin riffs, a hammering Hammond organ and some catchy lyrics. This is what I think of when I hear British mainstream psychedelic pop music. It’s silly, irreverent and effortless fun. I also like Bowies laughing gnome so there’s that. The narrator is a bit much. Also I listened in mono if you cared.
Im not a beach boys fan but take a load off your feet has been a favorite song of mine for many years. It’s the best song on this album. I get they have a huge catalog of work and it’s not all bubblegum surf and they really try to hammer out the fact they were rockin experimental. This is the only Beach Boys album that I would ever consider buying but just for that one song.
Title song is too damn long but Tvc15 makes up for it. Anyway it’s a pretty good album. I love this polarizing creep of an artist you can tell this is a cocaine fueled self indulgent record trying new things for the time. I think it sounds like it was pushing the envelope whirling twirling towards the future of rock.

It’s great, it’s kinda jazzy but it’s all over the place, and it preps you for the next even better Love album, Forever Changes. Now THAT album has one of the best songs ever written ‘alone again or’ but this is definitely not that. Still good in its own right but I can see how it’s pretty polarizing.
Green light go. I was not at all familiar with Steve Winwood or Traffic. The first song started out like it was library music, you know the stuff played in 70’s tv shows. I like that stuff. The you tube album played it twice and the second time around I was hooked. I found myself staring into the corner of my room whisked away to a different time and space. The whole album seems masterfully crafted by talented musicians. I’d gladly listen to it again and go for another ride. In fact I did… I listened to it 3 times in its entirety and I replayed the song Glad even more!
Holy crap it’s got all good people on it that’s a great song imo! The rest sounds like music the band Rush listens to. My husband who has seen Rush at least 4 times said Geddy played bass for them at the hall of fame induction because there guy died. I guess it’s fitting. It’s not bad but I imagine it sounds absolutely amazing if you just smoked some of the devil’s lettuce.

Brainstorm and masters of the universe for the win. Hawkwind is one of my favorite bands. The first 6 albums are exceptional. This album is pretty spaced out, as in outerspace. I think they might have been on some drugs or something. Go watch Silver Machine on top of the pops on YouTube for some real good fun footage. This isn’t the best but there’s so much going on. And on, and on.

How did I not realize how horny the songs were when I was listening to this regularly in the early nineties? All the boys I know bought it for the boobs on the cover and then found one of the best indie bands. I think this album turned me on to Albini and then I got to hear big black and shellac. I used to think gigantic and break my body were romantic songs haha. Album still holds up.
I think the face paint is more memorable than the album. Sure it’s no hunky dory or ziggy or lodger for that matter but it’s definitely got some hot licks. I used to listen to this in the 90’s on my old mono stereo with 70s headphones and at that time I felt like David Bowie was listening to a lot of T. Rex because I was listening to a lot of T-Rex. My aunt really loved Bowie and I’m so glad she got me into it.
Wowie this was new to me! I’m pretty sure I heard the cover songs on some punk compilation back in the day but I’ve never listened to the Dictators before. Maybe once. This was so fun. I liked the cover songs and Two Tub Man and cars and girls. What a poppy punk rockin roll good time! The talking wrestling promos or whatever were wacky and reminded me of early SNL.

It’s got budgie, it’s got unmistakable vocals, & they made lots of videos that offer a glimpse into England's early punk scene. It’s fun, funky fresh and I still have a couple slits songs on ye old daily Spotify mix. I also love the raincoats.

He introduced me to a lot of really cool music cough* the fall, beat happening, os mutantes and more. We still listen to a lot of sparks. I love the fall and this album has a couple of funny songs on it, glam rocket and going to Spain for example. I don’t think it’s the best and it’s not in my regular playlist but it’s definitely the Fall. I think if you didn’t already like the fall this might be to long for the average listener.
I like this album. It reminds me of the renaissance festival. Your my best friend is a great song so is Lazing on a Sunday afternoon, not to be confused with Small Faces Lazy Sunday. Which is a great song too.
Oooh this is top notch psych rock with the great Roky Erickson on vocals and although a bit repetitive I bet it was a wild time and it reeks of short skirts and jaybirds filled with the devils lettuce. Freak out man!
I like this and when someone asks me what kind of music I like sometimes I say, goth, punk, funk, psych and world music. I think of this as world music. Listening Wind Is my jam. I think of it like world music. I wonder sometimes if Eno wasn’t on the albums that he was would they have gone a different direction. Who really cares. Talking Heads really has something for everyone.
Whimsical kinks but pretty basic
I’m an old pervert and I love this album! I am insanely jealous, I got the hots, I wanna destroy you and underwater moonlight are forever trapped in my brain. Kingdom of love, vegetable man rock my socks. I listen to this album regularly but those tracks are just too good. Cream of the new wave psych pop rock crop and personal mind blowers. Pretty avant, wonderfully weird and definitely groovy!

Still hits! Haven’t listened to it in ages but it was a fave when I was in 9th grade in 1990. I only liked British punk. I think they were my favorite band. Until I heard Bauhaus. Nevertheless the album is great, it still stands up. Remember when people said they couldn’t play and they were just a punk boy band Malcom cobbled together. Wankers! I didn’t care then and I don’t care now. I’m pretty vacant and I’m still pogoing in my adolescent delight. I’m going to shove a safety pin in my ear for old times sake.

The most hardcore boring horny pulp album that’s slow but still better than Oasis even tho not one single banger on this bland bunch of Bowie-esque music stands out.

I want to give it less stars but Ian MacKaye has a pretty good voice and one or two guitar riffs are better than I remembered. I really only like the song waiting room which is not on this album. It makes me think of skateboarders and the fun we had in high school in the 90’s.
Everyone had this when it came out. It is not that great, I remember one song. The one on the radio, the popular one. It was a product of the time. It feels like it was a manufactured atheistic concept like what someone would think 60’s garage rock would sound like without having heard any. There were a handful of bands that came out around this time like, Jet, the Strokes, the White Stripes, the Walkmen, maybe even the Libertines… like fingers of the same hand. I could be wrong I’m not going to fact check myself you can use AI if you like. I am gonna just go listen to the Byrds, small faces or the Troggs.
Boy I had a crush on Buddy Holly in the 80’s when I was like 10 and when i bought this album I was bummed it didnt have everyday or Peggy Sue on it. They played the crickets on the oldies station when they actually played 50’s music. At least there were a couple of great songs on the album for me to pretend I was going to go to a sock hop to! Musta been fun to be a kid back then. As long as you came from the right side of the tracks if you know what I mean.
"Atrocity Exhibition" is by far my most favorite and played song of all time as of late. I’m really listening to this daily for 2 years now. My second favorite song is “Wilderness” which is not on this album. I am a big fan. I’ve liked this band since I first heard them in the early 90’s. I do not like the song “Love will tear us apart”, also not on this album. I like the faster noise rock bops. I love the hypnotic drums. I can only imagine how cool this was to hear when it first came out. It’s fun, witty, expressive, experimental, poetic and I think kinda funny. I don’t think it’s all that dark or depressing but at the same time I’m not either. I get the tone but it’s a solid banger. Obviously I’m obsessed.
