1001 Albums Summary

I was surprised how much I enjoyed listening to this. At first I thought it was not for me, but the more I listened, the more I liked it. It certainly was good dance music. My toes were tapping.

The Rolling Stones have never been my favorite band and I have been around a long time. I did enjoy the slower selections though.

Not for me. I just cannot get into rap or hip-hop

I did not know what to expect, but I found myself mesmerized by the piano playing. I wish I could play this well. I was put off by the moans, but I thought maybe his left hand was aching from the constant movement. Great background music for reading.

The music was interesting, but the lead singers voice totally threw me off. Not for me.

Good old rock band. Took me back years.

My experience with the Youngbloods was the song Get Together, so I was quite surprised by this album. I liked the keyboards. It seemed more of a jazzy album than rock. Good to just let roll in the background while doing work.

It was ok, I could take it or leave it. Music was repetitive. Seemed like good dance music.

First time listening to Thelonius Monk. Felt like I wanted a cigarette and a bourbon. Great music to let it waft over you. Thanks for sending this one.

Strangely enough, I have never listened to a Madonna album. This was easy listening at its best.

Not for me. Neil Young’s voice grates to my ears.

I now understand Taylor Swift’s appeal to her fans, especially young women. She is easy to listen to and upbeat. I am a fan now.

I have not heard Duncan in years. Great song! Paul Simon is just great! Interesting to hear demo version of Duncan and Me and Julio.

One of my favorite albums. It does not get old. Simon & Garfunkel at their best.

I had never listened to Radiohead before, but I knew they were very popular. I really enjoyed listening. I guess this is why you listen to new music.

Never listened to a solo George Harrison album before. I was familiar with My Sweet Lord, but not heard the others. Most were quite nice to listen to.

Not for me. Initial Japanese music was nice, it this is just not for me.

Good listening. Ironic that I listened to the band when I was in college and my children listened to it 20 years later. Led Zeppelin is timeless.

Great bluesy guitar…especially loved version of .Ol Man River

I know I am in the minority, but I am not a big Who fan. I appreciate the musicality and really like some of their songs, but they are really not for me.

My initial reaction to this selection was “oh no” but I rather enjoyed it. It was not something I would have picked, but it was decent.

I really liked the album. It was the music. The lead singer was kind of annoying. I would definitely listen to this again.
