Jan 11 2024

Killer record from prime Funkadelic. Heavy rock/funk fusion. Moving live version of Maggot Brain.

Beauty And The Beat by The Go-Go's
Jan 12 2024

Girl power rock. Catchy but plays with time signatures. Sounds like they and Blondie were playing off each other.

Be by Common
Jan 13 2024

Fantastic fucking album. Definitely add to the rotation. Melodic R&B/Neo-Soul backing underneath poignant and thoughtful rap/hip-hop. Probably want to listen to multiple times to let the words sink in.

Dookie by Green Day
Jan 14 2024

Classic album with a fair proportion of bangers. Pretty innovative for the time. You can hear some Latin rhythms dressed up as punk double stops. Definitely Hwhite people music for the most part, but decent music to get some aggression out.

Moon Safari by Air
Jan 15 2024

Chill as fuck. Like if The Beta Band took a Valium. Great inoffensive background music. Would’ve definitely had on playlist as a former pothead.

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Jan 16 2024

Excellent album for getting in touch with your shadow self. But if you don’t like a little depresh to your introspesh-ction it might be a little heavy. Wonderful vocal and solo accompaniment. Great songwriting.

Rum Sodomy & The Lash by The Pogues
Jan 17 2024

Classic Irish music with thoughtful punk-ish arrangements. Traditional Celtic music can be grating after awhile, but the Pogues keep your interest here.

Apocalypse Dudes by Turbonegro
Jan 18 2024

Solid as fuck rock band. Objectively good. It’s not gonna change your whole life or anything, but it definitely falls under the “good shit” banner. Think Motörhead or Lucero without the twang.

Pearl by Janis Joplin
Jan 20 2024

Classic album with the big hits. Very tight, a little departure from Bug Brother and the Holding Company

So by Peter Gabriel

Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp
Feb 04 2024

Wonderful album I would have never found on my own. Reflective and poignant, chill but meaningful. Great album

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Feb 05 2024

Couldn’t even finish it. Whiney as fuck, with an underlying hint of sexual predation and narcissism.

Under Construction by Missy Elliott
Feb 07 2024

Straight fucking bangin’. Really really tasty shit

Pyromania by Def Leppard
Feb 11 2024

Classic hair metal
