Pop, female, mid,
timeless voice, good mix, nice piano/instrumental melodies, harmonies, tacky, fadeouts
Rock, mid, differing, poser, partly annoying, partly ok
Britpop, good melodies, positive, melancholic, great album
Wave, synth, industrial, wide range of styles, electro, dark, well mixed - not my pair of shoes
Desert, smooth, easy, cool, takes time
Funk, groove, gospel, fade outs, not impressive, rolling stone psychodelicly long, boring
Country, Americana, Indie, male, mid/fast, good melodies, trumpets, good mix
Indie, groove, smooth, retro, mid/slow, good melodies, nice solos, but basically redundant, album drags to finishing line. Not there best one fmpov
Britpop, indie, male, mid, carefully arranged with strings, sometimes too much, but classic poprock album, with tendencies to Radioheadesk parts. Puts a wide smile on my face, listened to this one very often 25y ago, borrowed it from a girl i liked, burned it on a ROM, but threw it away some moves possibly. Remembered many arrangements and lyrics. Back in the days, liked the shy songs more than the big ones- still the same :)
Indie, SingerSongwriter, mid, male, great voice, multi instruments, harmonic, sarcastic, sounds more american/metropolitan than british, many different styles, experiments with instruments and effects. Feels like he is fed up with the world and is confident it would not change, but enjoys life as best as possible. Listened to it while studies, was on my mobile for a long time. Great album, reminds me on pink moon sometimes.
Electro, samples, triphop, funk, singles well known, still airing at indiediscos (with chemical brothers and prodigy). Other songs more interludes or copy of the hits, missing the consistency, some songs rather boring, not eyeopening - expected more. But the music videos and album cover are great.
Folkrock, 60s, male, mid, smiling faces, but did not catch me. Too much talking, not a lot that lasts for me.
Indie, softrock, mid, male, limited variation, where are the hits? Why this album? Don’t get it…
Indie, alternative rock, britpop, jazz, keys, electro, dub, melancholic and happy, male, mid/slow/fast, interesting concepts and challenging songs, many different styles. Catchy, but voice is quite weak. Not convinced, but not bad. Gets better every by every spin.
Pop, 80s, keys, male, mid/fast, sooo theatric, soooooo much drama, echos everywhere (especially on the drums), the guitar solo are unbearable, as well as the claps and keys/synth. Not aged well/at all, please excuse. Only adequate song is the last, still not protecting from 1 point - especially with 2 minutes guitar and piano outro.
Rock, folk, beat, opera, male, polyphonic, mid/fast, good melodies, nice rhythms, solid, varied rock album, but partly challenging. Not bad, but not catchy enough - average
Electronica, ambient, indie, female, polyphonic, mid, strings, dark, drama, very limited beats/song structures, long songs, very much focused on her voice. As much as I "respect" her as an artist (what a stupid phrase), not enough for me, no additional spin.
Swing, beat, blues, 50s, male, mid, lovesongs only, quite good recorded, not sure if i'd liked it when I was born in 1930s... but solid songwriting.
Rock, avant-garde, psychedelic, alternative, britpop, soundscapes, noise, male, mid, rhythms, dub, jams, repetitive melodies, dark, a lot of samples, soundtrack. Wyld... needs definitely several spins to get it. Would be fun to see this live.
Rock, psychedelic, folk, blues, garage, male, mid/fast, experimental, winds, harmonica, soundtrack, jams, nice melodies, catchy, energy, combines a lot of elements I like, never heard before, took several spins, but the album is slightly unbalanced due to many short and one final jam extra long song.
Rock, heavy metal, male, mid, solos, voice too prominent, rather soft, drums and bass play very small role, but a lot of references. Not enough to keep me entertained...
country, guitar, female, slow/mid/fast, polyphonic, good old american dream music, great voice, has much more drive than expected, great melodies and personality - I don't want to like that
Pop, dance, disco, keys, male, mid, first tones already offended me, didn't like it back in the days, was awaiting the end so much - after the second song already... and than comfortably numb appeared - wtf!
Why in this list?! and the stupid outro?!
In total, not as bad as expected, but just not relevant...
Rock, dance, funk, pop, male, hiphop, mid, nice tunes, catchy, blueprint for Pharrell style, solid music and songwriting, aged well, not my pair of shoes
Rock, psychedelic, beat, male, mid, keys, oriental, very balanced, well arranged and recorded, aged very well, an album for every situation
Rock, americana, pop, folk, male, mid/fast, keys, lovesongs, solid - but not mine
Dance, electro, pop, keys, beats, samples, so many singles and radio/musicTV airing, but non of it touched me once, still not really. Solid album though, aged ok, a little bit too long.
Singer/songwriter, folk, blues, ballads, female, mid/slow, guitar, voice very much in focus, quite fragile, no beat/rhythm, hard to follow, not catching me at all, voice too high and too much tremolo
Rock, wave, 80s, synths, male, mid, album breathes and has space - not too packed, good melodies, like it somehow surprisingly
Rock, wave, industrial, ballads, male, mid/slow, quite boring voice, way too much delay on drumset, has a vibe, but expected more due to "shoegaze pioneers" and Roadburn24 billing...
Rock, britpop, garage, jam, male, mid/fast, organ, cans, pushy, badass massive sound, reminds me on the Foos here and there. "sun hits the sky" was on a sampler/mixtape, but can't remember. Good record
Rock, prog, psychedelic, experimental, male, mid, masterpiece, great dramatic composition, one of my first spinspinspinrecords during studies, many experiences with it (cover bands, exhibition, planetarium), but seeing/hearing the full album live at duna jam beach was just... mindblowing - thank you David Celia. Still goosebumps me...
Jazz, trio, instrumental, jam, solo on solo, the bass is killing me, not catching me. puh - not at all...
Spacerock, prog, stoner, jam, blues, mid/fast, male, soli, sounds, cans, keys, drive, must be impressive live, but not sooo catchy on record. Still great.
Indie, easy listening, rock, male, mid, nice voice, good melodies, solid sunday morning breakfast music; don't know who copied from whome, but a lot of U2 and Morrissey inside; aged well, streets of your town still rotates at DLF.k
Rock, psychedelic, classic, keys, male, polyphonic, slow/mid/fast, high energy and passion, impressive debut, outstanding voice, great recording and atmosphere, well arranged and selected song sequence, some weaker songs, but generally great
Punk, rock, ska, cans, mid/fast, male, high energy, dancing shoes, good combination, positive and cheesy, voice not my favorite, not catchy enough for me, but good
Indie, lofi, experimental, electro, mid/fast, female, samples, bells, dancy and groovy, air to breathe, aged well, high voice, but not annoying
Postpunk, indie, garage, mid/fast, female, kicks ass, high energy, but drums don't kick enough for me - solid, but not overwhelming
Pop, dance, mid/fast, female, party, emotional, synths, much better than expected, not annoying, good beats/rhythms. The Intro of Clean reminds me sooo much on Kettcar - Landungsbrücken raus... someone has good scouts :D
Rock, folk, blues, prog, mid/slow, male, polyphonic, ballads. Many rhythms, tunes and melodies I don't like, some are good. My first thought: is this their last album? "I want you (she's so heavy)" starts so boring, but becomes a great song. Many others are just... somehow annoying. Close to 2 stars only
Classic rock, prog, pop, violins/celli/strings, slow/mid/fast, male, polyphonic, ballads, strange, annoying and boring WDR2-music, musically not bad, but either too much drama and ambition or lame, with small positive excuses
Singer-Songwriter, soul, rock, mid/slow, female, great voice, groove, keys, well arranged, the sax is not my pair of shoes, album starts great but gets weaker over time
Rock, indie, pop, americana, mid, male, keys, delay on drums, BruceSpringsteen overflow, dreamy tunes, sounds all the same. Solid sunday morning music, not bad, but not mine.
Soul, R&B, female, slow/mid, well arranged with strings, keys, winds and co, good voice, but songs too much focused on it, songs too simple, album too long
Country, folk, male, mid, just legendary, great voice, great atmosphere, great announcements, this is a blue print for a live album - very authentic, country still not mine.
Grindcore, hardcore-punk, male, growls, very fast, iconic grindcore, puts a smile on my face, but gives me nothing, live funny
Wave, synthies, pop, 80s, mid, male, delay, sax, like the length of the songs and the way they can evolve, not bad arranged, not annoying or bad, but too poppy and not catchy enough, also don't like the hits
Indie, folk, blues, acoustic, slow/mid/fast, male, atmosphere, very simple but great, blister start was my ringtone once (need to redo this), makes me want to dance immediately, has great drive for an acoustic band, but still limited in sound and style. solid
Rap, beats, male, interludes, some nice beats, but not more, didn't bring rap closer to me
Indie, britrock, easy listening, mid, male, simple but good, nice flow, strings and keys floating around, but slightly boring and not impressive for more than 3 stars
Pop, rock, mid/slow, male, greasy, polyphonic, keys, no hits, well arranged and recorded, but don't like the voice and the slowness of the record
Traditional, world music, jazz, fado, male, mid, repetetive, boring.
Old men making sad music with basic instruments. Can remember when it was in the charts back in the 90s and I did not like it there... not sure if i change my mind again in 30 years.
Blues, jazz, positive, emotional, live, male, mid/slow. Not sure if I ever get into blues. No bad record, but can't think about a mood that this touches me.
classic rock, ballads, opera, ambitious, very diverse, concept, but no hit and not catchy for me. fully convinced this is a masterpiece, but not for me, needed 3 spins and reserache for details.
