Heaux Tales
Jazmine SullivanAbsolutely dross. Some nasty words need to be said about her.
Absolutely dross. Some nasty words need to be said about her.
Masterpiece
Shoutouts to sledgehammer but rest of it is pants. Music for divorced women.
Impressive pipes but nothing special. Good background music.
Fantastic album - imma need that new music soon my squire.
One of the best yet.
Absolutely dross. Some nasty words need to be said about her.
Couple of highlights but overall nothing special. 2/5
Very pleasant. Get talking heads vibes on some tunes which is always good.
Meh
Enjoyable listen. They have an original sound. 3/5
Electrifying music - the sort of stuff which gets Trev Tench out of his seat.
Chemical Brothers at their best. 3.5/5
Very meh. Not my cup of tea
One of the greats - some of his finest work on this album.
Can’t believe I’ve never listened to it before. THIS IS MUSIC. 4/5
He’s a harrowing bloke Nick Cave but boy can he make some fantastic music. In love, in love, in love you laugh. In love you move, I move And one more time with feeling 4/5
Instrumentals are fairly good but that front man is a tosser. Rather listen to afghan dan. 2/5
Long live jazz.
Prime Metallica. Music to batter someone’s nan to. 3.5/5
A truly historic album and way ahead of its time. It has the stamp of approval from sir Eric Worsley so that is enough for me. Narrowly misses out on a 5. 4.5/5
Very enjoyable.
The best singing voice of all time? Fantastic album - the title track sends shivers down my spine. 4/5
A really well put together album which is something chilli peppers generally struggle to do. A certain ginger man has it tattooed on his arm so that certifies it’s CLASSIC status. 4/5
Enjoyable
Singer sounds a lot like Lou Reed but the band are no where near the level of velvet underground. Not bad at all. 3/5
If you have a conversation about the 60s then the Zombies have to be involved. Great album and all flows together well. 3.5/5
Ferocious from start to finish. Star of the album was the sounds of science - can’t say I’ve heard a song quite like that before. Trev Tench went to see them play a Co headline show with Run DMC at Brixton when he was younger. 4/5
First time I’ve listened to one of their albums and it won’t be the last. Full album synced together nicely. Standouts were and ocean in between the waves and disappearing. 3.5/5
Not terrible but not my thing. Can imagine some great albums have missed out for ones like this - shocking. 2/5
Only exile tops this in terms of stones albums. One of the greatest to ever do it. 4.5/5
An absolute masterpiece. The Beatles at their creative best - what an album. 4.5/5
Can’t say blur have ever really clicked with me - maybe I’ve not give them enough of a go. Obviously some big tunes on this album and did enjoy it overall. 3.5/5
A true pioneer of the jazz scene. Enjoyed it from start to finish so will be delving through his other stuff. 3.5/5
An absolute piece of art. One of the greatest bands to every do it and this is their finest work. Probably the band I’d most like to see live out of everyone - being in the presence of Robert smith would be some experience. 5/5
Proper feel good music. Papa was a rollin stone an obvious favourite on there - great example of how to build up a song. 3/5
Pleasant enough but how can I, as a man, ever sit there and listen to music like this. 2.5/5
Raw punk. A great era of music for sure - can imagine seeing bands like this live would have been some experience. 3.5/5
One of the best albums we’ve had so far. Nick cave lyrically at his peak and probably his best album - no surprise given the involvement of PJ Harvey and Shane Macgowan. 5/5
Not heard of the bloke before but it was a pleasant surprise. Good songwriting and melodies throughout. 3/5
Just don’t do it for me the police. 2/5
Probably the best album on this list so far. One of the most influential bands ever and this is their crowning piece. Simply majestic. 5/5
Struggling to picture the type of person who would listen to stuff like this. An absolute no from me. 1/5
How on earth has this album been included in the top 1000? Dross. 1/5
Gives me mad men vibes. Finlay Tench’s favourite artist so he’s a goat for that alone. 3/5
