Buffalo Springfield Again
Buffalo SpringfieldWow. This is SOOOO far ahead of its time. Blues, funk, rock - all together with Neil’s nasal whine. Absolutely loved it. A buried treasure (for me)

Just fantastic to focus on the whole album. It’s probably the first time I have done so with Hendrix. This album is incredibly cohesive.
The quintessential metal album. I may have first heard the Black Album, but this is where it all started.
Didn’t love this but let’s facet, that’s largely on me. I mean, the guy was the inspiration for Prince!
Really enjoyed this. It felt like the bridge between blues and late-70s funk. Trombone Shorty must have listened to this as a kid!
I struggled with this. Folk has never been my favourite genre. I could hear a similar vocal tone to early Pink Floyd, but not much else rang my (Division!) bell.
Fun to listen to. Seems like it might be a concept album, but a couple of distracted listens didn’t get to the meat of it.
Love the soundscapes - very much my vibe. Only knew them from one vocalist appearing on Massive Attack album.
Hard to believe I’ve not previously heard of this band. Sounds very pre-grunge (despite debuting 10 years later).
Took me by surprise. I always considered Cheap Trick to be boring dad rock, but this album as a really electric energy. Great fun!
You can really hear the blues in this - incredibly brave. Also - an amazing energy comes through the music. It really feels dangerous.
I’m will never like country music. This album seems to consist of every hackneyed cliche that makes me despise the genre. Burn it with fire.
I really tried to enjoy this. However, there was far too much slide guitar and country twang for my liking. No thanks.
This was sublime. Such a contrast to the two country albums I was served (Steve Earle and some hick). Love the elongated tracks. In 2024, this is an amazing contrast. Anyone reading thins should listen to BSatSL on repeat.
I was late to this, but managed to be convinced to give it a listen. It’s such a solid album - but something about it will always be a little off to me. The whole experience is a conundrum.
This is fantastic. Great music, smart-are delivery. Brilliant songwriting. A fantastic find.
I have clear memories of this album being released. It was an absolute revolution- and still holds up in 2024. Love the breakbeats. Need this on vinyl
Funky and fun. I was definitely surprised by this one. Will need to listen more and more to get a sense of what they are doing.
Is this the ultimate coming-of-age album? Aussies didn’t know Brittany, so she was just a sexy starlet with great pop songs. But now, in 2024, this album sits Ian integral part of her journey as an artist.
Fantastic album - filled with blues twangs and fantastic funk. So far ahead of its time.
I had never heard of this band, so lacked the context to understand why it is so highly regarded. It’s clearly very eclectic, and obviously never fully completed. Some great bluesy riffs hidden among the tracks.

This album sounds exactly like a thought it would, except the other tracks aren’t really as good as the one everybody knows. 😂
An absolute stomper. Amazing musical complexity. The gold standard for metal/rock bands to come. And that voice… *shivers*
So glad I listened to this. For as long as I can remember Bob Marley has been background music - at shops and cafes - but never something I’ve sought out and played. Deeply soulful and positive. Loved it.
How is this album 30 years old? Hard to believe this was recorded closer to Sargent Pepper’s than today. Incredible anti-pop with crystal clear production despite all the guitar fuzz. Brilliant.
Fun but kind of silly. David Lee Roth can certainly sing.
An absolute delight. Certainly a bonus to have it pop up on a Sunday!
What a bad bitch. This album hit hard. Loved the lyrics and the ebb and flow of the mood. A fantastic discovery.
Very soulful for an electronic album. Some absolute bangers from my early 30s!
Some classics on here. I get it, but do I love it? No.
A bit of a parallel to Broken English by Marianne Faithful. Sad to hear that, 30 years on, many of the albums themes are unresolved.
Fine. Whatever. Not really my jam.
Smooth and sexy. Greet Sunday listening … and today IS Sunday.
Classic. Massive beats and just enough Snoop.
Such a fantastic album. You can feel the pent-up creativity that moves through the record. Absolutely loved it. Listened to a version with raw cuts of My Sweet Lord and others. These really show how Phil Spector’s production makes songs shine.
Great songwriting. Went well under my radar.
Meh.
Fantastic. As expected the songwriting is divine.
To be fair, I didn’t listen as closely as I might have. It gives me vibes of The Saints (a good thing!).
This blew me away. Such an eclectic sound. The track we all know is the most boring of the lot.
This was great. Definitely need to listen to the entire trilogy.
Perfect for a Sunday! Great timing…
Just an incredible album - both sonically and lyrically. Easily among my top five hip hop albums.
I must have listened to this eight times. I just couldn’t warm to it.
I can definitely hear that inspirations for Radiohead.
The tail end of Coldplay’s importance. I love this album, but totally understand why the band lost its cred.
My God they were incredible. 30 years later the issues still remain…
Just not a fan at all.
