Different Class
PulpDrowning, mishmash of the same sounding songs over again. Feel like Jarvis cocker trying so hard to be Morrissey it hurts. Not for me. 2/5
Drowning, mishmash of the same sounding songs over again. Feel like Jarvis cocker trying so hard to be Morrissey it hurts. Not for me. 2/5
Repetitive songs throughout. Some good tunes on there but too safe in the 80s rock genre. 2.5/5
Good soulful sound and upbeat vibes. Back in the 60s I would have bought this but it doesn't hold up well by today's standards. I feel Burke helped set the tone for others to follow. 3/5
Surprised by this album. Really enjoyed it. Only 1 song would be a skipped. Overall I think it's a very good album with solid songwriting and great musical depth. Look forward to listening to more Gabriel albums.
I wish I liked this. Musically it's great but not a fan of Billy Corgans voice. Can absolutely see why people like them and I can hear other artists have been influenced since this album but I think I missed the boat with the pumpkins. 2/5
Love this! I could listen to this all day. Rays voice and his expression throughout each song is a joy to behold. More of the same please.
Would give this 0 stars if I could. Just noise. I cannot understand why people would like this.
Well I'm glad I never have to hear that again. Painful. I have no idea how this passes as music. It's not artistic, it's just not.
Repetitive and definitely for the time. This is one of those times where the 64 year time difference since the album was originally released certainly shows! The incessant mouth organ in the back ground of every song, in the exact same key is almost borderline torture.
Saddened to realise that this album isn't as good as I had remembered. Turns out nostalgia is a powerful thing. The album is a mixed bag and shows glimmers of something great but too much filler and too many underdeveloped ideas.
Great album. Catchy riffs, clever lyrics and the album takes you down different melodic routes without ever straying too far from the soul/rock elements that gave Weller his unique sound. Found myself getting into this and even had to relisten to certain songs as it felt like a few minutes just wasn't enough. Great.
Not for me. Some nice ideas but not my thing. Did not finish album.
Surprised at this one. Not usually something I'd go for yet I found myself being drawn back to it. Great production, sharp lyrics, catchy hooks. I'm sold. Very impressed.
Good debut album. Shows it's age currently but a solid start for what was to come for Daft Punk.
Difficult to listen to. If it wasn't for the one prince cover then it would be a 1star.
Good solid live album. Love deep purple anyway but musically fantastic
Every song sounds the same. Just cannot get into this music.
Difficult listen this. I feel Costello should have walked away after the 80s. Some interesting guitar pieces and some catchy hooks but it's not of its time and ultimately disappointing from start to finish.
Surprised, impressed and found it enjoyable. I wasn't looking forward to this album but found myself tapping along. Decent
Shite
I understand why this was popular back in 1975 but 50 years on and it's just not holding up. It's inoffensive, friendly funk but it's not for me.
Elton maybe not at his best but just as strong as ever. Poetic, catchy songwriting as is his skill. Melodic and layered.
Chaotic, undisciplined and far too loose. Noisy and disconnected. Maybe good for the rebellious youth of the 70s but not for today.
Musically I really enjoyed it and it's very well produced but the lead singers voice ruins it for me. I can't get passed the aged electronic guitar either. Misses the mark.
Cannot believe just how bad this is. Almost unlistenable. I have nothing good to say
Musically I was very impressed. Think it warrants another listen. Complete change to other music so far and lots to like.
Bored, aged and doesn't age well. Not for me.
Love Sabbath and think I always will. Is it their strongest album, not in my opinion but still amazing.
So disappointed. I was bored from start to finish. Nothing original and from a band I like. Just flat.
Surprised by this record. I totally understand why people got onto this back in 1998. Can see inspiration in bands like Linkin Park etc. I enjoyed it as mad as that sounds.
Why on earth is this here!? Awful.
For film music it's great but for an everyday listen it's a challenge. Middle Of the road for me.
Middle Of the road. Think what they did was clever but not something I'd chose to listen to.
Flat, mundane, boring, uninspired. List goes on
Good but not great. Alot to like and alot to dislike. I can see why the band took off though
A change from 'typical' Blur music. Not my personal favourite but a few good tracks on here. Personally I prefer the album '13'.
Love this man, love his melodic charm, his soulful lyrics and the way he shows his heart whilst still having fun. Underrated
Every song sounds the same
Whilst I appreciate the music and the genre crossing sounds made on this album, I can't get to grips with it.
Start is better than the end with the exception of the Emotions cover. It's a solid RnB/Pop album but not my scene.
Good music but not my scene
I understand why so many people like this and I can see the influences taken from this album. At the time it would have been groundbreaking but it's now a historic album that has been outdone.
Punk influence has this record thrown off for me. Could see how/why people would enjoy it back in the 80s but misses the mark.
Anyone for a poor Mick Jagger cover act with repetitive riffs and lyrics penned by a toddler?? No?....Me neither!!
Great album. Classic riffs with modern licks. Love it
Awful album. Never understood why People enjoy the Ramones
Albums like this test me like never before.
Glam rockers eat your heart out. If you've moved on from glam rock however, then there's not much for you here. Eliminator by ZZ top beats this IMO
Obvious hits aside, this album offers nothing more than generic 80s big hair rock. The hits are timeless and for that reason it notches the score from a 2 to a 3.
Some amazing songs on here and some of McCartney's best but there's also a lot of filler on here that lets it down.
I think they're trying to show music is art here. As with all art, music is subjective and can be viewed in many facets. For me it's far too spacious and open for my liking
Feels like an experiment gone wrong. I felt frustrated throughout this as I believe there could be something really really good here but it's execution is just all wrong for me. Can't help feeling frustrated at what this could have been.
Not for me, painful
3 good songs, rest are awful
Lyrically, musically and productively dreadful. So gets voice somehow gets worse as each track goes on.
Masterpiece from start to finish. Just loved every moment of this album. A must own in my opinion.
Some great tracks but find this to be a 'feeler' album. Can't rub shoulders with other great albums by Radiohead.
One of stipes lesser works. Has so many better albums but not a bad album.
Some great tracks on here but also a lot of filler
Not their best but come on, it's Led Zeppelin.
I understand why this album is important but it's not something I want to listen to
Love aerosmith and this album is great.
One of the greatest albums of all time. Nothing else needs to be said.
