OOOH, first album on, and it's a personal favourite!
Really great, perhaps too heavy for my liking, but definitely opened my eyes to some Queen songs I hadn’t initially considered ‘good listens’.
Very good, very few interesting songs though, different genre to bat im used to
In my opinion; one of the best albums to ever exist.
Not really my taste of music, quite a long album. That being said, a few obvious bangers (Hey Ya!, Roses and The Rooster) and quite comedic interludes (Good Day, Good Sir).
New artist alert, pretty good!
Unearthly, dreamlike, and as the album title suggests: sensual. Classic Kate
Grating voice, nonsensical lyrics. ‘Shatter’ was the best song from this album, because she stopped singing for 3 whole minutes of instrumental bliss.
Sade is such a great artist, can't say I'd listen to this album on repeat (too unvaried and jazz-like), but still a beautiful collection of songs.
Always thought Yeah Yeah Yeahs were a one hit wonder after 'Heads Will Roll', but they're really fun to listen to. Good mix of heavy to soft rock. Favourite: 'Maps' or perhaps 'Date With The Night'.
Is it Electronic? Is it Rhythm and Blues? Is it Jazz? Is it Experimental? Well.. Er, yes? Maybe? I don't know! I'm so confused! Help! Really interesting album... Do I like it? No. Was it a fun listen? Hell yeah! Such weird lyrics though; Barry, what were you smoking when you made this my friend?
Banging. Not sure where my initial review went, but loved the album. 'Pictures Of Home' is a new find! :)
Try to avoid Neil Young where possible, can only really tolerate 'Heart of Gold'. Everything else is just vanilla, boring. Sorry Neil, your name may be 'Young', but your songs get old pretty damn quick.
Coles Corner is a record that is designed to be listened at dusk. It’s a record that is designed for lonely evenings. The kind where there is a vast longing to be filled but you find yourself having no capacity to properly fill it. Listening to the record is like checking into a heartbreak hotel and not quite intending to check out.
Eh, mediocre. Nice instrumental bits though, like upbeat 'hip' elevator music. Nothing special.
Where has this album been my whole life? I LOVED THIS! Peak the Kanye sample.
What a vibe. Had the Strokes on my radar for a while, but never had the excuse to indulge. 'The Modern Age' and of course: 'Someday' are particular favourites from this album.
'Drawn-out' would be the phrase I'd use. Funky and experimental in places, which was fun. But I will be avoiding for the foreseeable future for its length and many-a-headache-inducing song.
Funky and flipping fun, loved it!
I LOVE THIS ALBUM. Didn't realise Johnny Cash did fantastic covers of my favourite songs - all in one album no less! A future vinyl purchase for sure.
Shit. Didn't even listen cause reviews were so bad.
Leonard Cohen's depressing voice makes me smile. Another great album from him.
Not as good as Nevermind, but er- well- hmm- oh never mind. Fun head banging music for people in dire need of a good therapist. Scary cool album cover. Probably wouldn't listen again, one or two catchy songs.
Never heard of 'The Electric Prunes', pleasantly surprised- Animals meet psychedelic rock vibes. Favourite: I Had Too Much to Dream (Last Night).
Hmm, I initially thought Supergrass were one hit wonders... Anddd they still are!
Oooh! Unexpected jazz/blues elements with modern folk stylistics; how surprising, polished and confident. Quite enjoyable!
Taylor Swift is unbearable, but this album has a few ‘tolerable’ nostalgic bangers.
Ah, I really tried to like it, but it's just not MY kind of rock. Sorry Mr Zeppelin.
Damn, that a lotta screaming, hope their throats are okay, but hey, I liked it- kinda!
haha alien noises. Cool album, rediscovered a song I hadn’t heard in yonks!
Sorry 2Pac, I don't get the hype, all sounds the same.
Lovely stuff Paulo, original, timeless.
FUCKING PHENOMINAL ALBUM.
I like Dolly, nice to listen to a country-style album once in a blue moon. However, nothing really that catching.
How can anyone like this music? Can't even hear the lyrics, may as well just be instrumental.
Oh yeah! George Harrison’s solo career is great, I love this album more than I love my future child.
Eh, nothing special here. Sorry Pulp, you’re a one album wonder.
CLASSIC ROCK CLASSIC ROCK CLASSIC ROCK. What a fantastic album.
Boring, nothing special. Prefer Michael.
Nice album Dusty, but didn’t really flow for me.
Funny, the songs with words really didn't do it for me... The ambient, however - totally awesome! The Big Ship is SUCH A TUNE!
Ugh. Iggy you let me down
Loved it! Bit samey in places…
Timeless? Yes. Bloody lengthy? Very much so. Do two sort of cancel each other out? I have pretty mixed feelings.
Smooth Jazz isn't really my thing. Miles Davis is popular for being a timeless artist, but I just didn't enjoy it–felt like elevator music.
AAAAAH CRAZY FUN ALBUM, LEG WAS SHAKING THE ENTIRE TIME! AM I OKAY? PROBABLY NOT.
Had high hopes, after first two absolute bangers the album goes downhill. Very repetitive in my eyes :(
I enjoyed this album. Short n' sweet songs with catchy lyrics. Nothing stood out particularly, but a fun listen!
Maybe one good song, rest is just country waffle.
