First time listening to radio head and I'm not really into rock but I really liked it! I'm not good at describing music so this will be brief but I really loved the melancholic feel to the tracks shown here. It creates a downtrodden vibe that gets you into your feelings. Much prefer the first half than the second half but overall its excellent.
Violator has this weird vibe to it. I wouldn't say its malicious but the beats have this slightly devious tone to them if that makes sense, like they're trying to keep you on your toes. I like the first half over the second half and while the musicians voice is nice to listen to, the album as a whole is more like I'm just listening to the music instead of the lyrics. It's pretty good.
It was a bit of a letdown. I prefer Damon on other projects, his voice is nice but the tracks aren’t my jam. I prefer the ones where the instrumentals are a bit more different and loud, otherwise the tracks don’t excite me.
Not a fan at all. The voice doesn’t work for me. I like the instrumentals but the voice comes on and I drift off and not in a good way. Only a couple of songs I liked, the rest I felt nothing for.
Not a huge fan. It's a hit or miss train with these songs and they often miss more than they hit. Lots of out there instrumentals, sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. Funnily enough I think when they stick to the more traditional songs are the songs I like, although the Marimba stuff is fun.
Short, energetic, and punchy. Trims all the fat so there aren't any skips or the album drags. I like the instrumentals as well, has this killer guitar line. I liked it overall.
I like it. Took a couple of listens for it to grow on me but overall I like the instrumentals and vibe the album produces.
Synchronicity I & II and O My God are my favorite tracks on the album. It's pretty good with nice riffs throughout it. Not a fan of some of the slower songs like Walking in Your Footsteps but overall its good.
Listened to it multiple times and it doesn't quite cut it for me. At times it draws me into its atmosphere but then very quickly pulls me out with how drab the sounds are. Plus some of the songs go on for longer than I want, making it drag on.
Okay I get what all the noise is about the Beatles. They're good and overall the album is really nice. I like the smooth riffs going on and the harmonizing between the voices is nice. Some of the song lyrics hit that sweet spot between being simple enough to understand while also be nuanced enough to make the gears in your brain turn.
Loud. It's sound alright and can be abrasive. However the noises this album generates from its screaming and loud instrumentals creates something quite nice occasionally. I don't think its perfect because the album is bloated and some of the songs meander for too long but the album grew on me overtime.
Yeah it's great. The ambient songs I was less enthused about but playing them while I'm doing something else isn't bad. Other tracks like Blackout are fantastic though. Ironically enough the one song I don't like is Heroes funnily enough. Regardless the album is pleasant to the ear.
Palo Congo is interesting, some of the instrumentals are nice but it often goes too long for my liking.
From optimistic tracks like Octopus Garden to the zanier like Maxwell Silver King, this album does a lot. Some of the songs are misses and can be too soft for my liking but overall I really like the album as a whole. Come Together and Carry That Weight might be my favorites.
Its loud and crass but it really makes you feel its music. When the lead singer really shouts and screams, you can feel every bit of rage coming out of him, it's impressive. I like most of the songs here and even the ones that I didn't add to my playlist I found to be alright. There's not a lot that's bad here and it's got some killer instrumentals. The fact that the lyrics are so simple yet even now hold meaning to current political climate is damn impressive (and sad).
Tidal is very strange, a mix of very high highs and mediocre hills. Some songs I absolutely love and some just don't click for me at all. Not a bad album but one that doesn't quite work for me.
Abstract and zany with a good groove in most of the tracks. Nothing bad to say other than some songs weren't for me.
Some of the songs are very nostalgic for me but after listening to this album I've come to the conclusion that it isn't for me. There are other pop singers/pop albums in modern day that I love and this just isn't that one. Still has some good bobs here and there though.
Violence that becomes cartoonish and a host of personalities that bounce off each other, showing their skill and how raw the sounds are. When I listen to this album all I can think about is don't fuck with the Wu-tang clan.
Nice instrumentals, some of those guitar riffs are pretty great.
Strong start that the rest of the album fails to live up to.
This album grew on me, at first I felt nothing but slowly overtime it got a bit better after each listen. The transition from Without you to Coconut is whiplash, I can't tell if I love it or hate it. Regardless it's got some catchy songs and great singing.
This was a lovely surprise, I’ve never heard from Lou Reed (was shocked he was on plastic beach) but after listening to this album it’s great. I can’t describe it but it’s got a vibe that most albums can’t have, being soulful and just dark enough to take you places.
This was a pleasant shock to the system, I think I would have given it a five but was not feeling "Sex Machine" at all. That second track certainly is something.
Pretty good, really appreciate the worldwide music instead of just UK/USA stuff.
At times it gets to me but very quickly loses my head. Only one song stuck to me, the rest I wasn't a fan of.
Similar to how I feel about vapor air when it touches my skin, it's pleasant but fades all too quickly.
Shit's so good that it makes me want to pick up my saxophone and play.
Grew on me, not bad.
I liked it! Some solid edm tunes here that are fun to listen.
Not a fan whatsoever, felt bored and the songs were repetitive to me. Nothing stuck in my head and by the time it was done I was thankful to get rid of it.
A strong opening but outside of that it didn't really hook me like other albums.
Some fun tunes but overall I feel like it was less then the sum of its parts. Didn't quite make me bob my head.
Some tracks worked but this album is far too long and there's plenty of duds that hamper it.
Some fun tunes but some of those lyrics have not aged well at all
I indeed got the funk
I've listened to a couple of west african albums before and I enjoyed them, this one was a mix bag for me. Some of the songs I loved and others I felt nothing for. Guess that means no matter the culture or language barriers, some music will jive for ya and some won't.
Slog to get through and very dim
Stellar voice with some tracks that I enjoy but overall I didn’t connect with it much.
Excellent, a well-done album overall. Several bangers that stay in your ear with only a few misses here and there.
Its too British for any one person to listen too.
Damon’s voice sucks you into the atmosphere of this album but sometimes the songs only provide that and nothing else. Still some good songs on this.
I remember listening to this a while ago. It’s better on a relisten
At times it grips me and I get it and at other points it loses me, over all not a hip-hop album that I favor.
I'm not a big country person, but that said, this album had some highlights. It helps that it's short, so I can quickly move on from the stuff I really don't like.
