The Suburbs
Arcade FireSounds like an Arcade Fire album.
Sounds like an Arcade Fire album.
Pretty groovy, never really gave them a listen. A bit too 60’s for me to casually listen to. Don’t like their Long Black Veil.
The music is slightly better than the album cover. Good voice but no thanks. Also he’d be cancelled for singing about a “hanging tree”. Meant to be played on vinyl- El Paso on there two times…
This album fucks. I only knew the hits but every song is really good. I think the kids would call her a baddie? I am for sure playing this one again.
I couldn’t get past thinking about the Simpsons bit where they play In-a-gadda-da-vida in church and it lasts hours. The 60’s were wild. I did like Flowers and Beads.
Was vibing to a few of the songs. Sounds a lot like late era Beatles.
Sounds better on CD. This album brings me back. For sure my jam.
Philip Seymour Hoffman voice: “IGGY POP!” A fun rock album. Thought it was going to be a bit more weird.
I’m more of a Naked Delivery guy. I guess they’re good at guitars?
Do you remember the classic 1989 movie Teen Witch, and there’s a rap battle in the streets? That's all I could really think of. https://youtu.be/se7csr5LZgU?si=mZ8NM3T0EJMna_N_ Respect, but no thanks.
Was vibing a bit. Thought this was for sure like late 80’s, ahead of his time.
Fuck yeah. Music IS love.
Settle down, James…. I honestly like most of it besides the singing.
Had to listen to it all day and it finally grew on me, a little. But I just wish I was listening to The Beatles.
Felt like I should be doing a power hour in Kerst. Could have been 5 stars but I felt like just couldn’t connect with the material…
You make that trash first album then you go and do this and totally redeem yourself.
Wore the shit out of this cd back in the day.
Absolute bangers. I had to recreate this album cover on my trip to NYC back in the day.
Loved it.
I love the composition and when he actually sang a little.
Loved it. A lot more rock and roll than I thought it’d be.
I always looked forward to seeing the Honey video on TRL
90’s were the best. Only knew a few songs from this a loved the whole album. Don’t know why I never got into them. Couldn’t find a flaw or weak spot on the album
Sounds like an Arcade Fire album.
I don’t get it
I’m not cool enough to like 80’s punk rock… was into the slower songs a bit.
There’s a reason Coco is my favorite Disney movie. Loved this
Behind the sex tape audio and gun shot sounds there are some serious jams here.
I’m sure at the right venue with the right drugs this would be great.
Too depressed to get into this album
He’s very dramatic… but didn’t hate it.
Fun fact, I walked out of an Allman brothers concert when I was younger. Can take only so many guitar solos.
Pretty good
Jack Elliot > BDMR. Loved the explanations for every song. Didn’t know he wrote Dinks song.
Short and sweet. Solid.
No thanks
“Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me, you won’t get fooled again” George W. 4 bangers on this album.
