i saiD I LOVE THE SMITHS
11/30/2023 - it was a rainy November day and my neighbour/friend died upstairs. People were in & out of my apartment all day, sirens blaring non stop. I'd been staring at the wall for hours. My LCD Soundsystem tickets that night seemed like a selfish idea given the timing but I still went. I needed something so incredibly loud that I couldn't hear my own thoughts. Someone Great comes on and I just start sobbing in my boyfriend's arms, in a room full of people who didn't notice. It's something I'll always remember. I wish that we could talk about it, Emilio </3

"Singer and guitarist Tjinder Singh described the recording process as "very intense. There was a lot of smoking going on, it was a very relaxed time, and very enjoyable all the way through. At the end, our engineer had to go for medical assistance. He got freaked out. He smoked so much and then he stopped and he went loopy. He was on medication. His body couldn't take it."

idk how to describe it but this reminds me of the time I was waiting for the G at 830am on a thursday, the platform was empty except a guy blasting "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart" by Al Green on his radio and everyone else just silently nodding and enjoying it. Brooklyn man!
Today I learned that "like we always do it this time" from Kanye's Good Life is a nod to The Chronic (intro) 🤯🤯🤯
obviously the bruce springsteen album to include in 1001 albums to listen to (i am being sarcastic)
Go watch Love & Mercy for this album's lore but also a heartbreaking performance by Paul Dano!
