Good memories of this album when it came out but doesn't hold up to its peers or some of their later work. My personal favorite of theirs is the second album. I do still enjoy "Big Me" and "Exhausted".

Not my cup of tea. I also don't love when an album is too much directly about its influences. But maybe it's over my head. Obviously she is an amazing singer and if you enjoy nonstop vocal runs, go for it!

I like the vibe and the lyrics more than the actual music. A bit too improvisational for me, but I like noise and distortion as much as the next guy. I'm sure it's influential and "important" but I'm not going to be putting it on for basic enjoyment.

I'm not actually a fan of Prince but I can recognize the artistry and talent involved. I love how it sounds stripped down but still solid.
