Fleet Foxes
Fleet FoxesPretty, but this is a classic “background noise vinyl” record for me. The songs sound great but don’t move me in any particular way. White Winter Hymnal is still a banger.

Hyper polished but in the best way. The deep cuts are also great here. Not a note out of place.
This has a lot of elements that I like and is clearly influential to so many artists I love but I can’t get over how grating Patti’s voice sounds to me and how much I hate her vocal rhythm and inflection choices
A really nice, pleasant, “background vinyl” album. I feel similarly about this as I do the fleet foxes album.
So much of this album is like Motley Crue 10 years ahead of its time, until the latter half with a really fun ragtime turn. Didn’t expect to like Queen’s deep cuts this much, though a lot of it is instrumental acrobatics that undercut the songwriting, especially in the front half.
Really great pop album. The “icy” vocal effects are cool and felt influential, inspired a lot of other artists. This was antonoff production IIRC.
Not like a “pleasant listening experience” but the playing here absolutely shreds. Drums and guitar whip ass.
This is fine but tbh this kind of sludgy mid tempo alt rock from the early 90s doesn’t really do it for me. If the melodies don’t hit like Weezer’s blue album then idk what I’m supposed to feel here.
I understand why this is a classic. Really enjoyed it.
Really cool, obviously influential. Casually fun to listen to but not like a blast by any means.
Beautiful, funky, sonically adventurous. Especially the instrumental work. The constant falsetto vocal became a bit overbearing eventually.
Fun, pleasant, not a classic but better than expected
Obviously morrissey and marr get the attention but the rhythm section is super underrated
Exceedingly listenable. Might need to listen again to see if it’s actually memorable but it is just effortlessly pleasant which is an accomplishment in itself. This guy is a douche tho
This didn’t really do anything for me
Something different, I enjoyed the change of pace
Just a classic. The platonic ideal of this sound.
Obvious why the hits are the hits. They’re bangers but everything else is forgettable.
Interesting but not enjoyable
Challenging but very affecting. I won’t listen regularly but glad I did at least once.
This is fine as background work music. I understand it was also very technically influential but doesn’t necessarily hold up as an interesting modern listening experience.
Was probably super influential to Lin Manuel Miranda
Just obviously the best rock musicians in the world at that time
It’s a classic! Love it
