The Isley BrothersGlad I listened. However, seemed to be jazzed up versions of previous hits.

This was long a staple at our house. Perfect rainy weather album to get some things done. Also makes a great driving record.
What a highschool throwback for me. Listening today I had a reminder of each song as a new discovery.
I feel like I should appreciate this album more than I have. Seems like I have heard better covers of these same songs elsewhere. The Long Black Veil cover seemed to be more to be of bar band cover that something more from this group.
Here is a good case that being trapped to the whole number rating gives me pains. For personal impact, this is totally a 5. Relistening in today's context this is really a 4. I still have fond memories of listening to this upon my "cool" cousin's statement that he "was really into the early REM catalog", when Automatic for the people came out.
Great album. I remember being introduced to this by a roommate with the phrase "you never heard the Stone Roses Rose..."
Was not ready for this one. Listening, I feel like I had just taken 3 shots of Fireball, and desperately needed a palate cleanser. Intellectually, I see where they are going with this album, but I am just not cool enough to appreciate.
Ah Steely Dan. XM Radio Channel 27 - The Bridge. Mellow Classic Rock. Listening I need to put on my full dad outfit; cargo shorts, white socks, white new balances, local sports team cap, and go mow the lawn.
This was a nice change of pace. Made good background music to read through papers.
Actually got to do two laps on this one. Not hitting as strongly as it did when I first heard it. That may be to the Kayne influence not aging well, or the fact that John Mayer was involved, just not getting the same feels as I did as a younger man.
I remember being disappointed with this one when it first came out. There are a couple of highlights, but as an album it does not hold a candle to Funeral.
Been talking about summer camp experiences this past week. This hit just right in timing. I am fairly sure we sang most of these at camp including "illegal smile" (episcopal church camp). While the song writing is classic, I cannot give 5 stars for production.
I feel like this is one of those albums that is always at the top of the list of "greatest". Hard to fault, but there are a few fillers that keep it from 5 stars.
The AI bots must be listening to honor Brian Wilson. This is an album I would not put on on a whim. However, each time I do, I am amazed with the production and themes. Classic.
What a perfect Friday album. As soon as "Immigrant song" hit, I was ready to gas up the car, pack the cooler, and hit the road. This is the perfect road trip album. Well done.
I would not put this as my top Radiohead Album, but this sure is a good one. I remember arguing with my friends how much I should give when this first came out. I gave $10, btw.
Not cool enough for this one. I kept looking down and realizing this is still going. Felt like 8 different versions of the same song. Nonetheless, you got to give their drummer some.
