You can tell it had some influence in post punk and no-wave at the end of the 80s, that bass is really cranked up and the drums hit really hard, just a shame that a lot of this is uninteresting to me, many songs seem to blow by because they just repate the same elements and the lyrics are rather ambiguous or non-sensical, not that either are really a problem on their own but the execution here makes a couple of this songs bland despite how loud and agressive they are. On top of that, it's really long, and the most interesting and experimental cuts on here seem to be the shortest. Good album, but i don't love this.
Soft and nice Jazz, very sweet but repetitive album, i would be glad to re -listen sometime, but it's role might be more backround than fron page.
a-weema-weh, a-weema-weh, a-weema-weh, a-weema-weh
snowblind it's an amazing song
it's all heavy in a way, a lot of softness is lost from his previous work for a bluesier/rockier sound, doesn't mean i dislike it though, this has some great songs on it.
It dug a hole in my ears, i'd do it again
Cool pop 80s album, some bangers, some bores here and there, but still left me with a good expression, i'd just come back for the hits, though
Welcome to the jungle kinda gets a star by itself.
Wow, this is a really cool one, just found out how important Czukay was for crafting can's iconic sound, i used to remember damo as the face of can, but this man really had some special gifts when it came to melody and rythm, that he just stole that spot for me. There might be a couple of odd moments in these large compositions that throw me off a little, but im nothing short of amazed by this, i should re-listen to it soon, because it fucking rocks.
PERFECT SOUL ALBUM ISAAC HAYES WAS SOOOOO AHEAD OF HIS TIME. Monumental and instrumental piece to understand contemporary r&b and soul music. 10/10 NO NOTES
GOODNIGHT I HAVE WORK
It's just take on me, the rest is really uninteresting, it doesn't get the job done in terms of quality or consistency.
IM GONNA RE-LISTEN THE HELL OUT OF THIS ALBUM
so warm, so lovely, makes me want to do stuff just for the sake of it, amazing
It must've been a crazy experience to see these shows live, and you can really tell the type of energetic beast he was in the 70s, but that gets a little lost for me because i find most of his repertoire to be a little one dimensional, though it must've really worked amazingly when played live, or even in video, like when he did caravan on the last dance. But overall, as an album, and even a live album, it doesn't get me as excited as i think i should be, though a lot of songs DO work and slap regardless of the context, most of it it's just cool, and enjoyable, but nothing too crazy.
Great live album, really, this was the last dance, and they went out with a big one, such a banger setlist of lesser known/cover songs that really put into perspective where the band's evolution and stardom had led them to, pure and unfiltered introspection, emotion and passion, the last burst of nirvana's short-spanned flame is forever pictured in this stripped back concert, that manages to sound bigger and more layered than it ever should have the right to, this concert shouldn't have gone as well as it did, and as we now know, the reasons it did, were the signs of the sudden end for the spark that made nirvana special in the first place.
I think it's length plays against it, and it doesn't do it for me like some of my favourite works of him, still a lyrical jewel.
Cool pop rock album, definitely has it's moments like i can't sleep, there she goes and looking glass.
Yes, i still like rock & roll jeff tweedy
i didn't fully get it, but it might grow on me, or inside me (?)
CoooooooOooOoooooooOooOoooOOOOOOOOooool shit
fuck it, totally different from what the cover and title made me think it would sound like lmao
Everything blues in this os straight up perfect, the rockier cuts still hit though, loved this!
She be sounding like Michael Jackson sometimes fr
Oh this is Weiiiiird, i never thought the police would sound like this in a full album listen, i really liked this
damn was he nice
that cover on Norwegian Wood is funny asf
though it's prog sensibilities make me want to like it more, this is really a product of it's times and that's okay, but im not crazy about it
This one is pure vibes, ngl i love that.
a little too clogged imo
peak dylan without a doubt
she's so goated man
