This one was OK. Always makes me wanna dance, but I often find the lyrics a little lacking

As rockin as Money For Nothing, is this album is mostly like a fusion album that touches on a bunch of different genres. Pretty chill, kind of spacey. Lyrics aren't anything to write home about. It was all right!

I think I hated everything about this record: the lyrics are cloying and immature and sexist, the arrangements are often boring or poorly mixed, and I don't like Scott Walker's voice. I didn't like this record, and I probably won't listen to it again
Love the Talking Heads! Not my favorite album by them, but the beats are always fun to dance to and David Byrne is always a thoughtful lyricist
I really like this record! I love the punchy guitar parts (lots of great guitar writing in general). The lyrics are honest and sincere. Reminds me of Television, The New Pornographers, even The Kinks!

Maybe my favourite Led Zeppelin album. Lots of killer guitar stuff, amazing vocals. A cohesive unit of a band at the top of their game. Easy 5.
Kickass hiphop beats. Basically all beats and samples; no verses, some choruses. 90s-2000s vibes all over. Sounds like The Matrix soundtrack, inspite of having 0 songs on the OST.

Lovely '60s record! Great vocal harmonies, great core band stuff. Obviously California Dreaming is a classic, it's worth checking out just for that!
What beautiful album. He's a gracious, honest, and thoughtful lyricist, and his arrangements are simple but lovely.
Noisy, electronic, terrifying; a nightmare in music form. Tape recordings of voicemails and phone conversations, drones, echoes, long repetitions, lack of any melody. Not a bad record, but I wouldn't listen to it again. I gave a short listen to their record 20 jazz funk greats, and I liked that immediately more than this, so don't sell this band short!
Bob Dylan ain't much of a singer, but boy can he ever write a song. Truly excellent lyricism start to finish. Pretty good guitar and harmonica work as well!
Great record! Not usually big into instrumental/jazz music, but this is full of great melodies, awesome solos, and thoughtful harmonies.
Listened to Home Is Where The Music Is by Hugh Masekela just before this. 40~ years difference, but some very similar music styles and instrumentation! Instrumental Jazz, with musically African influences. I liked it!
Cinnamon Girl is a great song, and I mostly like Neil Young, but there's a little too much guitar noodling on this record for my taste. The other songs aren't much to write home about, but they're nice enough. Good background album
So many great songs, great features, great verses... I wish Kanye could hear this record now, remind himself what's important. Until then, he's a nazi, and there's no getting past that.
Trippy, space-y down tempo rock! Cool vocals, laid back vibe. Seamless transitions, sort of prog rock elements to the album's composition. Not bad!
Brooding, dark, but good! Simple songwriting-centered music, compared to the kind of hair metal and electric guitar stuff that was being done at the time.
I mean, I knew Janis Joplin was a great singer, but I'd never taken the time to really immerse myself, and she's just incredible. Great backing band, very tight, but the focus is her heart-rending, blues-filled performances. Just great track after great track, there's a reason why she's a legend.

Beautiful singer-songwriter music! Fingerpicking acoustic guitar stuff, sparse arrangements, impactful lyrics. Some of the guitar parts I really like, but this kind of downtempo music is something that I rarely listen to nowadays.
Pretty weird record! Definitely from the '80s: lots of keyboards, wavy guitars brooding vocals... pretty interesting arrangements! Feels pretty experimental and jazzy at times
Pretty fun record! So e days I really like Elvis Costello, other days I really don't... But today I liked it! Core band songwriting is great, feels like a cohesive album, Allison and Watching the Detectives are highlights.
Maybe my favourite Bowie record! The horn lines, the string arrangements, the songwriting, the lyricism, the guitar riffs, the vocals... Love it back to front. Easy 5

Moody, but dance-y! Melody focused guitar writing. Sounds like either drum machines that sound like kits, or kits inspired by drum machines, or both! Ambient, even prog at times. Good stuff!

Love Peter Gabriel, really like Phil Collins, even really like The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway. This album was a little much: songs are rather noodle-y, and rather long. Lots of playing with odd time signatures and showing off in general, as prog is want to do. Lyrics are pretty good!
Really cool protogrunge record! Great lyrics great guitar riffs songs that don't overstay their welcome. I will have to revisit this album but I think it's a five star!

Wild! 15 minutes for the first 6 songs, 20 minutes for the last song! Baroque rock, very flowery and orchestral, with lots of different genres fused. I think albums like this are a little much, but I did enjoy it!
Super chill RnB. Heartbroken lyrics, sultry saxophone lines, groovy percussion arrangements, funky guitar... Very relaxing, and groovy, but also sad and longing. Wonderful!
What a great songwriter! I like lyrics that are clear and concise, and Billy Joel's are often just that. Fun melodies, great instrument lines, unforgettable riffs and sax lines. Interesting that the theme to The Stranger comes back one more time at the end. Makes it almost feel like a concept album. Great stuff!
Very cool post punk album! Some of the shortest songs I've ever seen on a record, a lot of them being 30 seconds - 2 minutes. Shimmering guitars, grunge vocals, blown out production. Passionate!
God I loved this record when it came out, still hits hard. Grimey, aggressive synths over bare backing tracks, it still feels like a record from the future. Kanye is a nazi though, so 1 star

One of my favorite concept albums, The Kinks knock it out of the park as songwriters over and over again. Really beautiful, funny, cheeky, and sincere. Great lyrics, lots of different flavours of songs to be had.

U2 have been around so long I forget sometimes that they are an "80s band", but you hear that influence all over this record; moments where they sound like a New Wave band, where they sound like The Clash! Great band work on this record: driving drums, compelling guitar lines, and Bono's voice is top-notch as always
Really interesting record. Moody, brooding, but surprisingly danceable. Ian Curtis adds a unique voice. The core band work is understated, but effective.

Contemplative, dark, heavy, beautiful. Not a record I would turn on again, but if you like a Television + Nirvana kind of sound, this record is very worth checking out.
