Hms Fable
ShackI feel like I'm in a 90s quirky rom-com. A little curious if they sound a bit derivative or if they're one of the first of this type of...alt? britpop? I like the nautical sea shanty parts.

As a teen, Where is my mind was everywhere, but the first time i heard gigantic is when i noticed the pixies and its still a favorite on this album, mostly because of Kim Deal's vocals. On the flip side, Where is my mind sounds pretty different from the album, but it's hard to come at it when it's so familiar. Favorites: Gigantic, River Euphrates.
I think it takes me some effort to listen to jazz, or like, sometimes not have it fade into the background. I liked Minor Chant a lot but I wonder if that's because it finally registered midway through the album.
bland, unremarkable except for the discomfort I feel with Bono's voice.
Shining Star is such a high energy start, and then go into just...good groove.
This album mostly proved that some music just needs to be experienced live.
I bet this is great in a stadium. Just fun all around.
epic. Fun. I liked the first half better perhaps.
I was in Oasis as a teen. Live Forever was absolutely something to listen to when you were in the throes in your bedroom. Anyways, I don't know that it's aged well as an entire album for me. The second half was not nearly as fun as I remember.
I really don't like this album cover so I have avoided this album. There's all these great openings in this songs and then it doesn't pan out into a song I like fully. The guitar can be fun and then kind of looses it's edge.
I liked this a lot more than I thought. No misses and a real fun time all the way through. Suffragette City is such a banger by the end in context.
3.5 Fun. Probably monumental for its time. Certainly the cover looks modern it's used so much. But gets pretty repetitive there. I like let's dance.
I did not like this one. I hate the dudes voice. Every so often there would be something I liked, but then the song was a minute long and it ended. Not for me
I really liked this one. A little anxiety inducing, but not a bad one to listen to when you're doing work or walking.
I wanted this to be like modern english but it didnt quite hit the same. more boring.
Prince is still just not quite for me. I want more punch somehow.
Love this album. Wild is the wind was a lot to me in my early 20s.
different fun their last, but still fun
I love this. It's like...parlor country. Feels like Julee Cruz, not out of place in a David Lynch movie in some songs.
The amount of energy sustained in this performance is wild.
3.5 I like this one a lot more than their other one. More kind of guitar energy. I like Atomic Punk. Still don't love the voice, but it was an interesting time period of really promoting straight men's sexuality and desirability.
Pretty fun! Bias for that song from Clueless, but it's definitely a fun kind of summer album. Movie music.
I love thirteen as a song and have for a long time, but it really is so different from the rest of the album
Starting off with Running up that hill is a banger of a choice. love jig of life
surprisingly controlled
Most of all though, i love this cover. But it's a fun cruising album too.
Hit and miss. Another one of those male singing voices I don't like, like they're just powering through it.
super different from how i think of them. not my fav
Actually loved this. Especially the run with Rococo and the ones after. It's very nostalgic, jangly, danceable and earnest. 3.5 though, it was a little too long.
I liked it.
actually really love this. A nice earnestness, feels like the fun hip-hop albums from before 9/11
bumping.
Such a bop and high energy, but i think as a whole album, it starts sounding very similar. But I feel like i'm not listening to it as it was meant to be listened to.
