Sounds like the doors, with the harpsichord or whatever. Also a little too much flute. Guys voice and the flute got pretty annoying, and album ended with an 18 minute song that was not good. I wonder if psychedelic rock is not for me.

Ok, had some good parts but not really for me. Not as good as To Pimp A Butterfly.
The guitar is really fun. I don’t think I’ll seek it out, or listen outside of the hits I already know. Definitely nothing lyrically to grab me.
Really good, lots of interesting sounds. Will definitely be listening to again. A little on the slow side at times, and I’m not sure if other Flaming Lips records sound similar to this one.
Really raw, really dense. Good but the type that probably takes some time to get into.
This was good but nothing really grabbed me… and it went on far too long, with the last 5 or so tracks just instrumentals.
9 songs in 65 minutes…. Why so dense? Such a boring record. “One” is an ok song, the rest just all sounds like a guitar chugging the exact same chord repeatedly.
His voice is grating but most of the songs are really fun so it’s worth it. Probably not something you’d listen to all day every day.
Pretty boring. Not much else to it. Wasn’t offensively bad, just wasn’t good either. Didn’t think it was “speed metal” but I guess I wouldn’t know.
Started with a bang but was hard to get into for much of the middle. Liked it a little more towards the end but feel like with a better base of Rolling Stones music I’d appreciate it more.
This was really good, though not really my thing. Better than most radio R&B, not sure why this isn’t more popular. Not poppy enough I guess.
It’s fine. BB King can sing, but the music is kind of whatever otherwise. This is a hard one to rate - there’s nothing I dislike about it, and nothing I enjoy either.
Pretty good, haven’t listed to this since college.
I guess this must be very early rock and roll because this was mostly piano and horn instruments, which doesn’t exactly sound like rock and roll to me. The first half sounded like department store music. I was bored. The 2nd half was better but not by much.
Don’t love his voice but it’s not as bad as I expected. Very 60s. The faster, more upbeat songs are sort of annoying with the 60s harpsichord or whatever it is but the slower songs aren’t bad.
Lyrically this guy is a depraved lunatic. It’s more rock and roll than the other Tim Buckley album (Goodbye and Hello), and better as a whole, but nothing all that catchy. Lyrics were pretty distracting.
This is instantly better than And Justice For All. This music has way more variety, and I’m surprised to say I liked it.
Really surprised how much I liked this. Felt like a noisier version of lofi or something I could listen to while working.
I recognized way more of these songs than I thought I would. It’s pretty good, though I wonder if I’ve heard it enough that it’s not unique anymore.
Both of these guys have annoying voices. And it’s like a folk country sound. Pretty bad. Oh god.
I don’t think I really get Beck. A good song here and there and I feel like I can tell that it’s well done, but it’s just not for me. Maybe his other albums are better.
This was fine. Not my style and not much to catch me.
It’s a fun album. Good but other than the singles I already know, I think it’s pretty average.
It’s a tough listen because the vocals have rough accents. The first song was good, and I can definitely hear the influence on other rock music, but it’s probably not something I’d want to hear again. 7 songs at an hour and fifteen minutes long is just too dense. Ok no - this got so much worse for the last 3 songs. The first of the three was fine, sounded like it’d fit in a videogame but was 17 minutes long. The second was absolute shit, random piano and literal gibberish screaming. I can’t give this a passing grade after that.
Definitely better than Exile. Sympathy and Street Fighting Man were favorites. A few bluesy folksy songs that weren’t my jam but it’s worth relistening to.
Pretty meh… I can see how it may have been influential but if it came out in 2003 or whatever I would think it’s beyond that point and was influenced, not influential. Pretty boring.
Way better than expected and worth listening to again.
Axl’s voice is annoying… it’s a decent album but the best songs are already famous, there’s nothing new here.
I can hear the influence directly from Sex Pistols so I’m not sure why this one is considered influential…. Even his voice is similar (but worse). Mostly not great. TV Party is hilarious though.
This was good. Nothing amazing, but I think the songs that are hits are probably some of the worst on the album.
Nothing is super catchy but this was a solid album. Really like that every song was pretty up tempo.
Fine, Tiny Dancer is the best and first song though so kind of a bummer.
A really good album that I own and have listened to yet don’t really recognize.
Thought this would be awful but it’s a million times better than the fucking Louvin Brothers.
This was fine. About what I expected as far as funkiness. It’s almost humorous.
This was fine, maybe it was the only stuff that sounded like this in the 80s because I know the smiths are pretty popular. Nothing special to me though.
Started strong then ended up just kind of sounding spooky like the depeche mode I imagine. Pretty average.

Pretty whatever I guess. Nothing offensive but nothing I really enjoyed.
This is a tough one to rate. It’s all instrumental, so I can’t think of a scenario where I’d really want to listen to it. But I also really enjoyed it.
Solid rap album. Might listen again? Tough to say.
Easy 5 star
Despite my hate for Def Leppard I have to admit there are a couple good songs on here. They’re just surrounded by shit.
This was pretty good, but there weren’t any amazing songs. Just fine all the way through.
Great start to finish.
Another one in which it wasn’t bad, but just wasn’t anything that’d I really enjoyed. Tutti frutti is the first song and probably the best, which is not a good sign.

Fine? Instrumental jazzy african music that was good but won’t listen to again.
Fine I guess. Sort of videogame-y, mostly instrumental. Not sure prog-rock is my jam. The concept of a music adaptation of an art exhibit is interesting though.
This was fine… started strong and ended weak. Was never really a listen again type though.
Calling this punk is kind of crazy…. Maybe influential but not punk. I didn’t love it but I didn’t hate it.
Well Frank Zappa sure is weird, but not I bad way, at least on this album. Probably not worth listening to twice, but interesting to hear once.
At first it reminded me of when I used to listen to more metal leaning rock but it got old fast. I’m just not really into it, though I think their later stuff might be easier for me.
I really like some of this… I’m tempted to give it four stars and listen a few more times but with a new album each day it’s tough unless it’s reallllllyy good.
Pretty good, a little too long to stay engaged with.
A weird one for sure. Glad I listened, unlikely that I listen again.
This was good, but not great.
