PixiesToo long, outstays its welcome. Nowhere near as good as Surfer Rosa. Some great tracks, too much filler.

Bit bland at times. Very 90s.
Best tracks (in order of greatness) Car thief Looking down the barrel of a gun Shadrach Hey Ladies Egg man Shake your rump B-Boy Bouillabaisse: Stop that train B-Boy Bouillabaisse: AWOL It's a 5 star album, one of the best, and the best thing is, they followed it up with 2 more great albums, just like Stevie Wonder did in the 70s.
1983 I forgot how good that ttack was.
There is not a bad track on here. There is a quietness to all of the tracks, it is a low-key masterpiece. I haven't listened to it fully in years (it's Aug 2025) and it is as good as I remember, it has not dated. Even though 'Everybody Hurts' has it's own life outside the album, within it, it sounds just fine.

2nd half of the album is better, from Synchronicity II onwards. 1st half is pretty bad. I wouldn't want to listen to this album again.
Well, this is going to be a tough listen Really not my thing Jump is great.
Yes! No. Very dated sonically and lyrically. A few good tracks but overall, outstays it's welcome.
Yes yes yes a fucking genuine classic after a few days of shit oicks. Played it to death, still sounds amazing 30 years later. A top 10 album of all time for me personally.
Nice! It has one if the best opening tracks of any album 《sunken waltz》 So many beautiful tracks, like Quattro, Across the wire and more upbeat Latin fused tracks like Guero Canelo. Loved this album for years. The 20th anniversary edition has a lovely cover of 'Alone again or', which respects the original that Love created, without being a clone.
Never heard of this one. Very 90s jazz chill
One of my all time favourites! Monster sounds dated now, though it was one of my favourites when it first came out. So Appalled and Devil in a new Dress are also weaker than the rest. Runaway 10/10 Hell of a Life 10/10 Gorgeous 10/10 All of the lights 10/10
YESSSSSSSS!!!!!! It's beautiful.
Interesting. Never heard of this one before.
A pleasure. Jersey Girl On the Nickel Ruby's Arms
Bits were good Bits meandered
Wow! Pleasantly surprised. Let the girl be with the girls Stay hungry Thank you for sending me an angel There are touches of velvets, garage rock and funk and its very enjoyable.
It's just not my cup of tea
First half ok Second half not Too many slots Too self indulgent
'Typical Girls' is the best thing on the album. I understand it is an important album, but I just don't find it listenable.
Loved the big beat / mid 90s sound. Some of it is a bit bland, some of it is great. Never listened to it before but was surprised how good it was. Love the cover art!
2+2=5 is such a classic Radiohead track, and a great opener. It would be a good fit for OK Computer. After that it goes downhill fast. At 14 songs, it outstays it's welcome with too much plodding and wailing. The last 6 songs, from There, There to A Wolf at the Door offer some relief, but overall it is an album I have never been able to enjoy, and listening to it today only confirms my opinion. Luckily they followed this album up with the brilliant In Rainbows.
6 great tracks (then opening 5 tracks and the final track, Speedway). Never listened to a Morrissey album all the way through since Viva Hate in 1988. I probably will not listen to this again, but i will revisit some of the tracks.
Starts strong, midway is awful. Last 4 songs are strong. It is of its time but that's not a bad thing. Some tracks I will listen to again.
Some classics, a little filler but, overall, beautiful.
I can hear The Strokes!
Loved this in 95! Excited to hear it again. Leave Home is possibly one of the great tracks ones of any debut album, and then to follow that with In Dust We Trust secures this albums status as an all time 90s classic. Cover art is timeless, classic 👌.
Ugh. Too busy. Too dated. Too samey. Ended up listening to the first 10 seconds of.most songs and moving on.
Wasn't looking forward to listening to this but it was better than I expected. I stuck to the original 6 track LP but also listened to some of the expanded version.
Thought i was going to hate this, but just kije 'More songs about buildings and food' (Talking Heads) i am very pleasantly surprised. I love it, there are no bad tracks on thus album and it's a solid 4 out of 5.
