Popular Reviews

With The Beatles by Beatles

Dare I say it, but it’s distinctly average.

Tuesday Night Music Club by Sheryl Crow
Oct 12 2025

My first generated album and it’s a classic. Don’t think I’ve listened to it in full since my teens though. There’s more to it than just ‘All I Wanna Do’. It’s emo meets country!

Fred Neil by Fred Neil
Oct 14 2025

Not really for me. Tried to listen to the full album but at 2 1/2 hours it’s hard work.

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Oct 16 2025

Interesting experimental release from Albarn and Dan the Automator but some of the album, but some of the tracks miss the mark.

The Doors by The Doors
Oct 17 2025

First heard Break on Through in Tony Hawk Pro Skater and although the Doors have been an influential band, I feel that the hallucinogenics probably was a big factor in their success.

GREY Area by Little Simz
Oct 18 2025

Not really my bag but I can see why Little Simz won a Mercury. Some of the album was just way too grime(y)!

Smash by The Offspring
Oct 19 2025

Off to see the Offspring next month. Seminal album for me and partly shaped my punk rock future 😀

Vauxhall And I by Morrissey
Oct 20 2025

Although a pretentious bellend, he can write a decent song or two.

Damaged by Black Flag
Oct 23 2025

Influential punk

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Oct 24 2025

Classic influential album with a couple of fillers but otherwise phenomenal

With The Beatles by Beatles
Oct 25 2025

Dare I say it, but it’s distinctly average.

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Oct 26 2025

Really interesting to hear Busta being showcased.

American Idiot by Green Day
Oct 27 2025

It's probably one of my most listened to albums anyway so didn't go back to it. It's currently standing the test of time with the state of politics in the UK and the US. In addition, a great musical if you haven't seen it.

Rust In Peace by Megadeth
Oct 28 2025

Although not really my typical genre. Loved the guitar work, but the vocals really aren’t for me.

The Visitors by ABBA
Oct 29 2025

Although no classics, this is still a fine demonstration of their appeal

Ocean Rain by Echo And The Bunnymen
Oct 30 2025

The Killing Moon is a great song but the rest of the album I fortunately doesn’t have anywhere near the same impact.

Nov 01 2025

It’s a shame that you can’t do 0.5 add ons. More 3.5 than 3. Easy listening.

Youth And Young Manhood by Kings of Leon
Nov 02 2025

Redneck rock before they sold out to become a glorified boy band

White Light / White Heat by The Velvet Underground
Nov 17 2025

Thank god I didn’t listen to the deluxe version. Absolutely horrible. You must have to be high AF to think this is decent.

American Beauty by Grateful Dead
Nov 20 2025

Was expecting a lot more from this album, but it’s just twangy country. Not even that psychedelic.

Nov 22 2025

Not really heard much Aphex twin but really enjoyed that after some utter tripe recently.

Entertainment by Gang Of Four
Nov 23 2025

Punk with funky baselines
