Bad Company by Bad Company

i mean obviously it’s a perfectly good record, it just didn’t move me in any way at all.

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Oct 12 2025

one of the most interesting openers i’ve ever heard. as expected great guitar playing, impressed by the drumming. Very interesting soundscape, surprising and unique at every turn. great use of stereo audio. 70s bowie (especially. zigged stardust) seems very reminiscent of the 60s hendrix sound (especially in songs like castles made of sand). i fear this album might become to me what pet sounds was to paul mccartney.

The Next Day by David Bowie
Oct 14 2025

a little bored, drifting; my absent mind surely boils down to a long exhausting day (at least in part) but i can’t find myself to be moved in a big way.

Oct 16 2025

perfect album for a misty autumn afternoon. a little bit of a hazy, tired, soft feeling seems to surround it. it melts into itself again and again.

Oct 23 2025

this is so much longer than it needs to be? idk i always really liked waterloo sunset and lola and so i assumed the kinks were good? this ain’t it tho.. they took all of mccartneys whimsy but none of his cleverness (while evoking his style in susannah‘s still alive)

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash

what this experiment has taught me is that i am in fact obsessed with johnny cash. i don’t think i’ve heard a single cash song that i didn’t like so far. a genuine delight every time.

i’m not sure what to rate this as - to me the whole album sounds like being fourteen years old and going through it…i still love adele’s voice and generally like her songs, but i can’t tell for certain whether this is actually a good album or not-3 stars for now because i got a little melancholic and confused.
