Classic Bob Dylan. Authentic blues, and he’s just ripping that harmonica for like 60% of the album.
Started off hot (ah hah hah hah) then half-way through just became fairly generic 90's rock. Porcelain was a nice change of pace, I just felt that it could have been better executed and it frankly did not really flow with the album.
Favorite song: Parallel
Had some vibey songs for sure, Jim Morrison's waxing poetic at times was great, and then sometimes was frustrating to hear because the backing track wasn't being done justice.
Favorite song: Back Door Man
Smoooooooth. Groovy and just a good time overall. Kanye shows up a couple times and kills it.
Favorite Track: The Food
THERE’S A STARMAAAAAAN
favorite track: starman (duh)
Don’t get me wrong I love you Frank but this album felt like a Christmas album without any of the Christmas. Every song was sort of the same.
Favorite Track: Old Devil Moon
rhythm nation is the correct name for this, electro-woozy soundscape that encapsulates the late 80's/early 90's. Some of the lyrics are eeeeh I will say.
favorite track: Escapade
tbh. Expected better from THE Rolling Stones.
Favorite: You gotta move
Goofy album but I really enjoyed it. Moog Raga was so silly I don’t think I’ve laughed like that at a song before.
Favorite track: Get to You
Acoustic guitar goes crazy, all time goat instrument.
Favorite Track: Longer Boats
Straight villain music
Favorite Track: Nothing
Started off strong, kinda melded together by the end.
Favorite track: Failure
This dude is confused asf
Favorite Track: Inner City Blues
I get it it’s Elton John but this dude just talks over basic ass guitar for 7 minutes a song. Maybe my dopamine receptors are fried but I found this album truly boring.
BANGERRRRR
Just straight fire all the way through
Favorite Track: welcome to the jungle (shoutout AP lang)
Was not expecting much, especially with the first song being 22 minutes long. Instead, I got a really pleasant, synthy, vibe-out album that I wouldn't hate to put on while driving or something. It is the Autobahn after all.
Favorite Track: Mitternacht
Was eye opening to hear the intro track and hear that one riff.
Favorite Track: Crystalized
funky instrumentals. Tbh I liked franks Zappa’s other work more
Favorite Track: Willie the Pimp
I'm a Radiohead guy but this was pretty boring. All the songs are very samey, I get that its their style but ~50 minutes of just "ooooh aaaaaaah saaaaaaddd" over a reversed guitar track didn't do it for me.
Was going to give it a 2 originally but Life in a Glasshouse was really really cool. Love the sax.
Favorite Track: Life in a Glasshouse
Such a vibe. mmmmmMMMMMM
Favorite Track: Way Over Yonder
I LOVE YOU DOLLY
favorite track: Coat of Many Colours
Stick to seven nation army gentlemen
Favorite track: Hotel Yorba
VIVA PORTUGAL
favorite track: Girl from Ipanema
Funky stuff. Cool titles
Favorite track: Nutrocker
Didn't like the lead linger but the rest was fireeeee. funky and groovy made me feel so cool walking to class.
Favorite Track: Found a Job
the Goat.
Favorite Track: A Change is Gonna Come
I get it now. So wonderfully layered, absolutely peak.
Favorite Track: Sit Down. Stand Up.
Started off really strong, then just ended...ok. The post-punk brits get old pretty quick.
Not the biggest fan of the lead singer (even if he had his moments) but the instrumentals are something else. Transcendent guitar solos especially in the final track.
Favorite Track: Wicked World
Took me a while to get to this album since the first song put me off. WRONG. Absolutely incredible. Reminded me a little of Nick Cave, at very least the first couple of songs. From top to bottom a gorgeous album, and even more so after I found she was 19 when she wrote/sang/directed this??? Fiona Apple the GOAT.
