Konichiwa - 8.5/10 really solid intro
Lyrics - 7/10, a very ok song with repetitive lines and beat
Corn on the Curb - quite the switch-up from the previous song, it's actually very solid as a track. 8/10
Crime Riddim - very interesting instrumental, but other than that, I think it was decent 7.5/10
It Ain't Safe - very bland chorus, but the verses were nice 7/10
Ladies Hit Squad - sounds like a british drake left over 6/10
Numbers - quit talking numbers CALCULATOR 6/10
Man - 9/10 absolute banger after a tad bit of a snooze fest of a middle section
Shutdown - 8/10 good rapping performance from Skepta and a simple yet effective instrumental
That's Not Me - holy did the album pick up at the back part of it 9/10
Detox - nvm why does one of the dudes sound like hey down 2 tons of helium and then tried to do the deepest voice possible 6/10
Text Me Back - decent song, however, it does remind me of the video of that black guy with the acoustic guitar who was like "I love you bitch. I'm never gonna stop loving you... bitch"
Very gory record that teeters on the edge of uncomfortable to straight up appalling. Despite the negative aspects, I can still appreciate the talent in both: sticking to a theme so random that all the references left me confused about how Keith came up with them, and two, the lyricism, albeit quite out of pocket.
What I tend to find confusing when going through reviews is that people seem fixated on one negative aspect and then just associate the album with that.
Is Dr. Octagonecologyst on the same lyrical ability as Kendrick Lamar's To Pimp A Butterfly? No. But that doesn't make it any less enjoyable to listen to.
Fav tracks: Real raw, 3000, Blue flowers - revisited
6.5/10
1. "The Return of Clyde Smith" (skit)
2. "Shakey Dog" - 8/10, very energetic verses and lyrical performances
3. "Kilo" (featuring Raekwon) - interesting sample usage and Raekwon did his thing as per usual. 9/10
4. "The Champ" - 9.5/10, so high energy with amazing instrumentals that still refrained from over doing it
5. "Major Operation" (skit)
6. "9 Milli Bros." (performed by the Wu-Tang Clan) - 9/10 not much to say was really good
7. "Beauty Jackson" - 7/10
8. "Heart Street Directions" (skit)
9. "Columbus Exchange (skit) / Crack Spot"
10. "R.A.G.U." (featuring Raekwon) - 9.5/10, really fun, and the lyrics were funny, so that's a bonus
11. "Bad Mouth Kid" (skit)
12. "Whip You With a Strap" - 8/10 good rapping performance, but something that I didn't need to hear
13. "Back Like That" (featuring Ne-Yo) - 9/10, one of my favorite tracks on the album
14. "Be Easy" (featuring Trife) - not my favorite but great nonetheless, i did like that ODB reference (Shimmy Shimmy Ya) 8/10
15. "Clipse of Doom" (featuring Trife) - amazing song, the violent energy that the song gives is entrancing 9/10
16. "Jellyfish" (featuring Cappadonna, Shawn Wigs, and Trife), the singing was a bit off-putting, but it's in the same vein as MF DOOM (who also is sampled on this song), so it's not the end of the world, 8/10
17. "Dogs of War" (featuring Raekwon, Cappadonna, Sun God and Trife) - 8/10 no thoughts really
18. "Barbershop" 8/10
19. "Ms. Sweetwater" (skit)
20. "Big Girl" - I like the sentiment of this song, and it was kind of cool 9.5/10
21. "Underwater" - short and sweet and to the point, but also great nonetheless 8/10
22. "The Ironman Takeover" (skit)
23. "Momma" (featuring Megan Rochell) - my favorite track, it's my favorite type of rap song where the MC is forced to look inward and try to reconcile with their past. 10/10
24. "Three Bricks" (bonus track) (featuring The Notorious B.I.G. and Raekwon) - the song in and of itself is good, but it's kind of funny that it comes right after Momma, one of the lyrics in the first verse is "put a bomb in your mama's gas tank" 8/10
25."Be Easy (Remix)" (bonus track) (featuring Ice Cube and Trife) - I like Ice Cube's voice on this song, so it made it 9/10
26."Back Like That (Remix)" (bonus track) (featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo) - this was a bit better than the original 10/10
Bring Da Ruckus - 8/10
Shame on a Nigga -9/10
Clan in da Front - 9/10
Wu-Tang: 7th Chamber - 10/10
Can It Be So Simple -10/10
Da Mystery of Chessboxin' - 9/10
Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuthing ta F' Wit -9/10
C.R.E.A.M. -100/10
Method Man - without the skit, it's 9/10, but now it's either a 15/10 or a 6.5/10, depending on how I feel.
Protect Ya Neck - 9/10
Tearz - 8/10
Wu-Tang: 7th Chamber Part II - 9/10
If I were to rate on how much I think its replayable on the regular for me i would say its 8/10 but if im reviewing based on the actual albums technical and revolutionary aspect then its a 10/10 the use of ninja themed samples and lyrics is crazy though I find some indepedent Wu projects to be more intresting and fun to listen to this album still is a classic for a reason.
Bamboo Banga - 5/10 I can appreciate the experimental aspect of this song but the first minute actually was very hard to stomach. if that wasn't enough I don't think she said anything at all to be honest
BirdFlu - 7/10
Boyz - 7/10
Jimmy - the synth was nice touch but its kind of boring 7/10
Hustle - Afrikan boy was lowkey the best part of this song 8/10
Mango Pickle Down RIver - Was gonna say this song has no redeemable qualities and then some kid dropped the hardest bar "And when I catch a fish, I put it in the fridge" still 3/10
20 Dollar - The concept of the song is cool and I think the message of the song is really important but I think some of the lyrics are a bit corny but it was still solid 8/10
World Town - not much to say was decent 7.5/10
The Turn - this is the experimental I thought I was gonna find more of 8/10
XR2 - 8/10 it got a bit repetitive but it still went hard.
Paper Planes - 9/10 song was a banger
Come Around - the song was really good because M.I.A. wasn't in mortal combat with the beat 8/10
Overall the album had really lows and some high highs I would give it 6.5/10
Raunchy was cool for a second, but then it got repetitive and annoying. I don't really know how this is essential to hear.
Very fun soundscape that I found myself really enjoying, 9/10, one of my favorite listens yet.
solid album but some of the lyrics were really really really corny 7/10
it was obviously aged but i still enjoyed listening to it 8/10
It's cool hearing things that are referenced in other songs that come from this album. Sure things are a bit dated and also led to mad releasing ether but it was a great album nonetheless
it is obviously a very influential album and even without looking at kanye as the reason that its hard for me to fairly assess the album, it still has its flaws (ex: Monster, the last part of runaway, etc.)
7/10
After carefully listening and dissecting lyrics I've came to the executive decision that they may not appreciate the police in the slightest, but i might be wrong
It was a bit underwhelming but it still had some heaters (e.g. lost, thinkin bout you, super rich kids, etc.) solid 7/10
i don't know what's in this sauce but I think i could live my life without, from the first song I knew that I was in for a treat. Buddy sounds like he is physically incapable of being louder than the instrumental, which mind you is so repetitive
4/10
Not my favorite ATCQ album but its still has great lyrical preformance and songs 8/10
Fantastic album with the first half being perfect but then falling off a bit towards the end 7.9/10
4 better or 4 Worse (interlude) - interlude
Oh Shit - 8/10 the instrumental is nothing insane but the chemistry on this song is infectious.
It's Jiggaboo Time (skit) - skit
4 Better or 4 Worse -8/10 it was fine but the skit was kind of weird.
I'm that type of nigga - 7/10 nothing really happened it was just pleasant
If I were President (Skit) - skit (really good)
Soul Flower - Remix -9/10 so far this track has the most energy and flow, its one of my favs from this album
On The DL - 7/10 great rapping performance freak ass subject though
Pack the Pipe (interlude) - interlude
Officer - 9/10 The story was funny and the bars, instrumental, and energy was something I wasn't expected
Ya Mama - ain't no way my mom has a 4:20 diss track made before she was a mom that takes dedication and a certain level of genuine hating that I was not ready for 8/10
Passin' Me By - my favorite song on this album it, I think mainly for the instruments used accompanies their voices perfectly 10/10
Otha Fish -8/10 cool little track
Quinton's On The Way (Skit) - skit
Pack The Pipe - the song is fun and i like the chorus a lot which is why i give it an 8/10
Return Of The B-Boy - phenomanal outro and my second favorite song on the album 10/10
7/10 though I barely understood what was said (because i don't speak french,) I did enjoy his flows and could tell the he had talent
The Genesis - 8/10, the sample flip of his first radio song is really cool.
N.Y. State of Mind - 11/10, Nas starts his verse saying he doesn't know how to begin his verse, then proceeds to spit one of the best rap songs of all time
Life's a Bitch - 10/10, nothing to say, it's a classic for a reason.
The World is Yours - 11/10
Halftime - sure the lyrics are dated, but you have to put it in context of the time and also intention, either way the actual song is still 9/10
Memory Lane - 10/10: The church organs make the song seem angelic, even when the lyrics are reminiscing about the bad as much as the good.
One Love - 10/10 Q-tip is amazing as per usual, and Nas sounds as hungry as ever.
One Time 4 Love - my least favorite song on the album, but it was still great 8/10
Represent - 10/10 this song scratches something in my brain that i can't explain that i feel like the album needed.
It Ain't hard to tell - 11/10 the song is just perfect
Overall 9.8/10 so basically 10/10
Obviously a product of its time, and it's full of all forms of out-of-pocket material that he could think of. Even though it contains homophobic and misogynistic lyrics that were just said for the shock value, I mean, he has two daughters and a gender-fluid kid, and is really close with Elton John. I think the rapping performance is impressive, so I'll still give it an 8/10
bro needs to take a cold shower and take a walk. I understand that during this time period the rap that was being put out was mainly political statements but this album is to horny for me to really enjoy without laughing out due to the weirdness of the bars
It's really interesting to hear songs from 20+ years ago and knowing the context of the artist today, Eminem has matured in many ways over the years (even though I also grew up in the same environment where the F slur was mainly used not in regard to sexuality but just the same as calling someone a bitch). It also odd seeing critisism coming from people aren't even the target demographic (this coming from a black dude who has dated men and women) like jeez man calm down before doing a whole disertation on how someone is inherently evil given one thing the say, research why the say something, music is a form of expression so there is going to be many ways things could be interpreted so the artists actual meaning can be easily changed.

Public Service Announcement 2000 - skit
Kill You - 7.5/10: just dragged on; it had solid rapping, but it went on too long.
Stan - 10/10: not only did it create a new word to describe people who are too obsessed with celebrities, but also Eminem's storytelling ability on this song is immaculate. I find this song to be ironic, mainly because the song was him trying to tell his fans not to take his lyrics literally, as it was just him expressing random things that came to mind, but in all the reviews of the album, people bring up the content of the lyrics. Also, Thank You by Dido is a banger in and of itself.
Paul - skit
Who Knew - 8/10, not a bad song by any means, but it's hard to handle the pressure coming right after Stan. The premise of the song is that he was using music to cope with his feelings, and he didn't think he would gain a cult following that would repeat the actions he rapped about. Trying to tell them it's not a good thing is really interesting.
Steve Berman - skit
The Way I Am - 9/10, it's an excellent single from this record and one of my favorite em tracks.
The Real Slim Shady - 10/10. This is a classic, so it's no surprise it's rated so high. He also says, "We can hump dead animals and antelops, then there's no reason a man and another man can't elope." Once again proving that he is not homophobic, he hates everyone equally.
Remember Me? - 7/10 it was just ok
I'm Back - 8/10, the instrumental alone is a banger. Since Reeve's passing, he needs to find a new dude to rhyme their last name, preferably not Diddy. Mainly because I don't want to hear his name anymore
Marshall Mathers - 9/10 see above message for reasoning.
Ken Kanuff - skit
Drug Ballad - 9/10 fantastic storytelling, but also really enjoy the cadence Eminem uses throughout this song.
Amityville - 8/10
Bitch Please II - 10/10, this posse cut is probably one of my favorites out of Ems' discography
Kim - 8/10 lowkey kind of goofy, sure the technical ability is there, but are we actually deadass
Under The Influence - 9.5/10 iconic song, enjoyable D12 features
Criminal - 9/10 great premise of the song, which only serves to say that people shouldn't take his lyrics literally
One of the best albums I've ever heard.
