The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden

I don't have anything against satanism but at a certain point it's like...ok

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Dec 19 2025

A really great album--undeniably. Buckley was so amazing and transcended and blended genre with such ease and mastery of music. Lover, You Should've Come Over is one of the greatest songs of all time. And yet, insane musicality does not a banger make. Perfectly cohesive, I'm sure a lovely vinyl. But I want an earworm.

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Dec 20 2025

Definitely showcases Amy as a vocalist; and her voice is, of course, just incredible. The album however is a series of sleepy, easy listening cafe standards. A good dinner party album--nothing more, nothing less.

Talking Timbuktu by Ali Farka Touré
Dec 20 2025

It was fine? A good vibe but didn't stand out in any way. Definitely above average for a predominantly instrumental album but still not my fave.

Live And Dangerous by Thin Lizzy
Dec 21 2025

Okay you know what! I thought it was good. I don't care about the live or not debacle. Solid classic rock with some solid covers, a perfectly good listen for the genre.

The Genius Of Ray Charles by Ray Charles
Dec 22 2025

Gorgeous album. I'll admit I had low expectations that were absolutely blown out of the water. Ray Charles' voice is so smooth and so rich; all of the instrumentalists are playing from the heart. A little slow for my daily listening but truly a wonderful listen.

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Dec 23 2025

Super exciting to get one of my favorite albums on rotation. I know each of these songs front and back, in fact even have a tattoo of the artwork on the back of the vinyl. No one has ever done it like Elton does it on this album. The title track is one of the best songs ever made; but this truly is 9 perfect tracks. Complete masterclass in music and always a true delight to have on.

Hot Fuss by The Killers
Dec 24 2025

Fine, some good classic tracks & ultimately better than I expected. Quite repetitive though -- they definitely had a signature sound on this one. Everything Will Be Alright is a cool one I hadn't heard but otherwise it's what you expect it to be. And that's okay.

Nevermind by Nirvana
Dec 25 2025

A fine album for blacking out to. Couldn't tell you how many songs are on it or how long it was without checking the stats. Louder than the voices in my head, which I guess is kind of the point of grunge? The lyrics are straight ass, not to mention the contested cover art. Sorry to Kurt Cobain but this just isn't how I feel my feelings.

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Dec 27 2025

Yeah I get it but it's not really for me. The guitar goes crazy I can't lie. But kinda noisy FOR ME!

Sincere by Mj Cole
Dec 28 2025

It's way too long. But I s2g some people want every album to be Bob Dylan. This was fine! It was fun! Everyone is complaining that it's repetitive as if the second disc isn't all remixes? Like, duh!

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Dec 30 2025

Better, or at least more familiar, than Physical Graffiti. I felt like there was a folky foundation that I found some solace in. Like PG, the guitar is amazing throughout & the drums on Moby Dick go crazy. A solid album & I could definitely see how this is someone's cuppa.

Skylarking by XTC
Dec 31 2025

Had never heard of this band, but Dear God is a song I've liked before from a movie soundtrack I can't remember. The album is okay, very forgettable & especially the initial release without Dear God. Sounds like everything else.

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Jan 01 2026

At no point did I have any idea what was happening in this album but it was so fun to listen to

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Jan 02 2026

One of my favorite albums of all time. A masterpiece by a true master musician. No notes. Pretty sure I listened to Vienna 20 times a day in high school.

So by Peter Gabriel
Jan 03 2026

Breaking: songs that bored me throughout my childhood still bore me as an adult

The Number Of The Beast by Iron Maiden
Jan 05 2026

I don't have anything against satanism but at a certain point it's like...ok

Hot Shots II by The Beta Band
Jan 07 2026

It isn't that it was...bad? It was just so lackluster there were times I forgot I was listening to music.

Berlin by Lou Reed
Jan 08 2026

I actually hated this album so fucking much

Sail Away by Randy Newman
Jan 09 2026

I was expecting worse.

The Bends by Radiohead
Jan 10 2026

Hmmmm I was really excited for this! But....it was just okay. Better than some albums I've gotten recently for sure, & I think that's skewing my opinion.

The Idiot by Iggy Pop
Jan 11 2026

You know what I didn't hate this but I would never choose to listen to it

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Jan 12 2026

Didn't hate it! Was perfectly fine to work to.

Horses by Patti Smith
Jan 14 2026

Really sexy and dark. She's like if Joni Mitchell had a hot evil twin. I'm a sugar not spice girlie so it wasnt PERFECT for me, but I had a lot of fun listening.

Whatever by Aimee Mann
Jan 15 2026

LOVED the first track and was convinced this would be a 5 but it really fell off in the middle :(

First Band On The Moon by The Cardigans
Jan 16 2026

Completely forgettable and uninspired, but not complete trash

Jan 17 2026

A Rush and a Push is actually one of my favorite Smiths songs so I was excited to see it started off the album. The rest was good, typical of the Smiths. The music itself is always great. I just wish the lyrics were less...hateful of women?

Jan 19 2026

Really good. Super easy listen, lots of variation. I love hearing the personalities of each member through their flow.

Beach Samba by Astrud Gilberto
Jan 21 2026

It was pretty albeit a bit delicate for my taste until the track with the literal child on it? I hated that

Jan 22 2026

I can see how this fits into 90s hip hop but it just didn't click for me. Very bouncy, lyrics are packed in, all the makings of a solid album. Nothing against it, not my thing.

Fred Neil by Fred Neil
Jan 23 2026

I didn't love the album and I really didn't love the album art lol

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Jan 24 2026

Really enjoyable listen!!! Gorgeous instrumentals and gorgeous vocals as well.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Jan 27 2026

Many days I find these albums borderline intolerable and I question why I'm even doing this. This one was marginally better, so I guess that's a win.

Kings Of The Wild Frontier by Adam & The Ants
Jan 28 2026

antmusic for sexpeople sexmusic for antpeople get off your knees and hear the insect prayer wild album, borderline overwhelming at times. but that's the vision and I'm on board. he's really committed to the ant thing and, you know what, good for him.

Jan 29 2026

This album is fantastic and is beyond deserving of 5 stars HOWEVER the million minute outro thank you speech really tested me

25 by Adele
Jan 30 2026

Who doesn't like Adele? Not my favorite era but she knows what she's doing

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Jan 31 2026

So many of my favorite songs are on this album but the duds are real stinkers

Here's Little Richard by Little Richard
Feb 01 2026

Listening to this, I see the cultural influence and impact on American music. I just don't like it beyond its space-time context

Debut by Björk
Feb 02 2026

Didn't like it!!

Garbage by Garbage
Feb 03 2026
