good kid, m.A.A.d city by Kendrick Lamar
Jan 17 2026

“Sing about me, I’m dying of thirst” is my favorite track I think. The voicemails left by his mom and dad hit hard for me for some reason. “Backseat Freestyle” is my second favorite track. Anna Wise adds so much to this album. “Swimming Pools” makes me feel like I’m driving in the city at night. “Now or Never” is so hopecore. I don’t really listen to Kendrick that much in my day to day life but I can see why people see him as one of the GOATs in rap.

Violator by Depeche Mode
Jan 17 2026

This album feels so damn erotic. “Enjoy the Silence” is definitely one of my favorites. I can see why people like Depeche Mode. I never really listened to them, just some clips here and there. This album feels like a slow club if you know what I’m saying. Dark red lights, sweaty bodies moving, and of course this music playing in the background. The sounds on “Clean” are so damn sexy it’s crazy. Might be my second favorite track.

Different Class by Pulp
Jan 18 2026

This album doesn’t take its time in starting. This is already started out great. “Mis-Shapes” makes me want to rise against the billionaires. “Pencil Skirt” is so horny, I feel like I’m the one doing the actions. “Common People” reminds me of that one TikTok of these two “hippies” in a giant mansion, really ironic. I love verse 4 of “I Spy”. God, “Disco 2000” does something to my brain I don’t know how to describe it. It might be my favorite. I feel sad for this bed. I don’t know if it’s synths or strings but they are absolutely beautiful on “Something Changed”. I don’t think I could enjoy raves, sounds too sweaty. “FEELING CALLED LOVE”, (im not adding all those periods), is AMAZING. The vocals with the talking played together does something to my brain, I think this song took my virginity. It might be tied as one of my favorites. The message in “Underwear” is so important especially in today’s age where everyone is hooking up with whoever. I personally could never do that. To me, sex is something you have to be really sure of and once that happens, I believe it could be one of the most beautiful moments in your life. “Monday Morning” makes me want to chase the spark in life. “Bar Italia” is the aftermath of hard partying, which fits well as the last track of the album. Before this, Ive never heard of Pulp, but now that I have, this has become one of my favorite albums of all time. The themes are written so well, I feel like I’m there watching it all happen. I will definitely listen to more of Pulp.

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
Jan 19 2026

After the first track, I can already tell I’m gonna like this one. I really can’t wait for that revolution. “Fast Car” goes to show that it is up to us to break that cycle of generational trauma so that our children don’t have to suffer because of it. “Behind the Wall” is a very short track but gets the message across very well. How many times will domestic violence get swept under the rug before it’s too late? “Why?” asks a wonderful question, why? I am hopeful that there will be a time where peace is not bombing someones home. The message in “For My Lover” is very clear in that you should be able to love someone no matter their race, gender, or sexuality. If you think other wise then you are silly. “If Not Now…”s message hits so hard. Show your love before it’s too late. The last track, “For You”, describes that feeling of being so madly in love that you can’t really describe it. A love so big that it transcends all logic and reason. I’ve never heard of Tracy Chapman before but I’m glad that this album was chosen from the list. This album is really relevant in today’s world. Repeating what I said earlier, I really can’t wait for the revolution to come. We really need it.

The Cars by The Cars

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Jan 21 2026

Never heard of this artist but I enjoyed the album. Good vibe. Favorite track is “Light”.

Night Life by Ray Price
Jan 22 2026

I’ve definitely heard the name Ray Price before. I don’t listen to country, but I kinda like the cowboy vibe it’s giving.

1989 by Taylor Swift
Jan 23 2026

Before Listening : Oh this one will be interesting. I never thought I would be listening to a Taylor Swift album but here we go. After Listening : Wow, I don’t even really wanna talk about it. At some point I started asking myself when it was gonna end but there was always somehow another song left. Funnily enough, the only song I kinda enjoyed was “Shake it Off” but that’s not really saying much since all the other songs set the bar really low. I’m still willing to give Taylor Swift another chance but wow, this was not a good start.

Let It Bleed by The Rolling Stones
Jan 24 2026

Before Listening : It’s time for some old school rock. I of course have heard of The Rolling Stones, but Ive never sat down and listened to one of their albums. Let’s see if I like them. After Listening : That was pretty alright! Some songs definitely better than others. “Live With Me” might be my favorite. Yea I don’t really have much to add. Way better than the last album thats for sure.

Ghosteen by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Jan 25 2026

Before Listening : Oh it’s the Scream guy (One of their songs was used in the Scream movies). Other than that, I’ve never heard of them so I’m a little curious. Let’s see what happens. After Listening : I’m sad now. This was so heartbreaking but the sounds were so comforting at the same time. I can’t really choose a favorite here. Yeah I don’t really have much to say other than I hope whoever is going through this type of grief can find peace.

Buffalo Springfield Again by Buffalo Springfield
Jan 26 2026

Before Listening : Never heard of Buffalo Springfield. Time to see what’s up. After Listening : That wasn’t too bad! Might've been my favorite rock album so far! I don’t feel like talking about it though so.. goodbye!
