1001 Albums Summary

I liked Freak Scene and Pond Song, but the rest of the album I found either just okay or annoying, with Don't being physically painful to listen to.

Definitely an Oasis album

Compared to Revolver or Rubber Soul, it really doesn't justify its length. There's one of two great songs, but it's mostly just songs.

I love Tom Petty, but this isn't the best. Few all timers and then mostly just meh.

Another instance where I know all the best songs already and the ones I don't know are just fine

Listening to the score without the movie is a little weird. Like I get the impact because I can tie the songs back to the scenes, but if you've never seen The Virgin Suicides I don't know how much you'd get out of this.

Praise You is the only good song on the whole album sure, but it's a great song.

Every song is about a minute too long, the back half of the album is mostly bad and the front half is mostly great. Big mixed feelings here. I would only listen to half of this album again.

I love the Buzzcocks, this is not their best album, but it's fun. It's loud and fast.

Ever wondered "Hey what if Queen sounded like shit?", wonder no further.

I love Billy Bragg so this is probably inflated, but this album just so great, essential Bragg
