really great! i'll admit i didn't give it the proper listen it deserved. i started listening while high and then on the light rail and the walk to campus. i love the hints of jazz and folk... jumpscare when i heard faggot used multiple times and then another jumpscare when i found out sting on was on that song and then another jumpscare when i saw stills from the music video. and then i remembered singer sting is not the same guy as wrestler sting. aw dunk they don't let you do half stars. i would have given this one a 4.3/5
nothingburger of an album to me. everything sounded the same and nothing was particularly interesting. i kinda find the dude's voice to be kind of grating, sorry! just not my thing
i really liked this! a fun vibey time. sorry i'm not good at reviewing albums. "hell yeah" is my review for this one. i did mix up the white stripes and the smiths for a second
i love a good live album! johnny cash is a silly guy... i don't know if it's just the version i listened to but the censor bleeps took me out of it LOL. johnny's music has never quite been my thing and he seems very tired and frustrated in this one which, like, fair. a couple nice ones here of course
i had a fun time... not really much for me to say about this one, unfortunately. it was okay!
a very white american dad-core album to me........................... i just did not care for it at all frankly
really strong opening tracks! starts to lose me a little bit after, but at no point was i not enjoying myself. it gets pretty silly at points, but i have a feeling Mike Ladd was well aware of this and was having fun with it. really appreciate the experimentation with sound and style and think this album is really underrated.. i was surprised to see the lack of lyrics for it on genius and lack of reviews for it on rym.. not a perfect album, sure, but it's a real fun one that i think people don't give enough credit for. also, metamonad mentioned!!!
it was fine! i honestly don't remember anything from my listen of it! all i know about iggy pop is that he played yelgrun the vorta in an episode of star trek: deep space nine!
i'm kind of surprised this album was on here LOL. this is extremely the type of album that would be algorithmically recommended to me. i would listen to it and think, "damn this is weird and kind of sucks but i really like it." in fact, i did do that. love an album that is experimental, kind of weird and just having fun with it.
fun and fine i don't knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww i am suffering from food-borne illness
i liked this one! especially enjoyed the interlude-y instrumental nature of "despair." i think we should bring back albums that are 45+ minutes long despite only having like eight tracks
so much fun!!! i loved it a lot. something like a 4.5. groovy
it was fine! nothing really stood out to me, I think mostly just not my thing. I don't know if it was just the version I downloaded but there was a 2 minute silence at the end of heard it through the grapevine that made me think my music player broke
probably closer to a three and i'm definitely biased here by already not really liking rchp... album starts off real rough and i cringed at some of the songwriting throughout. kept thinking about how the rhcp frontman is ostensibly tone deaf and also that tumblr post that's like "why you hating on the red hot chili peppers man?" "although i disagree with your music taste i must applaud you for your ability to type this while skateboarding through campus"
this was fun and short yippee! no hotel california though
yeah okay i'm gonna do it. i'm gonna give my first five stars. i fucking love jazz man this rips. i'm gonna listen to this forever actually. incredible time had
fun!!!!!!!!!!!!! nothing else really to say i had a fun good time thank you sheryl crow
i can't keep writing reviews that just say "fun!" but... this was fun :) it kind of fluctuates between a 3 and a 4 for me... nothing particularly stood out to me, but it's varied and creative enough that it also doesn't "blend together". do people still call things "bops"
sorry i am so behind i don't remember this one at all. it was like generic dad rock right. i dread these kinds of albums. i don't care for dad rock at all
kind of silly.. i dunno i like it when they're a little goofy with it the fun is contagious
maybe a little harsh... probably a lot closer to a 3... i liked the album at parts and really wanted to like it as a whole but idk it did nothing for me!!!
fun!!! absolute classic thank you aretha... more like a 4.5 for me
fun! maybe longer than it needs to be? thanks mr pink floyd
whomst amongst us does not love a beautiful ambient album
i didn't love all of the tracks on this album, but i really loved a lot of them! each track more or less really stands out, nothing generic about the sound of this album at all
it was fine i think. i wanted to like it more than i did
god there's so much mastery here! with every track you can really tell they know what they're doing. it all just works. so fucking good
preddy good. a well loved classic for a reason
fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!! somehow the first time i've listened to bjork and i understand the hype. especially love anchor and all the horns <3
i loved this! a solid 4.5 for me, brought down only by a few tracks in the middle that feel slower than they need to be
more like a 3.5 ... i liked this a lot more than i thought i would! unfortunately some of the songs sound so generic pop and do nothing for me. but there are some real gems in here
neat... no wonder people like this neil young fella
this is almost too close to a generic rock album that i would disparage but pixies have a solidly unique sound. some great songs here! but maybe i'm saying this because it's pixies
i really wanted to like this more than i did. fun little concept, a couple great songs. but a lot of songs are the kinda very 60s brit rock which i found kind of cloying. but man if some of them aren't terrific and strange
i am truly coming around on country. not entirely my thing but this was a fun enough listen. plus honky tonk masquerade is just a fun phrase to hear sung over and over again
i mean what can i say............. elliott smith man that you are. epitome of sad indie folk rock
this is great and fun but god i wish this album was half the length that it is. maybe i'm just boring but listening to this for over an hour is fatiguing. but genuinely fantastic!
listen ............................... i know siouxsie and the banshees are the foundation for much of alt rock and goth music as we know it, but perhaps that comes as a detriment for giving them a listen now. some good tracks ! but maybe not my thing
