Merriweather Post Pavilion by Animal Collective
Mar 20 2026

This is an album that on paper I should really like and have tried to like before. But I just really can't get on board with their sound at all. I just don't want to listen to it.

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Mar 23 2026

Impressive that Dave recorded all of it himself! Some good songs but far from the finished article, and there are much better albums by them - colour and the shape came out only 2 years later! Must have some cultural significance from before my time because otherwise I don't really understand how this one made it on the list

Garbage by Garbage
Mar 24 2026

Just sound so.. cool, don't they? Overall decent album and consistent style, Stupid Girl is an all-time classic

Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominos
Mar 25 2026

At the start I was like hell yeah blues rock, this'll be fun! By the time I entered the 10th minute of Key to the Highway, somehow still only halfway through the album, my enthusiasm had waned considerably

The Bends by Radiohead
Mar 26 2026

Just the tonic after yesterday's slog!

All Hail the Queen by Queen Latifah
Mar 27 2026

My apologies, mammoth from ice age 2, I was not familiar with your game. What a fun listen

Crime Of The Century by Supertramp
Mar 30 2026

Some good bits but mostly a lot of progging about for not much payoff

Iron Maiden by Iron Maiden
Mar 31 2026

Not very memorable

Tapestry by Carole King
Apr 01 2026

Didn't recognise the name, knew some of the songs though! Great songwriting stands the test of time

Apr 02 2026

I don't know man. Credit for creativity, experimenting etc., cool theme. So will go for a slightly generous 3 on that basis. It sure is tough to actually listen to though. I can't say I particularly enjoyed the experience, I'm also not sure I was supposed to...?

Green by R.E.M.
Apr 06 2026

Another one where I'm thinking surely there are better albums by this band, why are we listening to this one? I thought to myself if REM were playing a big show would even *one* song from this record make it on the set list? I was curious so I googled and found their 2003 Glastonbury headline set. The answer is no.

At Fillmore East by The Allman Brothers Band
Apr 07 2026

Thought it was nice it was less self indulgent than the Layla album. Then the 20 minute guitar solo hit... Still. These things do happen at live shows. Idk. 3 I guess because I'm tired of all these 2s

Peter Gabriel by Peter Gabriel
Apr 10 2026

Very creative.. so much more interesting than e.g. supertramp

Violator by Depeche Mode
Apr 17 2026

Really good at that unsettling sound, very distinctive and some true classics on this record, I found it did drag on a bit at times but a strong album

Funeral by Arcade Fire
Apr 20 2026
Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Apr 21 2026

Felt more like a technical demo at times. I'm sure it was all very difficult but not all worth hearing

Fred Neil by Fred Neil
Apr 22 2026

Meh. That's the bag I'm in, great. Respect for the weird one at the end

Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Apr 23 2026

Far too long and felt pretty samey. A generous 3

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Apr 24 2026

Another really long one.. but not bad, +1 for boogie with stu

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Apr 27 2026

Nice enough, all very earnest but didn't grip me all that much

London Calling by The Clash
Apr 28 2026

Not aged that well in my opinion, most songs pretty lacking

Five Leaves Left by Nick Drake
May 04 2026

Nice enough but kind of all blurred into one after a while

Electric Ladyland by Jimi Hendrix
May 05 2026

My god, so much of what I heard was completely pointless. Voodoo chile - FIFTEEN?!!!! minutes of pretty much all just disjointed unmemorable riffing and drum fills with zero progression, zero point. Like everybody involved just forgot what they're meant to play next and filling the time while they wait for someone else to remember. Even knowing the best was at the end I DNF'ed. Maybe later, I just don't care any more.

Be by Common
May 12 2026

Strong start, tailed off a bit

Duck Stab/Buster & Glen by The Residents
May 13 2026

I usually give an extra star for being weird. And this sure is weird. So I guess I'm giving it a 0 + 1

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
May 14 2026
Behaviour by Pet Shop Boys
May 15 2026

Some good sounds in there but many songs a bit of a drag

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
May 19 2026

Reminded me of that clash album, but better

Power In Numbers by Jurassic 5
May 21 2026

Only knew concrete schoolyard by them previously which is a tune. Did not disappoint, fun listen

Beach Samba by Astrud Gilberto
May 22 2026

Probably a great one to have wafting over a swimming pool on a hot day.. nice enough but not that interesting to me

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
May 25 2026

Creative, ambitious, strong start but second half was all over the place. Last one pulled it back and with the weird bonus it gets a 4

The Message by Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five
May 28 2026
Happy Trails by Quicksilver Messenger Service
May 29 2026

If I have to sit there listening to like 5 grown adults doing absolutely f all for 20 mins I'm not bothering with the rest. Concerning how many times it's already happened

Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel

Most french thing I've ever heard in my life. Wish I could understand any of it!
