not bad, favs were seasons of a hollow soul and Miss Chatelaine.
more a fan of the stereo album. my favs were happening ten years time ago and mr. zero.
really love this; vocals, instruments, etc. great summary of the genre of music I'm fond of. favorite tracks were dreams, the chain, you make loving fun and gold dust woman.
nice and calming but not really a big fan of it. would be best for a slow day but unfitting for one that went by quickly.
genuinely feels like the instrumental is mocking my ears no matter a track; the most decent I think is the Waltz of the New Moon and Three is a Green Crown (and maybe Nightfall), but in general, the album feels satire.
love it, idrc about its sensual themes, I just love the instrumentals; I find them beautiful and slow in just the right way. Perfect for a calm day.
really love the instrumentals and the vocals, might listen to more songs and albums by Aimee Mann afterwards. fav songs were: I Should've Known, Say Anything, Mr. Harris and I Could Hurt You Now.
really recommend.
Favorite instrumentals in an album so far. Love a good amount of songs here because of that. Perfect for long listens.
mostly noisy, not very much to my tastes, but not the worst. The tracks "Monkey Gone to Heaven" and "There Goes My Gun" aren't so bad.
not bad, but not exactly my taste, but still good.
not bad, I enjoy instrumentals like these. favorite track was Metal. would recommend only to synth lovers; I enjoyed listening to this while writing a small excerpt for characters to a story.
can't listen to "Magic Doors - Live" on Spotify. not entirely a fan of this style of music, especially when some songs had a different key/pitch from the singer and the instrumental. The Rip and Threads are pretty decent, though.
I quite enjoy Blue Orchid. the album's pretty alright, but not my favorite—I do see the potential, however.
I seriously love their vocals, and instrumentals too, they feel so calming and relating to me, as if my exact preferences in music were in one album.
Love the album so far. Cool and fun enough to recite alone or with others in spite of lyrics of heartbreak or lovestruck; each instrumental different from track to track. Favorite tracks are "I had too much to dream (last night)" and "Bangles".
The Toonerville Trolley was an unexpected ending to the album, with quite the goofy instrumental in terms of humor, but not bad.
not a fan of this, but again, not very much the fan of country; especially not the harmonicas.
placing the lyrics of most tracks, however contradictory to each other, to events following her death is quite tragic—the instrumentals are calm yet tense with emotion.
"Take the Box" is one of my favorite tracks, I would give this album a 3.5 out of 5 stars if possible.
"Show Me", "Poison Arrow" and "Many Happy Returns" are my favorites. Most songs resonate with me in a way that calms and unsettles me simultaneously. Genuinely not bad, pretty bittersweet; I love it.
Not bad, really. I enjoyed most of the instrumentals but the vocals weren't exactly my favorite in most songs—and some felt too extended despite my love for long listening. Favorite tracks were Keep on Movin' and Back To Life (However Do You Want Me).
Not a big fan of the lyrics, as much as they were tolerated by the time this was released. Some songs were decent, but the lyrics soured most of them.
I'm a fan of good instrumentals, especially a solo,—a guitar solo—and I'm quite the fan of long listening; this album satisfies both. Super Unison's my fav track.
I enjoyed the first half of this album, though it got a little bland/boring for me later on. Nonetheless, I love this a lot; it's a mix of sweet, sometimes bitter but always maintains a wonderful instrumental for each track. My favorite tracks include: Coles Corner, Darlin' Wait for Me and The Ocean.
It wasn't bad, however I felt as if it were plain. Everything just screamed average; the lyrics, vocals, instrumental—all average. However, I did find Too Soon To Tell pretty cool.
While I don't mind the instrumentals, I do find the tracks a little bit bland, but not bad. It's enough for me to give a few listens but not much of a favorite.
I'm no fan of the instrumentals for most of the songs, and "Little Girl" really creeped me out. No thanks, it all felt like noise.
not bad, not bad at all. I enjoyed the contrasting tracks in each one; lowk felt like a disney musical in a way.
not my favorite, but not the worst.
not bad either though the mix of many genres in one felt overwhelming in some parts, but not intolerable, at least to me.
favorite track's exiles.
not entirely bad though I found a lot of the songs to be average. none impressed me, but none were absolute buns either. A good 3 stars will do.
not as much impressed by it but it was still a nice listen, anyway. favorite track is "Just About Glad" simply because of how I coincidentally relate to it at the time of listening.
I really enjoy the instrumentals here, it's really calm and evokes many emotions at once especially with its lyrics.
it's about time I get recommended an album I already love so much! Nothing or no one can convince me others—peak music right here.
very good, I particularly love how some of the instrumentals contain some orchestra instruments. fav track is Weeping Willow.
Didn't impress me much but was still quite the vibe to listen to. Instrumentals really bring enough space for one like myself to think of while not being too quiet too. Not bad.
tracks are quite short, like really REALLY short, for my preferences but not bad. fav track is mannequin.
very lovely instrumentals and vocals, would definitely recommend! I love more than half the tracks on here.
Quite intriguing on the first half but quieter and more grim in the second half, which I'm not quite fond of. The first half seems to fill your senses with pleasant music while the second half is quiet enough for you to feel exactly what was being said.
Overall, not the worst, though I'd give a 2.8 if I could.
love the guitar and piano in some tracks, quite catchy but still a tad bit lacking.
not the worst, not the best either; keeps me on neutral ground. I'm not a particular fan of the harmonica either.
This album's more of a 2.7 for me.
very beautiful instrumentals and vocals all the way; I suppose the high as referenced in the album cover and first track comes from this.
would definitely recommend.
very chill instrumentals with relaxing vocals and stable track lengths——not too long nor too short. fav tracks are midnite cruiser and brookyln.
nice short album; more of a 3.8 stars for me.
it's nice and catchy while still making an impact with rhetorical words no matter how calm they might seem—one of my favorite combinations.
some of its many tracks really just objectifies the lady they speak of, hell song #4 and empty girl were terrible for that, and the lengthiness in itself made all tracks seem like a blur. all continuations of "old pervert" creeped me out more than ever.
