1001 Albums Summary

15 year old me loved this & I respect him for that. 17 year old me saw AC/DC play at Monsters of Rock but was already exploring further afield. Now, putting nostalgia aside, I find it a touch too much & could easily find 1001 albums I would sooner listen to.

Some great songs on here but has to be rated a 3 against the masterpiece that is Power Corruption & Lies.

Powerful, emotive, strong songs & duets with Thom Yorke definitely add value. Side note: That point when you realise that the album you were once assessing as PJ’s “new stuff” is 26 years old!

What a way to bow out! A remarkable final artistic statement.

For an album made in 1981 this is way ahead of it's time.
