1001 Albums Summary

who is jefferson and why does he have an airplane?

Very spacey. Super moody. Big fan

This album annoyed me. I was happy when it ended.

we have OK computer at home

just fell to my knees in a target

You can kinda tell they went to RISD. Very College Hill-coded. BCA probably ate this up in 1977

not bad, just not my thing. felt like it ran long

I think I heard this in the coffee exchange playlist

the best part of this album is ~9:20 into the last song, when they played Jupiter from Holst’s Planets for like 5 seconds (which was followed by 10 minutes of random noise) I did not care for this album

oh hell yeah

Still sounds so good. That N-word skit was wild tho

opening song hit me like a truck. after that, good working music

BOSTON

I liked it

This is rightfully recognized as a classic. That said. I do not think I am the target audience for this album

this album was the opposite of what i wanted to listen to today

this sounds how Mountain Dew tastes. I do not like Mountain Dew

mild indifference for life

We the best music

Conflicted feelings about this one

good

My dad went to a Public Enemy concert in the 90s. So this is dad music for me.

What if Dominic Fike was from the 90s and also sucked? Lyrical spiritual miracle

The American mind cannot comprehend this album. And I am a proud American 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

loved this

it was ok

This feels like a "Yeah, this was a major influence" album. In that, if you read an interview with, like, Turnstile or Fontaines DC or another rock band today, they'd say, "Yeah, this album was a major influence." Then you listen to the album and recognize the influences, but realize you don't like it as much as what the later band did with those influences. Music is iterative. TLDR it was ok

Total vibe

it was ok. not huge on this one

Give 1000 MCM majors a guitar and they will eventually record the entire works of Surfer Rosa by the Pixies

boomer slop, meet brexit-geezer slop. this was an unpleasant listen

This can actually go to hell. I hated this.

I kinda thought it was gonna be more like Mr Blue Sky but a lot of it was more forgettable than I thought it’d be I’m pretty sure that 88 north song has the same chord progression as “creep” by Radiohead

I don't remember it super well

I love this album. Can listen to it in any mood.

pretty good

brenderaneddie

would’ve preferred if this door stayed closed did every song need organs? …why so many lyrics about little girls? Can we stop please?

Okay ig

The best of like early 2010s indie synthpop. Lots to like

liked it more than i thought i would

i'm garfunkeled out

we calling for wealth redistribution and dismantling of class structures with this one 💪💪🔥

I couldn’t take this seriously it’s so over the top
