Handful of banger songs on there that I really enjoyed, like Subterranean Homesick Blues, Bob Dylan's 115th Dream, Mr. Tambourine Man, and It's All Over Now Baby Blue. I get what people mean about him having a whiny voice, but it isn't something that bothers me and I like the charm of it. Definitely need to listen to it undistracted to be able to appreciate it properly. Couple of skipable songs (Maggie's Farm - and even then still enjoyable), a couple of really fantastic songs, as well as some terrible writing, and some writing that sticks with you. Most of the songs I could get down to in a bar with a classic Old Fashioned or a Bees Knees in hand. Songs for cigarettes, not for vaping. Overall I enjoyed the album! I look forward to listening to more of Bob Dylan's discography.

Understandably goated album - I think this was one of the first prog rock albums of its era that I had ever listened to, and as I listen to it more, it gets better and better.

Kind Of Blue by Miles Davis

Got to be the first time I've ever properly listened to a jazz album. I really enjoyed it, especially So What. After listening to this I gave John Coltrane's A Love Supreme, and then was recommended The Dave Brubeck Quartet's Time Out. Very interesting music, completely original to what I normally listen to. Would love to spend a bit more time listening to jazz now!

Really great classic American album! I think underrated compared to other albums of its era and genre. I wish I had heard of it sooner - I fully enjoyed it. Mrs Robinson goated af

Mask by Bauhaus

some cool stuff in here and i can see how much it wouldve influenced music afterwards. i'm glad i looked at the reviews before reviewing it myself - i agree with others that say the music can be awfully similar between tracks but wasn't sure if maybe i was missing something i could instead learn about. still liked it though.

You Want It Darker by Leonard Cohen
Aug 25 2026

dope as hell... what a random voice and interesting lyricist. i really liked this and im so shocked i had never given leonard cohen much more thought before. i think i would like to listen to him some more. he has a super gritty voice that i'm sure he is famous for. the production is so beautiful and haunting. it makes you feel so many things! like sadness and also love.

Da Capo by Love

another funky one from the list! i liked this a lot. some really interesting production and cool instruments in there. liked the beat. upbeat, beachy, a little bit of early rock. less british sounding. more fun!

another great album! as i hear more on this list though, i think there are some other albums in this genre that i find more enjoyable or can really tune in to listen to.

The Stooges by The Stooges

REALLY liked this album. 1969 is a really funky song. i can't imagine what it must have been like listening to this in the era it was released. it must've been such a weird one lol. it's dirty, gritty, polished, and cool garage rock.

controversial probably but i wasnt really a big fan. i can see why it is so popular and has so many positive ratings but it was lowk a bit disjointed for me.

Bat Out Of Hell by Meat Loaf
Sep 14 2026
