1001 Albums Summary

Listening to the intro with two headphones in and noise cancelling on felt like I was being kidnapped and subjected to government torture. Not sure what the goal is here but it sounds like a retarded 5 year old is smashing their fists on an electric keyboard. Could maybe pass for a soundtrack for an ocean’s eleven remake if it was the special Olympics version. Of course people from the UK would enjoy this. End of the album started to be listenable so that saves it from being a 1/5

Gives me some type of southern nostalgia that I shouldn’t be getting being born in 2003. Makes me feel like I just got done losing the civil war. If he had a bluegrass band playing with him this has 5 star potential.

Much more funk/pop than I was expecting from a Prince album, but makes sense considering it was made in the early albums. Definitely some good tracks but not super imaginative and would’ve liked to hear more guitar. If I wanted to listen to 8 minute long songs I’d just queue up free bird 10 times in a row

Very simple yet wonderful. I have a soft spot for this era of music and movies because I wish I grew up in this time (for everything except the racism). Has an objective and theme and doesn’t deviate from it throughout the entire album. No random keyboard nonsense and 8 minute drag-on songs. Efficient art that does its job, just what I enjoy.

Classic West Coast Hip-hop. Every song was unique and the interludes were perfection. Cant believe I’ve never heard of Jurassic 5.
